Ridiculously excited for holiday! Anyone else?

I’m so excited to be going away this weekend that I can’t stop clock watching! Time is adding incredibly slowly as I count down the hours to my flight on Saturday.
For the past few nights I’ve even woken up at 4am bursting with excitement! It’s becoming quite annoying now and I wish I could focus on something
else.
Is anyone else feeling the same? How are you passing the time?

We fly to Egypt on Friday, I'm super excited but have noticed since Covid, I'm also waiting for things to go wrong to stop us going. It's so silly I know and I never used to feel like this, but having to cancel our dream holiday in 2020 seems to have created some anxiety. Does anyone else have this or is it just me? I'm not an anxious person!

Yes we had to cancel our holiday last year because I was seriously ill with heart due to covid, I did not actually believe we were going on holiday until we were on the ferry

We're going to Turkey too next year, Olu Deniz.

Love Turkey but not stayed in that particular area before.

We just booked our holiday last night. We go on Monday. I quite like booking last minute as suddenly you're off on holiday and don't have the big wait.

I'm with you OP, we fly to Mallorca on Saturday morning and I can't bloody wait, I'm soooo excited!! And yes, time does seem to be passing extra-slowly!

Wah same. Three weeks from now I’ll be in Tokyo. I cannot wait.

Work is handily keeping me busy though, I slept for three hrs after dinner last night I was so knackered 😵‍💫

my only concern is the jet lag on arrival whilst navigating the tube into the city.

We go on Saturdays! Dd has sent us out free park tickets she has got from working recently for the first week.

2 more days and not only do I go away for holiday, but also get to see my girl after 10 weeks working away!

Next holiday is Scotland in December and too far away for a countdown.

@Blackwidow47 if it’s Haneda it’s really well-signposted for monorail to Hamamatsucho and change there for elsewhere in the city. We were ridiculously excited by the monorail swooping over Tokyo bay.

I’m going for melatonin on the flight and then coffee and energy drinks on arrival! My last long haul was really marred by jet lag so I’m going to make more of an attempt to avoid it this time!

I’m going on a very expensive holiday and I’m not excited at all. I think I’ve got ptsd after covid and am scared it’ll all get cancelled. Also worried how I’m going to get all my work done as well as the packing etc for the family…dh does his own but would be useless with the kids stuff. I feel quite sad that i have zero excitement about it all as I used to love going on holiday. Hoping when im at the airport it will kick in.

Also very excited. Off to Mauritius with my 17 year old DD soon, staying in 2 lovely hotels Sugar Beach and Long Beach with all food and drink and watersports like kayaks and windsurfing, glass bottom boat, snorkelling etc included. In tropical gardens with coconuts and gorgeous beach and pools including an infinity one which I have no idea what that is but DD thinks is very good.

@Usernamen I’m lucky enough to still be on it. 2.5 weeks so a couple of days left. It’s incredible and definitely justifies all of the hyped up excitement beforehand.
