CatsintheKitchen · 23/04/2012 09:19

{{{Hugs all round}}}

Hope all DC get better soon. DD is just starting with a cold but I have sent her to nursery. The lady at nursery said lots of them have it at the mo.

I need a large coffee as I also had restless night with DD.

liveinazoo · 23/04/2012 09:26

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 12:46

That is a total pest zoo. Good luck. I will have a Brew waiting for you.

He is just brewing a cold I think zoo so he is off to school but I will keep an eye on him. I happened to be outside the school at breaktime and he was bouncy and happy.

I have been washing up all morning at a fundraiser.

I really want to curl up but I have to get the rest of my ebay sales packed up and posted. I did some of it this morning but need to crack on.

CatsintheKitchen · 23/04/2012 13:00

Hello, anyone around?

I've just sat down with lunch. I need to try and get on with things though as I have done naff all this morning. Blush

liveinazoo · 23/04/2012 13:10

offers cats a half hearted ----->

im sooo tired i want to crySad

i think i may have to put on a dvd and try and doze as ds isnt improving at all and i suspect another long nigh is ahead of me

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 13:30

Hi folks!

I am running on adrenalin right now and know I will crash sometime soon.

I have packed the ebay items which have been paid for except one which I discovered a dirty mark on so I have put it in the machine. Fx it comes out or I will have to cancel the transaction.

There are Next parcels sitting her waiting to be opened but I think I will leave that until the dcs are home. Dh will be getting the bill for what we keep [evil grin]

liveinazoo · 23/04/2012 15:34

well done carrots

liveinazoo · 23/04/2012 15:41

carrots i just noticed on the other thread you got twighlights medicine-old age related or poorly?Sad

CatsintheKitchen · 23/04/2012 15:59

Hi zoo, glad you had a bit of a nap.

The kids have been home for 5 mins and already they are argueing Sad

I have been trying to work out our budget for the next month but I haven't got very far with it. Maths has never been my strong point. I hope DH can make more sense of it.

Just going to grab a Brew I am trying to turn a deaf ear to the children as I know they will annoy me!!! Angry Sad

Scout19075 · 23/04/2012 16:16

Just home after insane day of errands, chores and swimming (for fun, not "class"). I have a miserable toddler -- overtired and underslept. Early night, I expect!

Toddler came into us in the middle of the night -- I was already half awake from going to the bathroom but he scared the life out of me. We had a cuddle, I changed his nappy and put him back to bed where he stayed until about 7:30. We didn't have a nap at home today (Sad) so I don't know how he'll be staying in his big bed for nap/rest. When asked he told me he liked sleeping in a big boy bed and that Bunny did, too.

Am going to make Toddler an early dinner so he can have early bed and I can do some more jobs here in the house. I'll update the other thread later, when TS is in bed.

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 17:10

Scout I know exactly how TS feels and I wouldn't like to parent me today Grin Poor you though! Hopefully it means he will settle early tonight.

Zoo the Next delivery is not going to bankrupt us at this rate. Dd has tried on loads and virtually nothing fits. I am relieved and disappointed at the same time. Confused

Ds has yet to try his on. I am too scared to try after dd sobbing her way through hers. Sad

I am so glad I am not a preteen anymore!

The meds for Twilight are ongoing for her arthritis. It is metacam which I think is like ibuprofen although I am not sure.

Your poor ds zoo. Is he asthmatic? Is it related to the cats or to his cold?

Cats I don't do sums either. They leave me baffled most of the time. I just write a list of everything we have to pay for and add it up and see how much that comes to. I then faint and go and look for Wine

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 17:13

What did TS think of the pool Scout?

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 17:37

I just spotted the Dragon

Happy St George's Day to all my English or adopted English friends! Dragon

CatsintheKitchen · 23/04/2012 18:03

I am like this Dragon today.

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 18:05

Oooh! I was like Dragon the other day. 'Tis lack of sleep! Ds is Dragon today too Cats.

CatsintheKitchen · 23/04/2012 18:10

I think mine is also t.o.m. Sad I will probably feel ill for the next week. I hate it every month.

Sorry! Just ignore me I'm moaning again.

liveinazoo · 23/04/2012 18:15

carrots as far as we know he isnt asthmatic,im worried the cats might have triggered it in conjunction with a cold,as dd1 has asthma

hes still very poorly.i brought a trifle and hes eaten some of that.hes had 2 hits steroids and 3 lots inhaler and so far i cant see any difference

i shall be sleeping downstairs with him on the sofas as i dont want encourage him/them in my bed

ive done precisely nothing todaySad

i still have some shopping fro yesterday i havent taken from the bags they came in in

the cats are full curiousity and i cant open a cupboard without fighting them out of it and even pans on the hob have to be watched as they try stick heads in themConfusedi dont have ethe strength for it today and am avoiding beng out there to do anything but give them attention

we havent been able allow them free reign downstairs yet..all attempt have resulted in them going crazy after a little while and becoming very nervous and vicious.they are well and truly institutionalisedSadSad

sorry for the long essaySad

liveinazoo · 23/04/2012 18:17

well done TS and the big boy bedGrin

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 18:25

Sad zoo. They maybe aren't the right pets for you and your zoolets if they are making ds feel so ill. Pets are supposed to help you reduce your stress not cause you more.

Even if cats are ok for your ds maybe an older, more sedate cat would be a better match for you.

I don't mean to sound negative. Only you can know if it is working out or not. You have had a lot to contend with the last few weeks.

Cats I totally sympathise. It is not always fun being a girl. Have you spoken to the doc about how awful it makes you feel?

My ds is very volatile tonight, probably due to lack of sleep and his bug. He has hardly touched his tea but is very settled drawing just now. I fear he may be at home tomorrow if he is like this in the morning. I have confiscated all his Moshlings for waking me up during the night so often. I know that sounds harsh but I know the psychologists would support a totally intolerant attitude to him starting the day so early when he can't cope with being up so early. He can earn one back a day for every day he sleeps properly. Grin

CatsintheKitchen · 23/04/2012 18:26

{{{Hugs for zoo}}} I hope DS starts to get better soon.

That sounds grim for all of you.

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 18:28

She is quite happy now zoo bouncing on the trampoline in the rain. It has rained and rained for weeks and they have given up waiting for dry weather to go and bounce. It nearly always ends in tears but they are so happy on it too Hmm

Scout19075 · 23/04/2012 19:21

It's getting cold -- would anyone like a Brew?

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 19:29

Oh yes please Scout. It is cold here too and very wet.

The good news is my 2 new t shirts from Next fit well enough (I used to be so precise with these things) and dh and ds liked them.

The scary news is that the oil bill is £1009. If we pay before 15th May it is a snip at £971.

It is not that long since the last bill is it? Hmm

The heating, unsurprisingly, has been turned off. Shock

We will just have to be much friendlier with each other and cuddle up. Grin

Maybe it is just as well not much from Next fitted anyone!

carrotsandcelery · 23/04/2012 19:34

Dh has just given ds a hairbrush that his gran gave him before I met him. It is a very precious possession as he doesn't have much that belonged to her. I am a bit choked thinking about it.

Ds is now doing my hair. It feels lovely! Grin
