Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

Well done DIB

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/04/2010 20:46

MyCat - this is 30 day shred. Apparently it is pretty hardcore (And I've given birth without even a puff of G&A so I am hardcore)

Lizzylou · 12/04/2010 20:49

Yay for DIB!

Bitter, glad that today has gone as well as it could do. Don't worry about calories and stuff now, it's a tough time
I did the 30 day shred again today and it wasn't nearly so hard.

DreamsInBinary · 12/04/2010 20:50

Good god Bitter, was that wise

DreamsInBinary · 12/04/2010 20:59

Have just bought the Shred DVD in an attempt to buy myself slim.

wastingaway · 12/04/2010 21:18

Evening all!

Well done on the weight losses!

Lovely jackets and shoes earlier. I watched Devil Wears Prada last night, and have such clothes atm.
I'm going to have a look in Monsoon for lovely dresses for the weddings in august and October I'm going to. Nice clothes make a good incentive.

Glad it went as well as it could Bitter.

30 day shred looks good. Lizzy, is she as shouty as she is on Biggest Loser?

I've had a go with DS in the backpack carrier today, walked up the garden and back, ooh, my abs! I've never done it before, DH has used it in the past, and I was a bit whether I'd manage it, going from 0 to a 2year old on my back, but if I build up distances I shouldn't have any problem.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/04/2010 21:28

DIB - Piece of cake! (told you I'm hardcore!)

It's quiet tonight!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/04/2010 21:28

And I'm back to !!!!

DreamsInBinary · 12/04/2010 21:41

Makes my eyes water!

It would have taken The Incredible Hulk to rip the G&A from my vice-like grip. I kept biting off the whole mouthpiece, and still refused to remove it for the MW to re-attach.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/04/2010 21:43

Well done DiB

trills what sort of flower were you looking for?

DreamsInBinary · 12/04/2010 21:44

Hey Fanny - tell Mrs W how much we miss her. Will you lunch at that fabulous (crab?) place you linked to a while back?

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 21:46

It's always quiet when i'm about. You watch, they'll all be out to play when i go to bed

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/04/2010 21:46

No sadly they are clsoed on Tuesdays and she couldn't do Wednesday. Going to try and get in here tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Lizzylou · 12/04/2010 21:47

DIB am so with you in G&A, it was perhaps the only thing that made having no. 3 a possibility. Bloody love the stuff.

Wasting, she is in a bit fierce, but v motivating, to be honest i need that, I think that's why I like spinning, someone just shouts at you to go faster for an hour!

DIB, you look like a betterlooking version of Samcam, sorry, have been bursting to say it for ages, that is a huge compliment btw

TrillianAstra · 12/04/2010 21:49

Just ordered a pretty wine rack and a spice rack to further the prettifying of our flat.

Have a lovely lunch Fanny.

The answer to 'what kind of flower' is 'a cheap one' - can't have this stuff eating into the wine budget!

Hey fanny! I was reading about your house earlier. I am very but I am sure I am looking through rose tinted specs. Sounds like a lot of hard work!

DIB - I was exactly the same when giving birth to DS, but with DD I was at home which made such a difference!

I was so relaxed and just got on with my day. I finally called the midwife at 9pm, she got here at 9.45, and by ten past ten (and just 2 pushes) DD was here!

I'm not one of those loons who says it didn't hurt - it bloody did!

But DS hurt so much (yes, I still remember!)That I kept thinking 'this is going to get so much worse. By the time I thought I needed gas and Air - I was ready to push!

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 12/04/2010 21:52

wasting i carry ds2 in his backpack when we do fell walks (small ones of course) it is a killer to do it but great exercise

DreamsInBinary · 12/04/2010 21:53

Lizzy now I know I love you

D'you reckon you can get G&A on the net? One cannister, many mouthpieces, deliverable to the Radisson...

Fanny - looks yum. I saw the chef on Great British Menu and he was ace.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/04/2010 21:55

trills - any of thesedo?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/04/2010 22:00

Trills - I feel your pain. We went and bought a massive cabinet thingy to replace the crappy table our telly was on.

On the plus side, all dvds and crap are behind closed doors, but it has two bookcase/shelve thingys that are glaring at me accusingly because they are still empty 6 weeks after we bought the bloody thing.

I want to put my books on it but DH thinks it will look 'scruffy'.

Obviously he doesn't realise that this would fit in perfectly with the rest of our house. Other themes being 'sticky' and 'grubby'.

Fleecy · 12/04/2010 22:04

The shred DVD looks terrifying - and I am a regular gym goer at the moment. Do let me know if you see good quick results and I might brave it. Will be on holiday in five months so need to work hard

DH has annoyed me - he's lost 3lb in 5 days. I put 3lb on despite being much better than him. Having said that, I can now get into a pair of jeans that were too small a couple of weeks ago so I obviously am getting more toned. But grrrrrrrrrrrr at how easily he can just drop excess weight whenever he needs to. And that he feels the need to rub it in my face so delightedly... I know, I'm not a very nice person!

Have you all enjoyed the sunshine today? Tis still quite cold here but nice to be able to go outside and see blue sky.

TrillianAstra · 12/04/2010 22:09

Fleecy men cheat when it comes to weight loss. They have more muscle and muscle just burns calories by sitting there.

Very pretty website Fanny, lots of lovely things. I bet your B&B is full of loveliness. Think I'll just have a look in actual shops as postage is as much as some of the flowers there

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/04/2010 22:10

Fleecy - slip some butter in his coffee when he's not looking

Lizzylou · 12/04/2010 22:15

DIB, wit DS1, I had 48 hours on the G&A, my lips were like MIck Jaggers by the end of it, I didn't let go of that mouthpiece throughout the wholetime.
DS2, 14 hours, but quality G&A and this time I remembered my lip balm so my lips were not affected.

G&A is the best invention ever.

Forget the wheel, bridges, fire fgs

Fleecy, my DH just goes swimming twice a week and he loses any excess weight, b*astard.
