Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

Oh blimey, have I frightened Shiney off now

I had better just sit crossed legged then on a bench waiting for her!

Why not pick a cafe on top level where you can wathc over the main entrance. You can wait in comfort

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 19:09

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:09

Lizzylou · 13/04/2010 20:12

Blimey, DEM! How lucky was she not to be in the car?

Am watching Supersize v superskinny, that bloke was eating 11000 calories a day! Berlimey. I hate it when they put all the food in the tube though, bleurgh.

I miss channel 4.

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 20:16

Evening all!

Vinny, you're not a twat!

Fanny, glad you found your purse, but what a pain for it to spoil your lunch.

DEM, it wasn't me.

I wish I was coming to the meet. +
I'm actually incredibly gobby to the point of causing extreme boredom, so it's probably a good job I'm not going.

bellavita · 13/04/2010 20:20

Wasting - are you not able to come?

That was a lucky escape DEM.

I am watching Holby. Will watch SS on 4plus1.

blast - I had my head filled with all the catching up I've done and then DH came in and told me to please stop MN'ing and I got cross and now I've forgotten. Urghhhhh.

Sorry I've been crap. DD has been poorly (she sounds like a little gremlin and last night was up most of the time)...and work has been frantic.

I too am so excited about June but equally terrified at the same time. I get terribly nervous meeting people and either go silent or drink too much and talk shite (no different to my posts really).

Trills - when is your holiday? It feels like it must be soon.

Bella - saw your shopping post. Sorry it was a bit disappointing. I keep meaning to check out mint velvet as I've now seen a few links to their stuff and I always think how lovely they look. Your mum is a cheeky one though isn't she?!

DEM - hope wrist is full recovered now!

DIB - well done on the weight loss.

Shiney - hark at you skinny shrimp - but you really don't sound like you are eating enough (is it all those lovely butterflies filling up your tummy with lurve thoughts )

Mitts - you made the right decision...a little embarresment is something you can live with...you have such a strong instinct on this one.

I can't believe you are on the radio! How exciting

SAF - Green Park is very posh...near the Ritz I think.

Fanny did you meet with MRs W? Was it lovely

Bitter - sorry you had to deal with the funeral but so glad it went as well as possible. And big cheers for DD and her weight gain (the only cheers we've ever had for weight gain on here)

Cheers too for Alices non pregnant bum and face.

BOF - I bet you are going to be right...he just seems like one of those weak men that takes far too much 'prescription medication'...flippen heck

Lizzy - I promise to check out FB but DH will be very cross if I do it now.

So off I go. On series 5 of 24....and it's brilliant. I'm hoping DD only wakes up a few times tonight so I get some sleep.

(and if I didn't catch up with you it's all DH's fault for interrupting my fragile train of thought!)

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 20:24

Bella, with not having sorted DS bedtime and DH will be away that weekend, it didn't seem practical to dream. And of course it's a bit late to afford it even if he'd sleep at MILs.
If I get bedtime sorted and win the lottery, I'll gatecrash though.

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:25

Iplayer has crashed. intersting little error screen that comes up but definetly crashed.

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 20:26

Oh Helles, series 5 is fab! of you watching them fresh.

bellavita · 13/04/2010 20:27

Oh wasting

DreamsInBinary · 13/04/2010 20:29

Evening

I thought yesterday how lovely your hair looked on your fb profile, Mitts. I love Chris Evans, too, although his music choices are getting a bit OAP

LL - swoon

Shiney - glad you're in the zone, but please reassure us that the zone will only last for another couple of days or so?!

Fanny - glad you found your purse but so sorry about you lovely lunch plans. I was thinking of you and what you may have chosen whilst I ate pizza

VT - you are very, very untwatty

SS - I know who sent me the fab book but am still in the dark about the gorgeous smellies and choc. Er, do you want to know who might have sent yours, DEM?

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/04/2010 20:30

I suspect that there will be another. Alice, i believe didnt feel she would be up to it so there are a few who are missing out. will have to do another some other time. Its just a good excuse for there having to be another one. Where in the world are you based wasting?

bellavita · 13/04/2010 20:30

Hells, hope DD is better soon, poor you and poor her

DreamsInBinary · 13/04/2010 20:31

Wow, what Hells said

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 20:31

Hells - didn't make it, lost purse cancelled cards found purse underneath DS's cot and sadly now busy for therest of the week.

My mother is very kindly going to pick up DC's after school on 29th so me and DH will be going to one of them.

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 20:31

DS has started dropping his nap, so goes down by 7 now which is ace, and I'm ready in myself to stop feeding him right before I put him in the cot. Ive got the energy to do it now.

Might go for it this weekend actually, as DH will be home.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/04/2010 20:33

Oh and seriously nice supper, grilled chicken breasts, just sliced almost in half butterflied and grilled with couscous and courgettes.

wastingaway · 13/04/2010 20:35

DEM, I'm in Doncaster.
