Welcome to our, ooh, 64th Healthy Eating thread. We are a bunch of friends who are happy to welcome newbies prepared to join in with our resolve to strive to be healthier, quite possibly slimmer, but certainly filthier than the rest of mumsnet. If you can embrace our mascot with reverence, then you're in!

Away we go...

SAF i dont think he is messing me about, because we work so close (literally over the raod from each other) it will be convienent to have the first meet up while we are in work, otherwise we both go home and are in opposite directions, miles away from each other, so much more difficult to have a lunch date

I dont want to have a full on first date with him as i might not like him, at least in work i can come up with an excuse to make a quick exit if he is a minger (and ditto for him)

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 13:32

thanks for answering q re namechanging.

Vins/bof - am currently on a thread talking about being a hairy yeti, come and share your defluffing secrets ---->

DreamsInBinary · 20/04/2010 13:33

Good luck SAF. The standing up at the end is definitely the worst, I think.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 13:34

Afternoon

Vinny - that's such a shame but it must be ker-ayzy working in the travel industry atm. Good luck for later.

Lizzy, I have stopped shaking, which is good but did make a rather schoolboy error in attempting to walk down the stairs about half an hour after shredding - ouch!

Let's safely say level 2 is still a way off

Trills - what happened to DrTrills? I thought it gave you an air of kindly authority

Gutting. It's so exciting to get the all-clear that you don't expect to be there again.

My final treatment was under GA and I was so grateful. Is anyone going with you?

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 13:46

no worries SAF

he didnt apologise, i guess we just picked a bad day to meet up, it could have easily happened to me, if things had got busy in work, just one of those things innit

Coo-ee!

Hi I'm Goober. Have lost 24lbs since January and would like to lose some more.

My bloody smoke alarm keeps pipping! Is faulty not on fire. Is really pissing me off.

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 13:55

Weeellll, just to cheer everyone up or maybe make everyone go here goes...

My best friend is a total twat when it comes to men. Harsh but utterly true. Anyway she was dating loser boy, had been for about 3 years when one night they had a row in a club. She left and went home. He turned up hours later. Next morning she gets a phone call from an unknown girl to say 'I shagged your boyfriend last night, just thought you should know'. Nice

Cue massive confrontation, weeks of lies etc etc. He finally comes clean and admits that after their row he started talking to another woman in the club and ended up shagging her. Which is weird because he was ugly as fuck and had the personality of Extended.

My friend decided eventually to 'forgive' him, but because he was the last person she'd slept with on her 'list' (if you like) and she wasn't the last person on his 'list', that to make it 'fair' she needed to sleep with someone else too, then they could move on

So, they decided that it was too dangerous for her just to pick someone up at a club and also that he (the tosser boyfriend) had to be present throughout

So.... they asked a mutual male friend of all of ours if he would 'do the deed', he said no because he had a girlfriend. Anyway they offered him £100 and he said 'yes'!!!!!!!!!! So the deed was done, tosser boyfriend stayed in room while my friend/his girlfriend shagged our mutual friend, then they gave him the £100 and he left. Oh and my best friend and the tosser split up about a year later when he tried to kill her and ended up cutting off huge chunks of her hair with a pair of kitchen scissors.

Life never used to be dull

God I hope no-ones posted anything sad while Ive been typing all that or i'll look like a right twat .

Oh, And if you guess who i am on the other thread (wot with my distinctive posting style an' all) don't out me please for obvious reasons

Hope all goes OK, SAF

Bitter, have just done Level 2, I think I may collapse any moment. It is easier than Level 1 in some ways (on your knees) but loads of plank type exercises which I am shite at, very hard work. Level 3 seems a looong way off. You do find that Level 1 gets easier the more you do it. Do some extra stretches again this evening as well, I ached in my calves and under my arms something chronic the first time I did it.

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 14:03

Oh god, poor hammy, Shiney- you must be devastated

When's the funeral?

OP posts:
DeFluff · 20/04/2010 14:03

Err that's probably the least controversial thing she's done. Think I my keep rest under wraps, I know you guys are delicate

Shiney - very funny. What was the thread where they did a poem for the dead hamster and flushed it down the loo or something??

Lizzylou · 20/04/2010 14:04

Blimey, Defluff!
I don't really know how to respond to that

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 14:04

Defluff -

I have obviously lived a very sheltered life

Lizzy - agree with you wrt the knees - Level 1 seems really harsh on them.

I'll report back tomorrow if I am able to type with screaming muscles.

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 14:06

omg defluff

sounds like an episode of shameless

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 14:08

poor hamster
