I'm having a wobble, I'm not sure the colour of the walls is working with the floor tiles in the family bathroom - thoughts?

And if it doesn't work any suggestions?

I thought olive green or grey until I saw the picture coming up the stairs with the blue of the hallway... it's got to be white/neutral I think (the same colour as the top part of the wall would look lovely). Make your tiles the star of the room.

I agree the blue is ok, and a beautiful colour, but not quite right.

Your home is gorgeous.

I really like the tiles and the blue on the tongue and groove. I think the wall colour is a bit pale and bland, I would go richer and warmer on the wall colour - picking out the darker beigey colour in the tiles would be best I think and would bring it all together.

Please don't use scotia edging, it is horrible and I've only ever seen it used on laminate floors.

Your house looks lovely, I am extremely jealous of your parquet!

I think it looks lovely just the way it is.

I don't think they go well. I'd go for s browner grey or an olive-grey.

This sort of colour but maybe a bit greyer.

Whole wall the same colour would work well. The panelling and flat wall would still have visual interest with the varied textures without fighting with the pattern of the floor tiles.

The suggestions n to have the whole of the wall the same colour is good. 👍🏻

Tatlerer - I bought these tiles a while ago too, I think BSO is cheaper, free delivery too.

Can I ask where you got your panelling from? We need some for our bathroom and I'm going round in circles trying to find the right stuff! Thanks. PS love your bathroom!

The panelling is just from B&Q, but the skirting and the top part were purchased separately. The top part is actually and upside down picture rail! It was all put together by a carpenter and I like the overall look of it.

Having collected over fifty pounds worth of paint samples (!!) I finally decided to go for the top colour over the whole thing for the time being (not yet done), if I like it it will stay that way if not I will change the colour once the rest of the house is sorted, I was spending far too much time focusing on this one decision and I wasn't happy with any of the samples. I am not usually this fussy but this room really defeated me.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this. Ended up painting it all the same colour (the wall colour) and it looks lovely
