Ridiculously excited for holiday! Anyone else?

I’m so excited to be going away this weekend that I can’t stop clock watching! Time is adding incredibly slowly as I count down the hours to my flight on Saturday.
For the past few nights I’ve even woken up at 4am bursting with excitement! It’s becoming quite annoying now and I wish I could focus on something
else.
Is anyone else feeling the same? How are you passing the time?

We’re going to Menorca in 6 weeks, because it’s just me and DH now so we’re not tied to the school holidays anymore. I’m so ready for lazy afternoons on Cala Galdana beach.

I am so excited for my camping holiday in Scotland in our bell tent. Just the two of us now our children are all grown up. This will be our 3rd time this year. We don't eat out and we don't do holidays abroad and I don't do hot weather! Just a very basic adult only campsite with no facilities but beautiful scenery. We camped in the bell tent in March in -5C with snow, hail and rain. Absolutely lovely but probably most people's idea of hell, I am so excited every time we go.

Yep off to South of France tomorrow. Early start to get to the tunnel for 8 a.m. I really should go to bed before I have to get up again. Slightly stressed about fitting everything into the car - jenga style! Happy holidays people!

The countdown is on for my holiday too!

USA road trip through Pennsylvania, Delaware Maryland, Virginia & New Jersey.

Cannot wait! 🇺🇸

I am very organised in terms of flights, hotels, activities. But I will leave the case packing until the night before 😂

I have a whiteboard with a holiday countdown in my hall and changing the number every morning makes me so happy! 13 days to a month in Bali for us. Unfortunately my younger two have just started semester 2 at Uni, I was hoping they could join us for a week but they are busy so it’s just DH and I.

Have a great time OP! I'm looking at our next holiday - we have had a week away abroad in May and I'm looking at a week in September now, We are free of the 'school holidays' after many years. So much cheaper we can have 2 holidays for the price of one.

Florida, 2 weeks on Saturday. My family and my sister's family. Can't wait!
E-tickets arrived in my email this evening! Ds3 and I went out this morning to get cabin bag treats and activities. Sooo excited! We've had it booked for such a long time, I can't believe it's nearly here!

@FirstDayOfHoliyays Now that you’ve read everything on TripAdvisor, your next stop is to watch every Tenerife travel vid uploaded to TikTok in the last 3 months. That should help to pass the time!

@PeanutButterOnToad Ooo - a countdown whiteboard. Next time I’ll have one of those so
that DH will realise he IS going on holiday in two days and needs to start sorting his clothes!

Very jealous of everyone doing France or USA road trips. They’re both on my list of future things to do. @Vanillalime What made you choose those specific destinations?

@countdowntonap Philadelphia has always been on my list, so this was the first opportunity to actually go. And then I was watching travel blog on YouTube and the guy visited Luray Caverns just outside of Shenandoah NP. I thought it looked cool so that got added to the list!!

I then spent ages on Google maps looking to see how to build a road trip out of those 2 destinations & ended up with a nice loop in & out of Philly 😀

We're off to Majorca for the last week of August. I booked last year on a whim after seeing a gorgeous hotel on Facebook. Currently ill at home in the rain and can't wait!

I love holidays but get a bit anxious. We're going this weekend and we've packed nothing. I'm out today so it's all going to be done tomorrow.
I like to clean before we go too so that's all going to be done tomorrow.

Supposed to be going to our caravan in Dorset. Next week the weather looks shit. So pissed off.
