Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:37

Ok Manchester lot- new thread, usual place. lets get a bit oragnised folks as it is getting silly!

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:38

Thats off the A1 isnt it? ITs one of those names i have seen 100 times on a sign post but never really registered.

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 20:41

Hells, an impressive round up considering the badgering dh!
Fanny, your dinner sounds lovely.

Wasting, so sorry you are not coming, I really thought you were.

I miss my men folk, even though I haven't had the stress of being a referee, can watch what I want on TV etc. I didn't go to my friend's as I feel a bit low and down, didn't want to go round and be a mope.

Have just eaten my lovely fishy salad, was v nice.

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:41

thank you DIB.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 20:45

What do you all think of this dress. have got a fundraising thing to go to which is black tie. I also have a lovely grey silk dress with embroidered flowers on.

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:48

its too girly for me, so cant pass a non biase judgement. but then again considering my fashion sense i would sit back and wait for the wise ones.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 20:50

DEM I own one dress and 2 skirts and that since January, so probably to girly for me but something strange has seemed to have happened since I turned 40 in that I want to get more girly.

Hells also very impressed with your round up.

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 20:50

Fanny, that's a lovely dress. Stunning with your colouring too I think.

DEM, I think so. I don't drive, so I'm a bit with roads.

Sorry you're feeling down Lizzy.

bellavita · 13/04/2010 20:51

Dress is nice Fanny but I like this one or this

DreamsInBinary · 13/04/2010 20:52

I like it very much, Fanny.

Trills & DEM - so pleased you mentioned/linked the xmas thread. I have just read through and have the warm fuzzy glow back

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 20:53

Bella they are lovely but don't want to show my bingo wings.

bellavita · 13/04/2010 20:54

Well then, that dress will do nicely . You will look gorgeous.

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 20:55

Five - the dress is very pretty but I think Monsoon are having a laugh charging £95 for 100% polyester. Its a bugbear of mine as you just end up so sweaty.

Would a maxi be feasible at all?

Sazz - pain about weekdays - unfortunately my youngest 2 dc's are not conducive to a pleasant shopping experience.

Lizzy - are you ok - DH always gets a bit maudlin if I go away with the dc's - looks forward to the peace and then misses us lots.

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 21:00

Thanks Sazz (already taken care of the wine ), it's just too much time on my own and feeling a bit like my efforts at work are going nowhere, I should be with my boys.

I love those two dresses, Bella. Tracey linked to an absolutely gorgeous red dress from Phase 8 today, will try and find it, am thinking of getting it for my brother's wedding in september.
It put me in mind of Mycat's dress for her birthday.

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 21:01

Maudlin, that is IT, Tracey, I relish my space and then can't stand my own company when I have it!
Thanks Bella as well x

You lot are sooo lovely, what the feck did I do before this thread?

traceybath · 13/04/2010 21:02

Bella - that black linen dress is gorgeous.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 21:03

Tracey that is lovely but not in my size , thanks for the tip about the material, think i will actually have to get out of the village and go shopping.

MyCatIsABastard · 13/04/2010 21:03

Evening ladies.

Does anyone else find that when they eat pasta they end up wanting to eat more and more and more of it? I have never had that full feeling your supposed to get with pasta, in fact, salad makes me feel more full.

bella - yes, I'm on holiday (well, come back on 12th June from South Devon) so can't come up to the meet up. I'm hoping you all get on so well that there will be another one later in teh year that I can come to.

Claudia - morning (off to bed soon so thought I'd get it in early). I love the fact that we chat to someone on the other side of the world.

I love monsoon clothes, those dresses are lovely. Sazz gave me a couple of lovely monsoon tops she had got too skinny for - I wore one of them today and the other one out last Friday, they are so pretty and she is very kind. When I have lost this final 2 stone I think I shall treat myself to a monsoon dress.

Pts for today stand at about 21 so 2 below. Hoping to have got under 13st by tomorrow morning!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 21:03

Right off to wathc Heston.

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 21:04

This is the dress Tracey linked to

It is just gorgeous.
