Yank - i find calprofen works for much longer. When DD was 11months she had a nasty virus and her temp shot up so high so quickly she went purple. Out of hours doc just said alternate every 3-4hrs with calpol and calprofen. Another good way to get her temp down was to put her in a bath that was about body temp, then get her out, but not dry her (hair as well) and it really brought the temp down. HTH Oh, and my dress was off the rack in Debenhams too

Mitts - poor DD Perhaps NHS direct? Or can you speak to a Dr on the phone first? But even with cp don't hesitate to take her A&E (i know you know this but it can be very difficult to make a decision when it is your own child)

Lizzylou · 15/05/2010 11:17

Bitter, what a lovely thing to do

Mitts, could be worth a GP visit/call to NHS Direct?

Suddenly got all busy here, sorry for ranting earlier

Alicetheinvisible · 15/05/2010 11:17

STOP TALKING YOU LOT...

OMG SOMEONE HAS BEEN VERY VERY NORTY

I have just had some beautiful flowers delivered - I am teary

...but no name has been given. C'mon own up otherwise I will have to snog all of you to get a confession!!

DH said to me before I looked at the card - "well don't look at me.." he must be feeling guilty now because I was moaning earlier that when we have guests I don't have enough room in the fridge for beer and extra food, so after lunch he is going out to get me an "entertaining" fridge which will go in the garage!

YanknCock · 15/05/2010 11:34

Kerry, perhaps, depends on DS, he's really not well and it is a bit of a mood-killer.

Alice, was just looking at your wedding pics, you look gorgeous!

bella, you wholeheaetedly deserve both flowers and a fridge, and lots more!

Lizzylou · 15/05/2010 11:36

OOh, an entertaining fridge, get you Bella

toccatanfudge · 15/05/2010 11:36

YanknCock · 15/05/2010 11:36

bellavita · 15/05/2010 11:58

Can someone please own up....

Sorry about your crappy morning Lizzy and for you too Yank - with not being able to go to the wedding.

TrillianAstra · 15/05/2010 12:05

I stare at my fridge too.

Went round to DP's ex-housemate's last night, nice chilled 'not really dinner party' with her and her boyfriend.

OK, trying to read through and comment as I go. Probably won't cover everyone, so please don't feel ignored.

Alice you are not plain. But on the question in general I'll do a link to my favourite 'look at the difference makeup makes' video.

Yay for Gigi, I'm sure you'll be a lovely stepmum I imagine you to be the sort of person who suffocates people with hugs - not in a bad way but a 'this is lovely but I need to breathe' kind of way

Jet I haven't loooked at all the hairstyles, but agree that you should go for one that works with your face shape and hair type rather than one that just looks nice in a picture. You'll need to (scary I know) talk to the hairdresser.

Total I think the S&B shoe-lovers like 'Fly of London' - I've never shoe-shopped on Amazon before.

I really liked District 9 too DeFluff - at the beginning (in the documentary bit) I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be the 80s or if SA is just like that.

Vinny if I had men like my tea it would be strong, brown, and slightly flowery-smelling (Earl Grey). DP has nice perfume/aftershave, and we're going on holiday soon, so I guess it's not too far off.

Ooooh, champagne for Bella! We took some prosecco round last night - bubbles make everything mroe special - ut you're having real champagne!

Alice gets another paragraph - well done on weighing the same now as on your wedding day! I know everyone says 'eat what you like, you're pregnant', but once baby Freddie is out you'll definitely appreciate having eaten very slightly less than everything you wanted

Good luck for the job interview Fanny - are you going ot be the new presenter of 3 in a bed?

Btter that's really lovely of you letting your neighbour have your car when he needed it

Yank enjoy your chilled weekend - and do tell us if you have any other disgusting earwax plugs to pull out!

Sorry work is rubbish Lizzy, if I know anyone else who might be able to make use of your real business I'll send them over

Awww, that's lovely Bella, maybe someone thought it would make DH feel bad for ignoring you for his laptop too much.

bellavita · 15/05/2010 12:57

Trills - was it you?
