For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

i just ran 2.75 miles
it was hard
i bought a new top to run in hot weather - cotton t-shirt was awful and sweaty
this was proper sports top bamboo fibre thingy
it is tight, and the sun was out, and when i ran i could see the shadow of my love handles wobbling as i ran
50% motivating 50% demoralising!

Oh well done pointy!!

It should give me resolve being ousted to second place but I still seem to be carving big hunks of somerset gould cheddar washed down with a glass of chilled three choirs while stirring an asparagus risotto.

And I have a curly wurly for pudding.

And I absent mindedly ate all the buttery mushrooms while on the phone to a friend today and I was supposed to be making mushroom soup. ALL OF THEM. So of course there was no soup but of course I was not hungry.

Franny - Poor ds. Why could she not do his filling properly before? Did he not have an injection? One of mine had inhection for a filling but I think they did dd's last time without one, he gave a reason why and I can't remember it. It didn't seem to hurt her though.

ThePinkOne · 08/06/2010 20:12

Well done pointy on good weight losing. Well done Franny on being brave at the dentist. Well done Guad for eating lots of mushrooms and asparagus in your risotto. Good vegging.

I must go and clean the kitchen and then iron. I think I need another week off the pute.

Guadalupe · 08/06/2010 20:15

It wasn't good vegging, it was good biffing.

I don't think mushrooms count if they are soaked in butter do they?

God I am full.

I think I will have to wait at least 20 mins before my curly wurly.

CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 20:19

guad you should not talk on the phone, you always do your bad eating when on the phone
a pan full of buttery mushrooms does sound amazing though

guad she was not able to numb it properly despite 3 big syringes full of novocaine or whatever awful stuff they use
she said sometimes when the tooth is a bit fucked they can't numb it completely (well she put it slightly more professionally than that)
so they had opened it up and exposed the nerve and then had to do this bodgy filling very quickly with ds crying
she said i should look out for infection - i guess what she did made it more likely? anyway i had forgotten about it, it was weeks ago!

ds was a ruddy star anyway
sorry i have off loaded a lot about it! a big apology to anyone squeamish of dentist issues

CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 20:20

i fancy a curly wurly
is it cold? i like them cold

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 08/06/2010 20:37

oh dear poor thing

I was sent home buzzing with local and no extraction after several attemps to numb my wisdoms failed and each pull felt they were turning me inside out. I had to go bad and he stabbed me in the nerve and that worked.

Why yes, my friend, the curly wurlys are COLD. I have never met anyone else yet who like cold chocolate.

They are fantastic diet chocs too. hardly any ww points. I do have a pack of five though as they were on offer.

Guadalupe · 08/06/2010 20:38

oh no wisdom anecdote is not helpful is it!

Sorry.

I blame the cheese.

CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 20:40

LOL no it's ok
you were very brave guad, i will probably have it done sometime but i don't know if i would be that brave

when we were kids we used to put club bars in the freezer and eat them like that
the raisin ones, do you remember them?

OP posts:
ThePinkOne · 08/06/2010 20:49

Mmmmmm Curly Wurly. I love cold chocolate too. With milk.

I want chocolate. But I know if I open the giant bag of giant chocolate buttons I will eat them all. But I had a rotten afternoon and ironing without chocolate just isn't as appealing as ironing with chocolate. I might be able to do myself a little bowl and not eat the rest. It's when I get the bag out I just eat whatever's there!

CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 21:01

cereal mango banana orange raisins seeds = 4
cheese and pickle roll, veg sausages
carrot cake
wrap with hummus, toms, carrot, cuc, kidney beans, celery, peanut butter = 2
2 satsumas, cereal bar, chocolate = 1

7

2.75 mile run which i want an extra sticker for

CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 21:07

pink what is up
why was your afternoon rotten

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 08/06/2010 21:10

ys, raisin clubs! And orange ones, with a chicken paste sand wich and a black cherry yoghurt.

Those were the few months I had packed lunch, school meals were my usual lot, though I did actually quite like spam fritters.

Pink - eat the choc. I did. I ate two curly wurlys and now I feel sick. dh is watching doom and gloom volcano programme so I am going to bed with a crap book. Goodnight.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/06/2010 21:33

ALL of my chocolate goes in the fridge. It is the only way to eat chocolate imo.

Good losing Pointy.

Poor ds Fra. Well done for being brave. Both of you

I am in the frigging zone I tell you. I made a batch of peanut and chocolate cookies today (for a coffee morning tomorrow) and I have only eaten half a cookie. It is unheard of.

1 1/2 weetabix
bean soup, 2 crackers, cucumber sticks and cherry toms.
grapes
1/2 cookie
2 sausages, jp (tiny amount of butter), red cabbage with raisins and onion.
strawberries (no sugar or cream)
2 satsumas

Probably only 7 portions, but I'm not going to eat anymore as I don't feel hungry.

CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 22:06

lemur can you chuck a bit of your zone over this way please
you really should be weighing you know
you don't have to announce how much it is, and i bet you could catch pointy up given a few weeks

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 08/06/2010 22:08

guad the black cherry yogurt is making me shudder
i hate anything cherry flavoured (don't mind actual real cherries) and yogurt with bits in is also a pet hate
they catch at the back of your throat and make you gag and are just WRONG

OP posts:
pointydog · 08/06/2010 22:21

I like yoghurt with bits in.
And I like cold chocolate but not cold curly wurlies as I am not keen on cold toffee.

I went to dd2's Guides recycled fashion show and there was a baking stall. I succumbed and ate a krispie cake although it had the most miserly coating of chocolate I have ever seen.

Afternoon was rotten cause DD is driving me ccccccccrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzy. She talked non-stop yesterday (I mean more than usual!) and she's role-playing all the time. I mean proper immersion 'I'm not dd I'm dorothy the lavender fairy' asking questions questions questions in character. And when she's not in character she's asking how people make anything from cheese spread to cars. It's exhausting. And I'm getting cross!

I weighed out 50g of chocolate buttons and actually didn't finish them all! I put 15g back I did the ironing.

I really need more sleep. But I'm swimming tonight so will have to wait til tomorrow for an early night.

Right I have an extra child for the afternoon so I'd better go and pay them all some attention!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 09/06/2010 19:14

I can see what you are doing there Fra. But it won't work as I'm not competitive in the slightest

Although, saying that, it has crossed my mind to weigh as I'm so in the zone.

1 weetabix
cucumber sticks, cherry toms, 2 crackers with low fat cream cheese, watermelon.
Meatballs & spaghetti with a tom, onion and olive sauce.
strawberries

Need to eat something else as I am hungry today. Probably because I've been on the go a lot.

Hosted a coffee morning which was great. The weather was lovely so the kids played in the garden and the mums stood around gossiping and eating my cookies - of which I didn't have ANY.

This afternoon we went to see a friend with a 3wo. He still smelt like new and was all scrunched up. It made my ovaries twitch I can tell you.

Guadalupe · 09/06/2010 19:21

Sorry, but bleuurgh at ovaries twitching, that made my knees feel a little bit funny.

CoupleofKooks · 09/06/2010 21:16

i don't count one weetabix or a ginger biscuit as a meal personally
i will have to consult my clipboard about this

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 10/06/2010 08:59

I have PUT ON 2lbs since weekend. Lag obviously from biffing the butter.

I am afaid that today's breakfast is a spoon of choc spread. I will go to the juice man in town.
