Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

1002 replies

TrillianAstra · 10/04/2010 16:03

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

I need to get sorted and i think i know what is happening. Plus i am starting to enjoy ds again, which is the first time since he was 3. So over 2 years ago. it is a very nice feeling. Still drives me up the wall soemtimes though.

bellavita · 12/04/2010 10:31

Well done MyCat - yay!

SAF - better staying the same than putting on.

You seem calmer DEM. It's good to hear that you are happier than you were. And it is good you are enjoying DS again too. My DD was awful throughout the whole yr of 3, until she was around 4 and a couple of months. It made the household miserable, but it is such a relief when things change and they grow up and you can enjoy time again (she is 4 1/2 now and is mostly a lovely child).

MyCatIsABastard · 12/04/2010 10:40
  • it is a really nasty sticky cough shiney. Hangs about doesn't it! I don't smoke, never have, but I reckon this is what it must feel like for a heavy smoker first thing in the morning (nice). DS has it too.

I am also lounging on the sofa, contemplating the mess around me and considering making a coffee. I might even move enough to put the tv on.

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 10:42

Well done Mycat and Bella

Shiney - either there will nothing there or you won't have room to put any of your stuff as he will have tons of lotions and potions
Did i tell you i had a dream about you the other night? I dreamt i was going shopping for posh make up and you insisted on coming with me and showing me all these expensive things

I can't believe it is not 11am yet i was up earlier this morning, but still, feels like lunchtime

MyCatIsABastard · 12/04/2010 10:53

I did it, I put the TV on and the first thing I see is "Ken Dodd - Heroe of Comedy". Am I alone in thinking he is quite possibly the most unfunny man ever. I cannot bear him!

bellavita · 12/04/2010 10:58

I see I had better start saving for a hat Shiney...

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 11:01

Mycat - can't stand him! When we were at junior school and it was raining so couldn't go out to the playground, our Headmaster used to put Ken Dodd on the Tv in the hall for us to watch he was a big fan

Alice - that is surely some sort of horrible mind experiment he was doing! . My Nan thinks he is hilarious! He is a twat and always has been.

bella - I was thinking that too.

Shiney, I wasn't ignorning your "hello" this morning, have only just seen it.

MyCatIsABastard · 12/04/2010 11:13

Oh dear, was that one of those 'pressed the wrong bloody button' moments?

bellavita · 12/04/2010 11:15

I am sorting my wardrobe out. Have just got my summer clothes down and getting rid of stuff I know I won't wear this year, am also weeding out a few winter things that I know will not cut the mustard next year.

I need to go shopping tomorrow for some t/shirts.

bella - yes I am starting to ponder summer wardrobe, and whether I will have managed to shift enough weight to not have to wear some sort of undershorts to avoid chub rub! On a more positive note, I want to get some cheap sleeveless maxi dresses to brighten things up. There was a lovely £8 Asda one in a lot of mags a few weeks back that I've not been able to track down yet. Also need a summer coat - am thinking of a £25 colourful floral raincoat from New Look.

shiney -snort at fb status change - looks like you're phone/e=mail will be red hot today!

TotalChaos · 12/04/2010 11:33

this parka here:-

www.newlook.com/browse/productDetail.jsp?icCategory=cat20021&icProduct=187886509&icSort=-myBestSelle rScore

now I need to try it on first instore to make sure I don't look like a weeble...

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 11:35

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 11:36

have to credit greeny for the term chub rub on a thread from ?last summer

is it the style or the pattern that puts you off?

Lizzylou · 12/04/2010 11:38

So, what will your couple name be,Shiney?
Y'know like Branjelina or somesuch?

OOh, Bella, you could actually make off with Brad without confusing him, in rl

I am soooo bored.

Lizzylou · 12/04/2010 11:40

Total, I think that parka would look nice on other people but on me, nah.
If you like it then get it, I am hardly a stylista!

TrillianAstra · 12/04/2010 11:41

Hells is playing down her stylishness - you and tracey are the queens of seeing fashoinable things and actually working out how it can look nice, instead of sticking to 'safe' clothes.

Are the sleeves on that coat permanently rolled up or is it optional?
