Lizzy that is lovely, and bella, couldn't have happened to a nicer person!

Alice, I gave DS ibuprofen and it seems to have helped more than the calpol. He is sitting up playing with DH now, having spent most of the morning/early afternoon all lethargic and feverish on my lap. Bloody nurseries, just disease incubators, aren't they.

Still in my pajamas and have had a bacon sandwich for breakfast and a ham/cheese sandwich and crisps for lunch. Not the best day foodwise!

Alicetheinvisible · 15/05/2010 15:21

Can someone reassure me that i am not a bad mother, just a slightly frazzled one?

DH isn't due back til tonight, yesterday was fine with DD, we got on well, today is a different matter. Yes we are having a lazy day (have been getting a lot of BH lately so trying to slow down a bit) but i have tried to get her in the garden (all of 20mins) we have had a picnic brunch and we have sang songs and baked cakes. All i have is her "Want it" "Want that" "Want Numberjacks on" so i put it on "Want Timmytime on" etc, she is tired and teething i think. Have shut her in her room after shouting at her. Feel very bad

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 15/05/2010 15:24

Saf, we will arrange something.

Yank, glad mini yank is starting to turn a corner, doesn't worrying burn loads of calories?

So I'm guessing the cheese and bacon will already have been burned off before they were even consumed

Enjoy your walk saf.

I have done 4 loads of laundry this morning, I swear the stuff is breeding!

Spaghetti and meatballs for tea, not super healthy but I am at work later so need something healthy. I'll just have a couple of meatballs, the sauce is mainly tinned toms anyway so that's pretty low fat.

I'm starting to bore myself now, I'm off to get DD up.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 15/05/2010 15:25

And Alice, you are coping better than I would be, of course you are not a bad mother!

Alice you are doing fab, I had toddler DS1 when pg with DS2 and he lived on Cbeebies. I can remember crying down to phone to quite a number of people when I was pg and fed up and just wanted to sleeeep, not amuse an energetic toddler all day.

SAF, well done, you did it and thats the main thing. The more you exercise the easier it is. Is the theory anyway! Haven't reached that level yet.

Oh, my trousers that were too tight the other week are nice and loose today, so something is working, though no change on the scales for lst 2 weeks

Well done on your run, saf.

Lizzy - you must be super fit with all the exercise you do - No wonder your trousers are loose

DD is being so sweet. She has just learnt how to do kisses, so she keeps running up to me to give me a kiss then running off giggling!

Oh, and the ignoring DS's eating the contents of the fridge seems to be working. This morning when I came down he had had a bowl of cocopops and made himself some toast and marmite ( I know, but he is pretty competent with the toaster and does understand the dangers)

When I was sorting DD out upstairs he came and asked if he could have some fruit

So he also had an apple, a banana and two oranges but at least he asked.

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/05/2010 17:00

Cant remember who said i seemed happy last night but not so sure happy is the word i would use. I was in a weird mood. I seriously need to get life sorted. Should be getting a lot of stuff done this afternoon and cant be bothered. Need to get some sleep and rest. My old muscles dont work and recover in the same way. PLus I got cold today. I took Johan sakting and thus didnt work as hard as normal and went out after without getting changed.I have stiffened up. Doesnt help as there has been a draft man made i hasten to ask but it has had the affect that i have seized up.

Not skating tonight - babysitter issues, but probably a good thing. 1 recovery and 2 need to tidy the houes. it is going to be a housework evening ah well. Will be good when it is tidy. Tomo is an interesting day, party in afternoon for ds. plus getting ready for hell week. hopefully today has given him something to think about. but we'll see what happens.

I am again in a weird mood. I want to skate more. I have sunk back into old habbits. it is not a good thing. So will have to start using it a a reward. plus going to have to start off ice training again. just so that i can get more progress with less on ice time.

Can anyone lend me energy and a will to move so that i can get moving. else iam going to get really stiff...

Lizzy what a fantastic gift.

Alice you are not a bad mother just pregnant.

Well DD and I wnet for a 2 hour ramble through the woods and ended up in the play area of the Castle which was closed so had that all to ourselves with nephews, step nephew and brother GF. Great morning. Helped put a harness on a prolapsed ewe and then went and had a late lunch.

TrillianAstra · 15/05/2010 17:19

We've just tested out DP's satnav app by going ot tesco, then to the farm whop where I spent nearly a fiver on olives to eat while watching doctor who. That's clearly why they let you pick them out yourself - it's like pick n mix.

Your ramble sounds lovely Fanny.

I love Olives.

Your day sounds lovely Fanny.

DEM - get moving!

Using skating as a reward sounds a good idea, sorry you are in a weird place right now.

I have to go to work, so have a good evening lovelies, you will probably all be in bed by the time I check in.

Fanny, have said it before, I'll say it again.
I want you to adopt me, rambles through woods to castles, farm animals (not sure I'd be much use with a prolapsed Ewe), your amazing meals you prepare...can I come and live with you?

Bitter, yay for your DS behaving foodwise

at posh olives, Trills.

SAF, sounds a fab present for your Mom.

Right, off to tidy up then picking up friend and going to drink wine and make an ass of myself on Singstar, eek!

Thanks for being patient with me whilst I ranted about work

Lizzylou · 15/05/2010 17:48

DEM, hope you get some ooomph back, I am only perked up at the promise of wine this evening.

lovely lizzy! And Bella what a fabulous surprise (with the added benefit of jolting Mr Bella into some fridge action!).

DEM - it me that totally misread your post yesterday evening. At the time I thought I sensed you were feeling different (and mentioning the rink smell made you feel calm). I'm sorry I got it wrong.

hellsbelles · 15/05/2010 18:17

SAF - sounds normal enough to me. i can remember DS still having accidents quite some time after being potty trained. Usually when he'd been busy with something and forgot to go.
