Oh my goodness Mini I can't believe HMHB's DD is a year old already! If she doesn't pop on here this week please say Happy Birthday for me :)

Right I am crap this morning, feel all headachy and rubbish. I REALLY need to get some jobs done, please can I have a kick up the bum?

anonymousbird · 12/10/2010 11:23

OK! Thanks all (Wink plum/pumpkin), just so interesting and quite a variety...

AnonBird - DS (just turned 6) and DD (almost 5).
Alice - DD 2.11yrs and DS nearly 8wks
Ali - DS is 2.3, DC2 still gestating
Plum - dd1 (9.5), ds(7) & dd2 (4 in a couple of weeks)
Mini - DD1,37, DD2,34 and DS1 34 and DGS1 is4 and DGD is 1
Wasting - DS 2.5 (plus DC2 gestating ??)

DH has just left Sad. He is away til a week on Friday Sad Sad and has gone to lots of REALLY good places on this trip. Bermuda/New York/Toronto/Bahamas/Cayman.... how about that?! We have a busy schedule the next ten days, so it will go by in a flash.

Oh, and a super duper bonus, he "found" FORTY POUNDS in his suit jacket pocket (doesn't wear a suit very often!). Think that me snatching it out of his hands handing it over slightly eased his guilty conscience about the horrifically expensive jeans!!!! I can feed the three of us for the rest of the week on 40 quid!

Oh and i have to tell you about my winning the slatterns trophy for the week Grin

DH mentioned that the cupboard side next to the chest freezer was going mouldy, yuk. As the vent for the freezer is next to it.

So i pull out the freezer and find:

  • lots of dust & cat fur
  • fridge magnets
  • random bits of toys
  • blanket
and...
  • a dead mouse Shock

to be fair i don't think it had been there that long as was in 'good nick' must have hidden from the cats and died of heart failure or something. Luckily i'm ok with dead stuff, it's the alive, running around, squeaking ones i don't like!

Anyway, i have dusted (even behind & in the radiator), hoovered, cleaned the floor and started on the mould.
Also realised the seal/edge of freezer was pretty bad too, never seen it but it must have been there for while so cleaned that too.

Going to use my Lakeland mould spray on the cupboard even though it says not for wood, hey ho you can't normally see that bit.

Back again

(my ds is 8 and my dd is 6)

Children in the pool, I'm making spag bol.

Have just turned the place upside down looking for dh's passport as he's away for a couple of days and he's just remembered he gave it to his HR department as they're sorting out our visa's. Angry

Have done the basics today, everything will have to change when our crates of crap stuff arrive ! Shipping people have still not got back to me .. hopefully the ship hasn't sunk ? Hmm

anonymousbird · 12/10/2010 13:09

JKS - cor, well done!!!! Especially despatching the dead mouse. DDog often presents me with mouse/pigeon/rabbit parts, and even though I have got a bit used to it, I always shudder a bit... several plastic bags required between my fingers and the dead animal!

Freaki - fixing a boiler

And, yes, the jeans are rather nice actually, not his usual baggy/saggy round the bum ones. He looked a treat as he trotted off into his taxi.... some tasty bit on BA is probably chatting him up as we speak, as she serves him his just-about-to-fly-Club Class aperitif (in his DESIGNER EXPENSIVE SEXY jeans Envy).

Spacehoppa my DS has his first jabs tomorrow Confused

I made the mn recipe of the day/week/whatever today, it is very easy and very good. Thanks to a top tip from my friend: Don't peel the butternut squash, you will never go near one again if you do, cut it in half lengthways, scoop seeds out, put a blob of butter in the hollow, then roast it like in recipe, when done, scoop flesh from the skin - very easy.

Friend didn't come over today, as her DD was poorly. Was secretly pleased as i was knackered and had a little nap instead of running around trying to make house look ok.

Might make a sponge pudding...
