Would you expect these items in a holiday rental?

Lemon squeezer?
Cheese grater?

I highlighted to a holiday host that these missing items would have been useful and she felt they weren't standard items.

What random items have you also expected but not had? Oven gloves are sometimes not provided. I've stayed in a place without a sieve.

A cheese grater is a standard item. A lemon squeezer nice to have, but you can easily squeeze lemons without one.

I've stayed in places where you needed to wash up by hand, but no drying rack. One had no washing up liquid either.

Last place I stayed had a freezer door that fell off, hob ignition that didn't work, and there was something scuttling around inside the fan extractor - suspect rat.

I don’t own a lemon squeezer so wouldn’t know to ask for one! Cheese grater - maybe in a fancy one, no expectation in a standard sort of rental though. Mostly we just expect very random supplies and are happy with a bonus!

Cheese grater yes, I think it’s a pretty standard item. Unless it’s the sort of place with a microwave only - if there are pots and pans and wooden spoons I’d think a grater is normal.

I agree with others though, you can squeeze lemons without a squeezer so probably not expected.

Cheese grater - absolutely yes. Surely half your meals if you're self catering are bowls of pasta and salad.
Oven gloves - I always use a tea towel, even at home, so no.

I’d never use either personally because we tend to mainly eat out but they’re not exactly exotic items and fairly standard issue in holiday lets?

Cheese grater yes. Wouldn't be bothered by the lack of lemon squeezer, they're a nice to have.

Have been to one before that had no corkscrew. That really annoyed me.

Cheese grater is standard everywhere ime of self catering.Lemon squeezer definitely not.Keep a box in the car with items like that in for when you go away,that's what we do.
