Curious, I know it’s nosey.

We are looking at a package deal for just over £2000, all in, all inclusive and for 5 days. 4 years ago we only paid £1300 for something very similar and think we stayed an extra night. Is this the normal kind of price hike that everyone else has been finding when booking too? We don’t have to think about school hols either just yet which I know is very lucky - I was looking for a week in later spring and it was obvious very quickly which one was half term.

5k for a week in Tenerife B&B in July for 2 adults and 2 children plus spending money. I am amazed by all the good deals on this thread although I have to admit I am very picky when it comes to accommodation.

City break in Spain next month, 3 nights £900

Villa in Mallorca for a week in October half term, 3 adults 1 child. £2500, plus probably £1k spending money.

SaraSosej · 08/04/2025 15:55

Disney cruise for 4 of us in July £5500 for 5 nights

StrikeForever · 08/04/2025 16:09

I’m amazed at so many (relatively cheap) holidays here. We went to Crete with Jet2 (so no business class) for one week in a 5 last October. For two adults bed and breakfast, it was approximately £3000. It’s about the same for this October. Tenerife in February, also 5 bed and breakfast, with Jet2 flights £3400. We are flying from Newcastle. I know it’s cheaper from London.

Is that for 2 adults? If so, it makes me feel a bit better.

I have always loved a holiday bargain. The first time I ever went to Corfu I paid a whopping £68 each for me and my 3 kids for a full week including flights, transfers and a hotel. That was 11 years ago. In 2023 we found mega cheap flights to beziers, France and got 3 euro camp caravans on the cheap. Worked out at £1400 for 13 of us including a minibus taxi transfer from the airport. Could have been cheaper but we value our privacy and nothing could make me share with my mother 😂. That was in June. Then the school term time rules changed and it all went expensive. I’m really glad my DD is in college now, she can still come away with me providing it’s not exam time etc and we love travelling.

TokyoSushi · 08/04/2025 16:32

Tenerife, 2 adults, 2 early teens, August, 10 nights all inclusive, £3.5K which I consider a bargain as we paid over £5K for the same in Turkey last summer.

ViciousCurrentBun · 08/04/2025 16:40

We have just paid almost 70k for a Motorhome and will be travelling around the UK and Europe in a few major chunks. Probably 6 months out of the following 12 months, maybe more. But this will be for the next few years. Starting with a month away late June to late July. Wont ever be travelling over the summer holidays or Easter.

riverislandjeans · 08/04/2025 16:41

Skallerup in northern Denmark 16 000 dkk. Cannot wait.

SpringIntoApril · 08/04/2025 17:01

£3k everything for 2A & teen skiing in French alps in march. Never understand why people say how expensive it is when I see the prices folk pay on here for sun hols. We just prefer a winter break to a summer one as we live by the sea in uk.

Snail01 · 08/04/2025 17:04

15k, 3 weeks in Tanzania in August, 2 weeksish on safari etc northern and southern serengeti and 10 days Zanzibar. I feel a bit sick at the cost to be honest but we haven't had a holiday together in 4 years and have both suffered significant bereavements over the last year. Not to be repeated though sadly!

IrritatedEarthling · 08/04/2025 17:04
