I think TS just has a cold. He had a three hour nap today. Shock Thanks for asking, carrots. He's currently having his one episode of Ben & Holly before bed and looks shattered.

zoo, how'd it go today?

I think I may be in trouble with MrScout. Blush

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 19:28

What did you do Scout and was it fun? Wink

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 19:34

Decluttering.

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 19:34

I think in reality I combined two of his boxes but goodness knows.

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 19:37

I should have guessed Scout. Is he not actually articulating it, just in the huff or being grumpy instead?

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 19:44

It's "there were three boxes here...." Yes, what are you looking for? "There was one with camera bits one with computer bits and one with miscellaneous stuff." Okay, what stuff?

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 19:46

He was sort of tearing through a corner of crap. But he did this a few weeks ago, got side tracked and left everything out so I had to pile it all back.

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 21:11

ARGH. DYI when Toddler's sleeping....

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 21:13

DYI?

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 21:17

Sorry, DIY. Blush

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 21:23

Ha ha! My Blush I should have guessed that too. I am not doing very well tonight.

I take it that is a neighbour not MrScout?

Our lovely widowed neighbour has a habit of tinkering in his garage at all times of night, using drills and chainsaws etc.

His dwife used to keep him in check and I haven't got the heart to say anything as he is so lovely.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 15/04/2012 21:36

Just posted my final Ta da list for today on other thread. Smile

[hopeful]

On a more serious note now though, my back is aching tonight.

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 21:51

I am a bit miffed. I have been looking forward to Silent Witness all day and dh has put on a dvd. Thor. I studied Norse Mythology as part of my degree and this is just annoying me.

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 21:57

No, it was MrScout.

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 22:11

Oh dear Scout.

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 22:19

Okay, so we all know how Titanic ends. So why is it always the little Irish children that make me cry in every single version of it?!

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 22:20

I think because at the end of the day we know it was little Irish children who were on it. Sad

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 22:25

In the James Cameron (?) version of it, the Irish mother cuddling her children in bed and reading/singing to them got me every single time and that was long before I had a baby.

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 22:28

It's just awful. So, so, so, so sad. The elderly couple cuddling in bed get to me too.

DON'T WATCH IT.

Watch Thor with your dh and laugh at how shit poor it is. Grin

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 22:39

And I know people were saying how good this 4 part series is but honestly I didn't think it was all that. Not really.

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 23:00

ARGH!

I have done very little decluttering for previously mentioned blow-outs with MrScout. I've just been given the third degree yet again and I haven't touched crap in ages. I've just been trying to tick over and keep things in a bit of order.

carrotsandcelery · 15/04/2012 23:03

Oh Scout. I wish I knew how to help you. There must be some middle ground somewhere with this issue.

Scout19075 · 15/04/2012 23:12

If he'd just sort through the damn boxes I'm sure he'd find whatever he's looking for. But when I ask him for specifics he can't tell me!

I got a bit of "what have you done to get this much space" but when I said it's upstairs waiting to go in the loft he said "there's not enough waiting to go up." So I said "I went through two boxes of my Guiding papers and magazines and decided since I hadn't touched it in three years I didn't need it and it went out." "Oh." "There was a huge box that had six of Toddler's toys in it I removed the toys and the box since who needs a big ass box for six little toys?" "Oh. Well, what about the family-- bathroom?" "That was all clothes and Christmas stuff. The Christmas stuff is waiting to go up and the clothes have been sorted." "But where are the clothes?" "Away or given to people who need them, I've told you that!"

ARGH!

MiL's convinced it's a form of OCD. I think he shouldn't live with people.

He's a good man. Honestly he is, even with all of my moaning. But I am cracking under it all.

bessie26 · 16/04/2012 00:16

You have the patience of a saint, but perhaps you need to "crack" (loudly, in mrscouts direction) for him to understand how much this is getting to you?

Scout19075 · 16/04/2012 07:55

Sorry for the rant. Blush

They always seem to happen on weekend night before bed. I had a crap night's sleep and feel even worse for it this morning. I've decided to plod on doing whatever it was I was planning on doing and just keeping my head down and my spirits even. It feels like this is the only thing we really argue about these days (we've had disagreements, sure, but this is the subject that causes the most heat). Last time it came up I almost completely lost my rag and it ended in tears (literally, and I'm not a cry-to-get-my-way girl).

A lot of people are a lot worse off than I am so I shouldn't complain.
