Hello . Shiney, it was the fabulous Lizzy who sent me the beautiful flowers. She came clean yesterday on the thread but with all the posts her admission and my thanks may have got a little lost!!

Lizzy, my Mum commented on how lovely they were by the way.

Mum has gone for a bath and has also asked my dad to go upstairs to help her

I am worn out. But have had a fantastic day - my brother, sil and nephew came for lunch (they left about an hour ago), my niece was missed greatly - but apparently had other plans . My parents are here until tomorrow morning, so I may have to catch up with you when I am in bed.

Oh no more pox - poor Lizzy . Hope your DC's feel better soon Mitts and Lizzy.

Trills, you must be getting a teensy bit excited about Tuesday? What time do you fly?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/05/2010 19:22

How was the pork Bella?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/05/2010 19:24

Evening - Shiney, did you enjoy our lovely Shire?
Have you been at the cheese?

Sorry about the Pox on your houses.

DH is putting DC to bed then I'm off to do 24 catch up.

Bella, that sounds like a lovely day

NormaSknockers · 16/05/2010 19:26

Evening all Did I miss much?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/05/2010 19:28

Ola Shiney.

Norma, how did you get on. you are still alove I take it?

NormaSknockers · 16/05/2010 19:31

I'm still alove yes, still alive too

I made to the finish & completed it in 50 minutes, I know that sounds slow but I was really chuffed with it as I had a good steady jogging pace going

bellavita · 16/05/2010 19:36

Bitter - it has been lovely.

Fanny - the pork went down very very well. There are just two pieces left which I have told Mum and Dad to take home tomorrow with a tiny bit of veg that was left so they can have it for their tea. The butcher gave me a whole belly which weighed 8lbs. It was so mouthwateringly tender.

bellavita · 16/05/2010 19:37

Yay Norma for you doing the Race for Life!!

NormaSknockers · 16/05/2010 19:39

Ooo Bella pork belly is utterly delicious, sounds like you had a lovely dinner!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 16/05/2010 19:41

Hello shiney .

I have rescued a ball from the top of a hawthorn tree and am now scratched and very badly stung. Kids!!

Hey Bella. sounds like a good weekend.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 16/05/2010 19:43

Well done Norma... really really well done. You should be very proud of yourself. xx

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/05/2010 19:43

Yay Norma - Very impressive! Do you ache?

Mmm, Pork sounds delicious, how did you cook it Bella?

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/05/2010 19:45

Well done norma!

Lovely to see you shiney!

Lots has happened this weeked. youv'e missed loads. Catch you in a hour when you have caught up

I have just shoved seriously overtired boy into bed and he is almost already alseep. It has been a long busy weekend. NOT looking forward to tomo night...

The training clothes/doc thing might be irrelevant as have promised will not use babysitter for anything other then doc appt if ds melts down. so I could be a very bunny if that is the case. On a light hearted note, my little hockey boy has his first ice burn I suspect it will be the first of many.

There is discussion as to whether or not I am boy free next weekend. Especially as i have screwed up my holiday booking, so now wont get one. Whoops.

VinegarTits · 16/05/2010 19:45

the pork is making me hungry

glas you had a lovely weekend Bella and glad you found out who the flower girl was (very lovely of you lizzy)

YanknCock · 16/05/2010 19:45

Will have to catch up a bit later, need to get DS to bed then try to get kitchen clean, groceries ordered and laundry done.

Still can't hear a damn thing out of right ear and these drops are only making it worse. out of hours GP nurse says I need to call regular GP and make appt to get it syringed. Don't have time for this shit.

DS is all snotty and feverish. I cannot keep staying home with him, what the fuck is the point of working if I can never be there? Only a few weeks in to this and it just really isn't working.

I don't know what to do, we need the money quite badly, but at this rate I won't have a job if I need to keep staying home! I only get 10 paid carer leave days a year and have used 3 already in just 3 weeks.

NormaSknockers · 16/05/2010 19:45

I ache from head to toe & honestly don't think I will be able to move tomorrow but it was absolutely worth it & I'll do it again next year

TotalChaos · 16/05/2010 19:46

go vinny. I did play a game or three of darts at uni but was pretty shit at it really.

saf - focus on cutting out saturated fats, polyunsatured fats like olive oil and omega 3s in fish are happy smiley oils.

well done on the run norma!

been to a boring bus rally with DH. DS and my mum quite enjoyed the old buses, evidently the trainspotter geek gene has only missed me

NormaSknockers · 16/05/2010 19:47

Oh Yank what an utter PITA

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/05/2010 19:47

Ouch mitts. are you ok?

Tell dd, the promise stands though will bring ds so more flexible to arrange. Probably after half term though, but depends on when your half term is. We have 1st two weeks in June and not the last week may, 1st week June as I had booked. me think i need to sort my calander out.

VinegarTits · 16/05/2010 19:47

well done on your charity walk/run thingy Norma, i saw your pics, nice tutu

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/05/2010 19:50

Yank, sorry you are having such a rough time. Hope it sorts, truely do.

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 16/05/2010 19:50

LOL Total DH & DS both have the trainspotter gene, DH managed to hide it from me for the first few weeks of our relationship til his Dad told me I have spent many a cold day sitting on a platform waiting for high speed/diesel trains...good job I love him Invest a good book for next time!

TotalChaos · 16/05/2010 19:51

yank - sorry that return to work has been screwed up cars and ailing child. would you consider taking any of the days off to look after him as annual leave - I know it's not the right thing to do from your POV, but if you feel that they are getting hacked off it might help mollify your boss(es)
