Hi, I'm Bella

I am 5ft nothing and need to lose a few pounds to get back to my normal weight of around 8st 3lb.

OP posts:
DreamsInBinary · 04/05/2010 12:15

Mouseface - you could be me! Well, if you put on 1.5lb and used to have great norks but not so much any more...so not at all really

The day's food sounds good, although muesli contains a crazy number of calories for what it is. Using spray oil will help enormously for the fajitas. Will there be guacamole and sour cream as well? Will there? Will there?

DreamsInBinary · 04/05/2010 12:17

Welcome hcf

There have been a number of people here who have lost 50lb+. I think most of them set interim goals, but they'll be on later to give tips.

Oh Lizzy - you couldn't stay away could you

NormaSknockers · 04/05/2010 12:19

HCF if you have quite a way to go smaller goals are definately the way to go, I tend to break mine down into half stone or stone goals, I've shed 48lbs so far but broken it down into smaller ones at seemed so big & daunting otherwise

MitsubishiWarrioress · 04/05/2010 12:20

Norkiness = Boobs = Boobaloobas

Mouseface · 04/05/2010 12:20

Hey Dreams...

Nope, I don't like either! But I do have salsa.

I know re the muesli, looked at the pack just now, will try something else tomorrow! Any ideas? It used to be tea n toast, ah.... hot, buttered toast.

My norks are horrid, when I go to hydrotherapy, the instructor says "lift your knees to your chest" and I always think, no need, they already meet!!!!

Lizzylou · 04/05/2010 12:20

Hey Mouseface, agree with DIB, muesli is surprisingly calorific, personally I couldn't have fajitas without the dirty fatty accompaniments.

Bitter, am interested in the yoghurt topping for lasagne??? HOw do you do it?

Lizzylou · 04/05/2010 12:21

DIB, no!
Bet she really votes Tory

Mouseface · 04/05/2010 12:26

Screaming - I go to hydrotherapy once a week, it's very, very gentle. I can't even manage doggy paddle with floats, too painful. I'm quite pathetic.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 04/05/2010 12:27

Right, am back on, but not sure how long for.

Mouse, norkiness = boobage.

Lizzy, I make up a white sauce with a schmear of butter in the roux, then use natural yoghurt and a sprinkling of parmesan on the top layer.

Works really well with salmon and spinach lasagne, when I add lemon zest to the white sauce.

DD is awake, I had better go shopping.

", so, do I go onto to DP's BNP for Britain thread and lose 3 hours of my life, or do I cut my toenails??? "

Oh you are making me laugh today

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/05/2010 12:42

SAF. Hopefully someone will move away and leave a place open or something.

Hello! I have been bad and bought a bag of chips on the way home from picking DS up from nursery. Wont have any dinner tonight. Was worth it though!

Well done everyone on the weight loss. I feel like im getting nowhere fast. Im currently 9stone6lb which doesnt sound an awful lot but im only tiny so it doesnt look so good.

ferret - don't starve yourself! Have a bowl of cereal or something for dinner instead. Nothing worse than trying to sleep while starving.

I am not trying to lose weight, i am just trying to eat sensibly, so for any newbies on here, don't when you see wat i am eating i am 26weeks pg so a bit of leeway is given

Musli does have a lot of calories in, but it is still healthier than a bowl of coco pops from a nutrition pov

I have made a batch of tomato pasta sauce to freeze. Does anyone know if i can put plain yoghurt in it to make it more creamy and still freeze it?

VinegarTits · 04/05/2010 12:54

sorry mouse i didnt mean that to sound unsupportive

just wondering if i am actally fatter than i think i am

Mouseface · 04/05/2010 13:01

Not at all Vinny, I do feel a bit of a fraud though as I'm not facing as big (no pun intended and in the nicest possible way) a challenge as some.

But then again........just keep me away from the cheese Gromit!

Lizzylou · 04/05/2010 13:06

I think I may have time for a pedicure after all, that thread is just boring now.

Ferret, just have some salad or something?

Mouse, have you looked at Foodfocus, as you cannot exercise and stuff it may help you adjust calorie intake and keep up with what and how much you have eaten?

Just had a baby spinach and extra light laughing cow pitta bread for lunch. Ate way too much this weekend, so must atone this week.

Mouseface · 04/05/2010 13:11

Good idea Lizzy, only started today so still finding my feet on FoodFocus, setting my goals etc up.

Breakfast ideas:

Fresh pineapple and Total 0% yoghurt (my fave)

Wholemeal toast and marmite (no butter!)

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs

Bagel and low-fat cream cheese

Weetabix and fruit (and milk, obv)

Porridge (made with water or skimmed milk)

Ummm...

DreamsInBinary · 04/05/2010 13:22

Sorry - that was for Mousey who asked earlier

Supermarket-brand shredded wheat also good.
