Ridiculously excited for holiday! Anyone else?

I’m so excited to be going away this weekend that I can’t stop clock watching! Time is adding incredibly slowly as I count down the hours to my flight on Saturday.
For the past few nights I’ve even woken up at 4am bursting with excitement! It’s becoming quite annoying now and I wish I could focus on something
else.
Is anyone else feeling the same? How are you passing the time?

Yes but I can change date of return flight up to 2hrs before departure. The charge is £50 unless return flight more expensive.

Who do you fly with @Oliesjola ? I didn't realise you could do that - although I have seen an option on Ryanair which was a lot extra to start with .

Username - ah, I bet it was lovely after so long. Dd hadn't been away as long as that but was so good to see her.

We've enjoyed 12 days holiday together now and have a couple of days left. Then dd is staying here in the USA for a further 3 weeks exploring a couple more places with her new friends, before returning to Orlando to meet up with her auntie, uncle and cousin for a few days. Then should be heading home - though maybe via Canada for a couple of days to see a school friend who has just moved there for this current semester.

In the meantime I will be googling holidays for the winter!

Thanks we are very pleased with it. We arrived in Mauritius this morning. This is the first hotel, Long Beach. Had lovely taxi ride along coast for 1.5 hours to hotel with lovely scenery coast and fishing boats and green mountains. Then had a few drinks and samosas and ice cream by the pool and went in sea and lovely evening meal with cocktails. Tomorrow we have breakfast, then glass bottom boat, snorkelling, lunch and dinner in the Chinese restaurant. About 26C and sunny today.

Another tough day in Mauritius, snorkelling, glass bottom boat, beach and lovely meals and cocktails. I could get used to this. 26C and sunny again.

We are back. Landed in a wet, cold and grey Manchester a few hours ago having left a very hot, sunny Orlando.

Dd is still out there enjoying her American adventures for another 2-3 weeks.

So, time to start planning the next escape.

Ha ha! Already started taking a look yesterday evening.

117 days until our next holiday. We're going to Tenerife for Christmas and New Year - never been on holiday over the festive season before so I'm not sure how I'm going to feel.

My 2 grown up sons have serious girlfriends and are ok with it & my parents will spend the Christmas day with my brother and his family.

We plan on having a Christmas get together the week before.

I'm really looking forward to it but also wondering what it will be like.

@BG2015 Do you know what your Christmas Day will look like yet? Is there a special day put on by the hotel?

I believe the focus is more on New Years Eve than Christmas Day. I know they do a Gala dinner & fireworks.

We are back from 4 days in Paris - we ate, drank, looked at art, went to a festival and did a bit of shopping. Even though it was at least my 10th visit, it never disappoints 💜

The countdown is now on for our summer holiday to Mykonos next Saturday! ☀️

Three weeks into our Bali holiday, having an amazing time, was woken at 4am this morning with the bed shaking under me, it was an 7.1 strength earthquake. Luckily no tsunami as apparently distance from beach is not what matters, it’s height above sea level (not much). Who says travel isn’t educational 😁

We've not been abroad for 5 years but its been great reading about everyone's holidays and the excitement of it all

Quite glad missed the flight chaos yesterday though we are terminal 4 so seemed to have escaped yesterday too.

Today's lunch. Love this place so much. Can relax instantly and came after 2 very difficult years for us.

Looking forward to 10 days of this (and all the Greek food). 💜
