Shiney Cult - how do you eat yours?

Sparingly we hope - with plenty of fresh fruit and veg

Spring is in the air and we are still here, on our 62nd (?) thread for healthy eating, chat, and of course the cult mascot (what better to put you off your food?).

The aim of the game is to post a lot, eat slightly better than before, and enjoy life.

I'm going to sort ds out. he needs a towel and pjs. Then finish packing the garden up. I think a hot drink and pjs are my next job after that. If there was any hot water left i would consider a hot bath for achy muscles but ds has used it all. At least he is now clean

Oh and of course DS1 couldn't wait to tell him that he (DH) had paid nearly £50 for his new hoody that he got on Friday.. and he told him in the same sentence how much his new school coat for September was gonna cost him.... See although DH pays the bills, I just send off the money to the credit card people and he has no idea how much stuff costs that I buy. (well he does now!!)

Its nearly bed time Shiney, you will be able to breath a sigh of relief once he is in bed, i have no advice for naughty children, apart from screaming like a banshee and locking in the bedroom till they be good

TrillianAstra · 11/04/2010 18:51

Fashion definitely dicates what you can buy (cos it's what's in the shops) and also what you consider nicer or less nice.

You must have done a lot of lawnmowing SAF.

I don't do skinny skinny jeans as such.. but straight legged jeans, but cos my legs are fat, then the jeans are tight!

Seriously, the best jeans I have ever ever bought are the ones that I am wearing now and I will buy another pair when I get paid - they are slim leg from French Connection.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 11/04/2010 18:54

my worst photos will be the ones of me with my big 80's curly hair before i discovered straighters

TrillianAstra · 11/04/2010 19:00

Vinny you are too young to have had big 80s hair.

34 here too, SAF. 1988 was not a good year for me - I discovered nhs specs, a 'shaggy' perm, Sun-In and those 'dash' sweaters with the abstract dancers on the front

FiveGoMadInDorset · 11/04/2010 19:29

Well done SaF

I just love clothes. I do like some of the current fashions but don't give a monkeys uncle if I am hip or trendy. I have some 'vintage' stuff and any occasion is an excuse to dress up for me..
woo hoo it's Monday.. must wear a dress... sort of thing .
Now that is definitely a throw back from my repressed, poverty bound past.
Don't care though. I am as happy scouring charity shop sales as I am splashing out on a key, classic designer piece

Sorry SaF... It's crap. I envy people who have lovely relationships with their families. Not too closely in each others pockets but always there for each other at the drop of a hat sort of thing.....

I had little sleep last night for various reasons and am shattered.

About to have a long soak in the bath..mmmmmmm

And then a nice glass of schloer whilst I work...God I know how to live...

MitsubishiWarrioress · 11/04/2010 19:37

Nanny McPhee rocks though SaF.....

... er.. hello

Hope your all well. Just popping on quickly. RL in the form of a major hangover on Saturday has kept me from you all for a couple of days and tonight me and DH are out too.

I'll try and have a quick catch up before mum comes to babysit.

I think I might have lost 3lb for my first charity weigh in. I will let you know tomorrow morning. I was thinking I should get Sazz to come and check me on the scales so you all know I'm not fibbing.

MyCatIsABastard · 11/04/2010 20:10

oh, mum's arrived so pub here I come.

I will catch you all tomorrow and I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and have a good evening tonight.
