Slatterns, you are beckoned!

Come hither from thither but do not dither!!

JustKeepSwimming · 11/10/2010 12:51

Missed loads of posts as i was so long posting mine - with interruptions from grandparents wanting to check up on me, lol!

Anon - that's funny, i love Bermuda, been there to see DB twice, wish we could go again but can't see we'll manage, maybe after the baby - though travelling with 3 doesn't appeal!!
Is your DH in finance/accountancy/reinsurance? both DB & SIL are, seems like most people out there are. Tends to spoil a good accountancy joke Grin

I'm 13 weeks :)

anonymousbird · 11/10/2010 13:00

I love Bermuda, it is just so civilised. Lucky enough to have been with DH on two of his trips (he goes a couple of times a year). He then gets to fly on to New York and spends the weekend with his best mate and family - by far his best trip of the year. Envy.

Yes, he is in reinsurance. Quickest way to get someone to glaze over at a party, tell them what industry you work in Wink. Most people don't even know what it is and kind of go "oh right then Confused"

Can't believe I just FILLED my Dyson by only hoovering the hall, the cloakroom, the kitchen and utility. Bleugh. Gross. Only did it all on Friday. Bloomin dog moulting big time is most of it...

Note to fellow listmakers anyone even vaguely thinking of having a dog, who does not already have a dog, you are welcome to inspect the state of my Dyson (which is emptied several times a week) if you need any persuasion as to the annoyance value of dog hair. And, she isn't even particularly hairy IYSWIM!

I have in the past in fact taken the hoover brush attachment directly to the dog.... it's quite gentle, I would never hurt her, but sometimes the hair really gets me down

Am sitting down with tea and chocolate
I have polished a brass thing, checked my temprature and am ok Grin
Laugh at hoovering dog anon, sometimes think that that would be a good idea on cat (v. fluffy always shedding) but getting cat off ceiling and spending time in A&E to deal with wounds put me off trying Grin
Gorgeous day here so may go and sweep a bit outside, i'd be reading a good bok if I had one, repeating to self am having day off, step away from the desk.

JustKeepSwimming · 11/10/2010 16:56

Mini - if you find a good way to hoover the cat let me know :)

Yes Speech Assessment went very well thanks :) He is now about 18/19months, when he was effectively 0 pre-surgery, so that's a lot of progress in 9 months :):)

HV also v pleased with his progress - she only comes to be polite and interested really as he's an unusual case, and unlike most HVs isn't full of crap bollocks advice!

Think thats what you mean't AnonGrin

Alice I thought you had another name change as there is another Alice about, think Ali is right dd has realised hes not going anywhere and there is not much to do with himGrin
If it is any comfort that is the age gap between dd1 & ds and we watched back home videos of them when they were little and it was hilarious, she was being a proper little madam to him and he was just toddling about doing his own thing

Well my cold is still here so not helping my weightloss efforts as I really CBA doing anything, going to go now and boil the kettle for a hot drink

empty dishy and maybe some ironing
