Had my date this afternoon. Had a really nice time but no fancying...

wastingaway · 09/10/2010 18:58

Freaky, the more frogs, the higher chance of a prince. Smile

Well, I didn't get all that list done but I am pleased with what I got done and a couple hours of DS-free brain space was relief.

I am trying to ensure some more time tomorrow to get the main jobs done.
I will point out to DH that he either looks after DS or cleans the oven. Grin

FreakoidOrganisoid · 09/10/2010 19:01

Grin At least we got on well and had a good time. He wants to see me again...

Oh Freak that is a shame, never mind. Good to dip your toe back in the water :)

We've been down to see MIL today, who had a knee-replacement done 2 weeks ago so is being looked after by her 87-year old mother (G-MIL) while step-FIL is away working. Was nice to see them but G-MIL drove me a bit bonkers by not wanting me to do anything, pick DS up, bend down etc etc. I am 4 months, not 8 months FGS! She meant well, but argh Grin

No list tomorrow either, we are off in the other direction to my Grandma's house to see my cousin who is over visiting from the US. My parents will be there though and Mum is in charge of catering so I won't have to do anything, especially as DS attaches himself to my Dad the minute he sees him and won't be separated, hooray!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 09/10/2010 22:27

Sounds like a busy weekend ali but at least you can take it easy tomorrow.

He seems v keen Confused have had texts saying he hopes we can do it again and checking whether I had a good time. Also have had text from friend saying he had asked her to find out if I want to see him again. Eek!

anonymousbird · 10/10/2010 08:45

Oh Freaki... would you like to see him again? Even just to be sure?!?!? Any chance your view might change, or is it a complete non starter? Or would that be giving the wrong impression. He sounds VERY keen!!!!!!!

Today, no main list but generally involving:

Watch DS play rugby
Tidy up (house is tip!)
Ironing uniform
Roast Dinner
Submit DH's tax return (website currently off line)

Morning Smile

Freak glad you got out on a date even if he is a bit of a frog like wasting said Grin Don't settle for something, you are too good for that Smile

Ali when we were at FIL's back in february (i was 16wks?) his step dil kept telling me off for bending, picking up toys, reaching for the cereal etc. That is taking it a bit far isn't it? Especially as i have a toddler and two horses that need seeing to every day Grin

Well DH now knows what i spend all most of my time doing - getting children ready to leave the house. He has taken DD to work with him this morning and seemed to think it would only take 5mins longer to get ready than normal Hmm They left 35mins later than he thought they would Grin and that is with only one and me helping towards the end (oly because he was threatening to leave her behind)

DONE
Everyone up
DD and DH breakfast and out
Strip DD and DS beds
Put sheets onto wash

TO DO
Empty dishy
Reload dishy (seem to be about one meal out of sync atm)
Get dressed
Strip our bed
Get DH to hang first lot of sheets out (too many fecking spiders in our garden!)
Wash our sheets
Wash some cot sheets
Write meal plan and shopping list
Go to Waitrose
Lunch
Horses
Put F's cot up
Take down crib
Cook dinner (roast?)
Leave kitchen clean and tidy!!
DD bath and bed
F bath (and bed?) Set monitor up
X factor results! (actually that ! makes it look like i particularly care, and at this stage i can hardly remember any of them, apart from Wagner - he was great - this years Jedward perhaps?)
Shower
Feed and change F
Bed

Sad Plum, how much do you want to lose? Is it just belly or all over?

Lol at your dh alice Grin

Anon I will probably see him again but think it's a non starter. Am dreading having to tell him that, especially as my friend was so excited about us going out and feel like I will disappoint her as well! But like alice said I don't want to settle for anyone, would far rather be single than involved with someone I don't want to be!

Pumpkinbummum · 10/10/2010 12:22

Freak Mostly belly, as I have large chest anyway, and I have been graced with nice legs, but have obviously put abit on all over too, I think I would be one of those people you wouldn't be sure wiether I'm pg or not Sad
I need to lose at least 2 stone, I am 5'4.5" and the wrong side of 12 stone, ideally I should probably be 9 and half but I would rather be realistic

Plum Do you walk much? I thought i was quite active, but i got a pedometer and i was only doing around 4000 - 5000 steps a day. Apparently the average person does 6000 and for weightloss/increased fitness you should be aiming for 10,000 a day.

Pumpkinbummum · 10/10/2010 14:10

Alice I used to and did find it the best way to lose weight so I am going to start again, as of today, going to hop up though it is blowing a gail outside.

have just cleaned out oven wasn't on my list but needed it
& brushed kitchen floor

going to go weigh myself and write it on calendar

FreakoidOrganisoid · 10/10/2010 14:12

I do 13,000 [smug]6 out of 7 days anyway, I generally have a layabout day once a week. I don't use the pedometer every day but know roughly how many steps my usual journeys are now.

Am still massively unfit though, when I was in london I had to run for my train from the tube and it nearly killed me Blush

Upping the walking has helped lose the tummy tyre I was growing though, it's still flabby but mostly flat now and I have my waist back.

JustKeepSwimming · 10/10/2010 16:30

I am totally unfit Blush - used to walk to local playgroups and so on but have got out of the habit, am determined to try to walk more as i find myself getting breathless when pg anyway and being unfit doesn't help.

My brother (who lives in Bermuda) just skyped - his wife is pg :) due just a week after me so that's fab, bet my parents are happy, haven't had a chance to speak to them yet.

Went for a walk took me 30 mins, but I can't stop thinking of food, think I will make dinner early,
need to start doing hannah Waterman DVD again from what I read on Amazon sounds similar to Shred

and sort out washing
and fix exercise bike

FreakoidOrganisoid · 10/10/2010 17:18

30 mins is usually 4-6000 steps for me so that's good plum. Dancing while ironing bumps up the count a bit too Grin

Pumpkinbummum · 10/10/2010 18:18

Yeap I reckoned it was about 6/7 it was just over a mile with lots of hills

Just had chicken byrani(sp) healthy style, actually had a nosey at the swartz site and they have a meal planner which was quite good and healthy recipes

so going to
load dishy
clean /tidy kitchen
exercise bike/HW DVD
drink lots of water

FreakoidOrganisoid · 10/10/2010 18:46

RANT ALERT
Am really annoyed with H (as usual). When he called to discuss times etc for the weekend on fri wc was here and he heard him talking to ds and first hung up on me then called back and said "is there a man in your house?" then when I said yes demanded to know who it was and if I was seeing them. Then after he picked the dc up he rang again asking who my new boyfriend was because apparently someone told him I had one Hmm And today when he brought the dc back he was asking loads of questions about what I did yesterday and who I saw etc etc. NONE OF HIS BUSINESS.

And add to that he is paying me over £100 less maintenance than the csa recommended because I "left him in that big house and left him with nothing" (NOT true) but the deal was he'd help buy any extras the dc needed (such as school uniform or shoes). And we were supposed to be reviewing it once he moved to a cheaper house. He gave me NOTHING towards dd's uniform, even though I told him what I'd spent on it, when they went a couple of weeks ago I said they both needed new wellies could he pop in to Sainsburys with them and get some (told him what size). No, he obviously couldn't. And yesterday dd put her trainers on and we realised they were too small so I said she only has those or school shoes can you get her some new trainers yeah yeah-again she has come back with nothing. It really annoys me that he can't do that for his dc but yet can afford to go to the pub every night Angry

Suppose I should be grateful he gives me anything at all for them...

WC tells me that h's neighbours hate him because of him being inconsiderate with noise and having late night drinking sessions etc, that at least makes me happy Blush

JustKeepSwimming · 10/10/2010 19:25
