For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

lol - sorry about throwing up pig biscuit. I just scanned over some threads looking for cake and biscuits.

I am enjoying being slimmer very much. It is one less thing on my mind and it makes me feel quite slinky.

However, not one bugger in my family commented on my might one stone loss yesterday.

CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 16:22

i think they are mean pointy
you look tons thinner
your typing is just completely svelte now

i think i should be able to eat cake
i ran 3 miles DID ANYONE MISS THAT? i ran 3 miles so i can eat cake
if i can't eat cake i am not playing

OP posts:
pointydog · 13/06/2010 16:40

Yes, I have slinky slim typing now.

And of course you can eat cake! You are free to ignore any and all suggestions.

I have had two bits of birthday cake today but I skipped lunch to make up for it. There's another option but I don't think you'll like it one bit

CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 16:43

you missed LUNCH
i don't like any of the options

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 13/06/2010 17:13

sorry for offloading, hard not to mention when it is so acute atm and it is affecting my food because when I am stressed I shurely deserve cake!

LOL at pig biscuit. Was it an actual pig then rather than franny pigging it?

I sometimes leave a meal if I have stuffed cake. I often have cake for lunch. Today I have ahd no lunch as breajfast was huge but for dinner I am having

asparagus and feta tart
red coleslaw
leaves
dolmades
broccoli

do you know dolmades are 3 WW POINTS!! I normally have 3 or so and that would be HALF our daily points. I am going to pretend I don't know this. Maybe it is the oil?

I have two buckets of elderflower champgane that is failing to ferment. I might have to help it along.

CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 18:34

how would you help it? do you wee in it or something?

i just ran another 3 miles
and there isn't even any cake

OP posts:
pointydog · 13/06/2010 18:44

so today:

o juice
boiled egg
slice toast, butter and marmalade (lordy, it was delicious)
2 bits birthday cake
pear
ham
2 mini burgers (plain, no bread)
4 new taters in lemon and mustard
quite a lot of houmus
tomaters, cucumber, red pepper
strawberries
trifle

  1. Back to Hard Times tomorrow
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/06/2010 18:51

maybe yeast rather than wee might do the trick?

So sorry to hear about your db Guad. It must be tough for everyone. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Soft play was as success yesterday. DS was off in a shot and running around like a loon. It was even better that the last hour we were there, our party were the only ones there.

We went to Wicken Fen today and I have to say I have quite spectacularly fallen out of THE ZONE. I am trying to console myself with the fact that we walked quite a few miles, but still ......

weetabix flakes
carrot sticks
jp with tuna mayo and cheese
strawberries (no cream)
mushroom, avocado and mozarella salad with rocket and baby spinach leaves.
olives
two scoops of ice-cream

However, tomorrow is another day and I hope to get back on the wagon.

Fra - how about still eating cake, but maybe set yourself a weekly limit? That way you can still treat yourself, but not as much as before?

CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 19:07

that looks zoney to me lemur
a limit on cake does not sound good
perhaps i will stay this size
i have lost nearly a stone altogether

yes i mean hang on
i've been eating all these pig biscuits and things but i HAVE lost weight haven't i
quite a lot
i think i shall persevere and see where i am next week

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/06/2010 19:08

Oh, and whilst walking through Wicken Fen, dh mentioned my arse looked smaller - result.

And ds heard a cuckoo and started mimicking it - it was so cute. He heard one whilst out with dh a few weeks ago and he had remembered.

Wicken Fen was a bit dull imo, it's really just a nature trail/walk, but we saw some lovely wild plants and there were loads of bee's on the comfrey and dragonflies swooping above the ditches.

pointydog · 13/06/2010 19:08

that looks like a very good sunday list, moveit

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/06/2010 19:13

I know it's not the worst food ever, but I think because I had so much quantity I know that all of tomorrow I'm going to be hungry and stalking around the kitchen wanting to eat the entire contents of the cupboard

If you don't want to limit cake, then don't. To be fair you do far more exercise than I do and you're still bf ds, so you do need sustenance. And like you said, you are losing weight. I hate the stage when your weight plateau's, it's not very good for moral.

Also, isn't it true that you don't lose as much weight when you exercise? The fat you had turns into muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat, so the scales don't show a great difference.

CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 20:24

well i like lemur's last post MUCH better than all that nonsense about missing lunch
i feel a bit more cheerful now and i will tell you what i have eaten

cereal fruit seeds = 4
a crumpet dripping with butter
hummus wrap with lots of roasted veg = 2
a banana = 1
sag aloo, veg curry, bhaji thing, poppadums, mango chutney, naan bread (not huge portions honest)
a mini magnum which i would like to say is only 117 calories, i looked
bit of chocolate (pointy i think if i could ditch the chocolate it would make more difference than the cake)

= 7

and a 3 mile run.

well good luck everyone for WEIGH IN DAY tomorrow, and don't forget to tell me how much you have lost in total, as it is starting to look rather impressive when listed all together
you are all lovely veggers and your bottoms look TINY, i can hardly see them

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 20:28

hold on veg curry was at least one portion - i won't try to count the mango chutney

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 13/06/2010 20:35

LOL at franny sitting glumly in the corner with contraband cake, lemur has released it's shackles with all the right words.

I have had four of them. Plus dinner. Gasp.

We have just watched alice in wonderland. I didn't think much of it in the cinema but I enjoyed itis time. Maybe it was better in 2D.

Guadalupe · 13/06/2010 20:36

ITS

pointydog · 13/06/2010 21:25

fran, you get so grumpy about eating habits, you know. I forgot about all your exercise. All your exercise is good.

Option 46 that Fran Won't Like: slob about very slowly and stop all that muscle-building exercise.

And lol at the mini magnum. There's just something about a mini magnum that makes me laugh.

I don't like th alice in wonderland story at all so I don't think I will evre like any versions of it

CoupleofKooks · 13/06/2010 22:19

yes i do get grumpy
i like eating
i feel aggrieved when people suggest i do it less

the mini magnum is a sainsburys one
it is very very mini
don't you think the large ones are quite, well, large?

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 14/06/2010 08:53

They are huge, I have trouble finishing a big one though once in a past life I ate two.

I guess it's the name that is funny with those, maybe they should call them a Minam.

I like mini twisters and mini milks.

I am the same, ie none lost, which is amazing given how much flap jack I ate last night and I have celebrated by eating three more squares with my tea this morning. This is why I try not to make flapjack, this recipe is so chewy and buttery and if kept in the fridge it has the most delicious fudgelike texture that I cannot stop myself from eating the lot, and I know a whole tin of golden syrup and a whole pat of butter went into these.

I will walk super fast this morning and buy a bag of frugal apples.

CoupleofKooks · 14/06/2010 09:06

oooh flapjack is so good if it is nicely made
the kind you get in the shops is always minging, isn't it?

well i jumped on and off scales about 10 times and i MAY have lost half a pound but not really sure, so i will say zero

i know it's not a huge surprise with all the cake eating etc, but i have run 8.75 miles this week so i still feel slightly pissed off
i didn't eat that much cake

anyway

guad zero, total ?
franny zero, total 8
