I don't know SAF, they seemed a little too ready to chuck antibiotics at you for my scientist brain (bacteria developing resistance etc). Good in the short term though.

By the way, I started a thread and it worked. Very pleased with myself.

Ahh, i like the Ann Rice and James Herbert books for that. But my imagination can get me into alot of trouble and needs little encouraging

Alice are you able to do any of your crafting stuff whilst resting?

Not really. I kind of need to have my feet up. If i am sat like on a hard chair it is very uncomfortable. I should take up knitting or crochet or something really.

Agreed sewing machines are bulky. Got some small basic counted cross stitch kits I will never do. if you are interested can get them to you.

I like the idea of cross stitch but have a feeling DD might like to help

Could you teach her how to use a knitting dolly? I learnt at her age and its fairly easy. Only difficult bit is to cast on. But I used to be able to do it as a kid so not too difficult.

Oh and pom poms where you have to wind wool through card rings are fun, quiet and take ages of still.

Ooh, pompoms! That could be fun actually. Have some felt so might make some felt flowers

I used to make hundreds and hundreds of pompoms as a child, DEM! Also some kind of flower with a wodge of 2-ply tissues tied in the middle and then fanned out.
