Ask Toccata about the salt think Yank, it was her that mentioned it to me.

You know, Toccata, or SWIOWC - She who is obsessed with cock

Oh, I meant to say earlier, DH likes to use the term 'Gentleman's Relish' with a Roly Birkin QC type accent.

TotalChaos · 14/05/2010 22:28

now if I can just find a pair to try on in town before I order them

am amused at some of the shoe names on amazon clearance - like Comfort Plus Women's Ena - do they mean like Ena Sharples

wastingaway · 14/05/2010 22:28

Evening. I have eaten some right crap today, but I did start out with porridge, honest.

Good news about your friend Hells.

Jet, you are hott. You've got the bestest hair colour, and I know you're sick of people telling you 'women spend a fortune to get hair that colour!' it drives DH mad.
Really subtle blond highlights can look really lovely.

TotalChaos · 14/05/2010 22:30

bloody hell these are vile!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/05/2010 22:30

They are Fab, and I love the green ones.

It's a shame I don't have a Birthday coming up.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/05/2010 22:32

I meant the original ones are fab!

Right, DH is home and I am being booted off the pc and on to the laptop.

I will be back soon.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/05/2010 22:44

Have you all gone again?

DeFluffy · 14/05/2010 22:46

ignoring everyone as dp still glaring at me but someone asked me films to recommend / not rec. Think was Bitter. Off top of head...

Saw REC tonight, subtitled good zombie flick, really enjoyed.

Watched Where the Wild Ones Are (i think) earlier on box office - I didn't really enjoy it, and was too old for dd1 who's 5 really. I've never read the book though so that might help.

She did however love the old version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and also The Dark Crystal!

Drag me to hell - i love, clever/funny gross out horror but with storyline

Black Sheep - hilarious zombie sheep film

Teeth - disturbing weird horror re teeth in a woman's - look it up. Strange film, quite funny

Whiteout - thriller with Kate Beckinsdale - crap.

Zombieland - very funny and clever, well recommended.

Hurt Locker - very good

Greenzone - thriller with Matt Damon, bit like Bourne but less flashy more military.
Very good.

District 9 - very good, alien film about apartheid, really enjoyed.

Am bit of a film freak. Mainly stupid horror and thrillers.

Oh Friday the 13th original - excellent, very 70s obviously, then week before watched the remake - shocking. Really bad.

Night all x

DeFluffy · 14/05/2010 22:49

god whats worse, my dull film talk or you lot and your ear wax. euwwwwwww.

Def off to bed now!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/05/2010 22:55

DF, I loved Zombieland.

Didn't love blacksheep, thought it would be another Shaun of the Dead, was disappointed.

Rec looks very good, love Spanish cinema, love zombie films, will have to get hold of that.

Also love the original Catcf and Dark Crystal - we may have similar taste in films.

wastingaway · 14/05/2010 23:05

Zombieland is ace.

I've just put ant powder down around the kitchen skirting boards, hopefully take a few of the buggers out before ILs come tomorrow for DS crappy birthday party.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/05/2010 23:12

Wasting, have you tried cinnamon or powdered cloves?

Cleared our porch in a couple of hours.

Night saf,

Let me know what you think of dexter, when you start it

toccatanfudge · 14/05/2010 23:36

I heard my name

yes someone here on MN advised warming some dry salt in the microwave, putting it in a sock, and lying with your ear on it when you go to sleep.

I was sceptical - but desperate so gave it a go and it actually worked!

YanknCock · 14/05/2010 23:41

toccata, is that for pain, or does it somehow draw out ear wax?

toccatanfudge · 14/05/2010 23:43

I had an ear infection (I think - never went to te drs though ) had been in pain all day and could hardly hear anything.

Woke up in the morning to find the pain greatly eased and lots of gunk.........so it seemed to draw out the infection - I'm guessing it make draw out the wax as well??

wastingaway · 14/05/2010 23:47

I haven't really tried anything else yet Bitter, I've been advised elsewhere to clean the cupboard out with bleach, but I don't have any bleach and want to zap the buggers with a little effort as possible at the moment. I'm sooo low on energy.

Which is why I'm still up watching a documentary on Tom Petty and flicking through craft photos on Flikr.

YanknCock · 14/05/2010 23:47

Right, will give it a go then! Can't hurt I spose.....

I'm off to bed. Sodding V+ box didn't record Lost so I am reduced to getting it through illegal means as I am NOT waiting for the repeat.

I really don't want to go to this wedding tomorrow. Must mentally prepare myself for it though.

toccatanfudge · 14/05/2010 23:51

that's what I thought as well when it was suggested to m - as you say can't hurt - may help (helped me with my ear infection anyhow).

Hope it does
