is it wrong to be looking forward to monday?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 05/05/2010 20:56

What's Monday DEM?

MyCatIsABastard · 05/05/2010 21:03

DH was just fixing the break light on the car as it has it's MOT tomorrow, he couldn't quite get his hand round so got in the boot (it's a VW Passat), fixed it, then couldn't get out again. I was inside mixing Pimms and MNing. He was stuck for about 10 mins but managed to wriggle himself out eventually. I was very unsympathetic (I laughed like a drain).

I'm still chuckling now. Bloody fool man!

bellavita · 05/05/2010 21:03

Of course it is a start jet

I am of your buffing Mycat and even more so of your PIMMS.

Right, I had better go and add the last bits to my online Tesco shop.

MyCatIsABastard · 05/05/2010 21:06

I'm now off to watch the lovely MOnty Halls in the Hebrides.

See you all later. x

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 05/05/2010 21:08

Shit, I meant to do an online shop this evening!

DidEinsteinsMum · 05/05/2010 21:14

monday is the 10th of may, a day to be looked forward to as it means the craziness is all over. however, it will be the evening of the 10th i am looking forward as am meeting course friends for farewell/post essay deadline drink.
Skater boys will sort me out, with their usual mixture of insults and leary. Aparently i blush when i talk about the skater boys An interesting observation by the ex this weekend. plus as much as i enjoy boy free weekends it is nice to get him back.

DidEinsteinsMum · 05/05/2010 21:15

by the way is the shiney one avoiding mn at the mo or is she just merged into jushi and never about?

Iggiepitomisesvacuity · 05/05/2010 21:17

Evening, here for the glitter [waits hopefully]

lotster · 05/05/2010 21:20

Just popping in to say hello after a ridiculously busy week or so since I last posted, which has mostly been spent chasing up the house move, also doing diy and a trip to south Devon at t'weekend. Finding it harder than I realised to keep up with you girls! Hope all is well in Shiney camp after TTTMNBN.

Loving all those maxi dresses from earlier in the thread, can't wait to get mine out this year (and my maxi dresses, fnarr).. am craving instructionstorhedoubles onion bagels with bacon.. And feeling sorry for Shiney as having had my bag dipped recently for a far smaller amount it feels horrible doesn't it?

I did skim the DP's thread. Putrid. Feel so sorry for her family if they are mixed race as people are saying. I also don't know is she's as well informed as some say, given that she doesn't seem to realise how un-pro womens rights to opinions her party are.

Anyway... Off to have haddock with a bit of salad and fries

lotster · 05/05/2010 21:26

Oops that should have crossed out!
P.s. Am dying to try Lomi Lomi massage, what was it like Cat?

VinegarTits · 05/05/2010 21:33

I've cut my fringe, its wonky will i never learn

DidEinsteinsMum · 05/05/2010 21:34

Lobs a old school syc style glitter bomb at iggy.

Anyone heard how syc is doing by the way?

DidEinsteinsMum · 05/05/2010 21:35

is it rescuable vinny?

VinegarTits · 05/05/2010 21:37

yeah i have feathered it a bit, will just have to wear it scruffy toulouse until it grows a bit

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 05/05/2010 21:38

Who is syc?

Vinny you have been missed!

Are you a hugger or a non hugger?

I really should pay more attention to my spreadsheet.

your spread sheet is correct bitter, I am mostly none hugger. very rarely a hugger.
Syc is an old friend of the shineys who has been missing from mn and out in rl for a while.

fucking night terrors are back and heating has gone mad again cant wait til it gets fixed!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 05/05/2010 21:44

Syc was a poster when this ole shiney thing kicked off... she was very wise and lovely and her presence has been missed since she left as it was felt so much when she was here... she could do ass kicking in a way that made you glad to have been booted up the rear....

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/05/2010 21:56

I was thinking of Syc the other day and that her sage advice is missing from out thread. Bitter - she had done LighterLife which has a huge emphasis on counselling/understanding eating triggers and relearning a relationship with food so she was very wise

Mitts is right, she could kick you into healthy eating and make it seem that it was the ONLY option and every other way of eating just destructive and wrong. Crap with words myself, why i loved hers i guess

MyCat, sounds amazing

Vinny, i too am guilty of the fringe thing. Stoopid really as the hairdressers is at the gym i go to and i could just go in and get it trimmed straight, and for free any one of 3 times a week

DEM hope your heating is sorted soon. I have reverted to a hot water bottle as our bedroom has no heating BRRRRR

Oh, and i meant to say Bitter, well done you on rescuing the toddler. I am utterly amazed that you got no thanks though

Bella, did Pimms sneak onto your order?

DidEinsteinsMum · 05/05/2010 22:00

Crispy - we have opposite problem it jamms on. thermostate is bust. new one on side awaiting fitting.

lotster · 05/05/2010 22:05

Jesus wept, Jamie Oliver is about to "pimp" his minestrone, apparently.

Vinnie- have you thinned the bottom with some professional stylee vertical snipping?

Instructions- denim is in, especially 'double denim' (worn top and bottom a la my dad ) but personally I'd go for a fine knit cardie or cropped type with front bit you can tie/knot..

My boy had night terrors last night too, not used to that. Reminds me, he is sans pull up pants for the first time tonight, wondering if I should go and put him on the loo??
