Welcome to our new festive thread ladies! I am sorry we do not have festive smileys to start off with!

HMHB - yes that is exactly it, use-by dates. I am not massively bothered, but I don't want things to be so, so overripe that I can't bear to go near!

I wish my DC were in bed! DS1 is fast asleep, but DS2 woke up about 20 minutes after my last post and is currently refusing to settle. DH is shut away upstairs working and I refuse to just keep pacing and feeding so DS2 is playing on the living room floor. He is perkier than he's been all day actually after some inhaler, although I can hear him wheezing from here.

I have chocolate though, so not all bad

Everything on my lists atm seems to involve spending money - argh. I am really organised and have a direct debit going out all year into a savings to cover December and Christmas, but with everything extra to do with preschool and having one more in the family the budget is groaning. ELC have got some good promotions on today though, including an extra 20% off all prices if you enter CHRISTMASTREE at the checkout if anyone is still looking for toys etc.

Hello, glad you knew where I was coming from, I think the homework peed me off the most because I had said that dd had maths, reading and writing homework to do and that we'd done the maths on fri before I left but that she still needed to do the rest so could they do it with her. And trying to get her to do it when we were both tired and it was already bedtime was not fun, especially when I was looking around at everything else I had to do before I could get to bed myself. Never mind.

Ali my list has also involved lots of money spending today, food order for ds' party on sat and presents for two other children. However I am also returning a dress and some shoes that I shouldn't have bought so will get a little bit back.

Mmm cheese My friend is allergic to both cheese and chocolate don't know what I'd live on if I were her!

Tis a v v expensive time of year. I was chuffed my dress was only £50.
Things are adding up for us too DH had a new tooth, car service and MOT, upholstery bill then presents, panto's, etc. etc.

Just got back from DS's nativity. It was sooo cute. Just singing really and a lot in welsh but he was thrilled to be up there and kept waving and readjusting his shepherd headdress.

You won't believe this. Warehouse have emailed me to say that the dress is no longer available and therefore is not on its way. I could cry...

The only similar nice dress I can find is Karen Millen for x3 times the price. and my credit card won't work on their site. I have until the 16th to find a frock and my shopping opportunity has now passed.

Am going off for a sulk.
