tracey, yes, the inlaws were a bit better than last time. Following the barney at Christmas over racist comments, I was steeling myself for the meeting with BIL/SIL and they completely surprised us by recommending a movie they'd recently watched about apartheid!

Miracles do happen

It's still quite hard work being there though--FIL is going-deaf-but-won't-admit-it combined with doesn't-listen-properly-to-anything and has to have the farking TV blasting at all times with Judge Judy and real life cop shows. And the house is always too hot because he wears shorts/tshirts in all seasons and keeps the heating up high to compensate. 'Is the baby cold? Should we turn the heat on?' No, the baby is about to have heat stroke like the rest of us, FGS!

DS seems to have a cough and snotty nose. He's gone from being the 'never sick' kid to being ill for a few weeks running now. Really hope he is ok for this journey.

Our friend in Salt Lake City - one day last week it was 70 degrees and the next day... they had about 4 four foot of snow.
