Shiney - you may be thinner but it is a sure way of the weight going back on quicker >

TotalChaos · 20/04/2010 11:04

shiney - I do realise you must be desperately keen to get more weight off - but I'm concerned that anything that's not long-term sustainable will lead to quick initial loss (and you feeling rotten) and then it coming back on again anyway. I reckon upping the running would be a healthier way to get quicker results. And I think it's better to work from a position of feeling good about yourself - I know you've bought new clothes recently, but what about a hairdo or manicure or something that will make you feel good?

in theory it's still possible to low-carb as a veggie (had this conversation with my nurse friend who is atkinsing) but a diet of quorn and cheese somehow wouldn't compensate in the way steaks and bacons would!

foot in mouth syndrome striking me again - I wasn't suggesting you needed to try things to improve your appearance - more doing something that would improve how you feel about your appearance. (sticks foot back in mouth again). but physical exercise would probably do that as well, all those endorphins etc?

Shiney - without being crude, a week of just fruit will have you shitting through the eye of a needle. Which can make you quite poorly and dehydrated. Is it worth it?

Oh, and i am not being particularly healthy ad all my exercise is enforced (running around after DD and doing the horses everyday) Feeling fragile and hormonal today, not helped by DD sobbing in the shoe shop because she hates having her feet measured and then having to buy her a pair of not very nice shoes because her feet were a whole size bigger than her shoes

traceybath · 20/04/2010 11:20

Vinny - good luck - you sound very together and gorgeous.

Shiney - well all the hollywood a listers are doing the raw food diet according to grazia. You're like me though - you want results fast

Ta da - Bea slept all night last night - that is the first uninterrupted night I've had in nearly 9 months. Boobs nearly exploded but hey ho a small price to pay.

bellavita · 20/04/2010 11:23

Ouch on the boobie front tracey, but yay for the sleep!

You are allowed to be hormonal Alice. Hope the rest of the day isn't too stressful for you.

Well, I suppose I had better get on my way to work! Kids are back in today.

at shitting through the eye of a needle

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 11:31

I'm like an excited puppy chasing its own tail here, but more excited!! My period started last night which explains the utter angst of the past few days. I'm now in my manic mood for the next week or so so expect much tales of dodgy dates and dubious best friend shennaigans. Did I mention she slept with her own sister??

Is it only me that is a totally different person each week throughout their cycle? I'm sex kitten one week, manic and happy another, rage fueled angsty axe murderer another and kinda sad/cuddly the next. Being pregnant I was just norml oh well.

Anyway, I'm defluff and i have 3 stone to lose. Just opened cupboard and a mint aero leapt into my mouth so not doing too well.

And you buggers, stop ing at me

Vinny - so excited for you

DEM - How young are these boys? I'm am confused slightly, are they dateable age?

Shiney - won't that make you poo funny?

BOF - WTF is a sex towel??

Lizzylou · 20/04/2010 11:34

I know I said it wasn't a good plan Shiney, drastic diets, but am tempted to join you...
Just tried on my skinnies with a new longline fitted ish top for my weekend away and I don't just have a muffin top, I have a bloody victoria sponge on each hip!

Sooo, how can get rid of/disguise this is 5 days? I can't can I?
Long floaty top, leggings and glads it is then.

Boo

Tracey, glad you had a good nights sleep. Your boobs will calm down soon.

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 11:35

Five - i love you, i thought it ws only me that watched jk. That really shocked me when it wasn't his child. You saw his whole soul just crumble, not nice poor bloke at all
