Jolly good, he's a keeper then!

bellavita · 03/04/2010 09:36

He doesn't sound like he is easily scared... by anything!

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 09:36

Nah, just wait a few weeks months invite him to a "friends" wedding then when he gets tell him that actually you two are getting married - he won't be able to refuse

Lizzylou · 03/04/2010 09:37

Keep schtum re: weddings, if he washes the dishes and is filthy you may want to keep him a while longer, not scare him too much

I'll still browse potential outfits though - just in case...

Glad he's a good shag guy Shiney

YanknCock · 03/04/2010 09:46

shiney am incredibly pleased for you both!!

bella, unfortunately it is Wisconsin....so it could be lovely and springtime...or we could get snow dumped on us at any moment. I remember registering for uni at end of April and wading through slush in my open toed shoes (it was supposed to be nice out, dammit!)

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 09:46

Right better get my arse in gear - catch up later

bellavita · 03/04/2010 09:49

Not a good look Yank - open toed shoes and snow!

I too must say bye for now.

so glad I logged on . And glad you had a lovely game of scrabble Shiney and he who cannot be named

Engineer bloke rung and said we could turn the heating back on as it's unlikely to be that and he'll be over in an hour to sort out the AGA. He seemed pretty sure that carbon monoxide death (!) is unlikely with oil....but my googling dismisses his expertise. DH is making stew for lunch (in the electric oven alas).

And Bella I'm sure it must be AF. I always get a few pounds extra just before. I just got mine properly today and feel that it is a license to eat lots of chocolate

How come DS's got their eggs today?

hellsbelles · 03/04/2010 09:54

Shiney - will you mind if I wear the same outfit as I wear to Mum's wedding? Sames a shame not to get more wear out of it

YanknCock · 03/04/2010 09:56

MIL gave us eggs yesterday and I am ashamed to say MrCock and I devoured them in the car. In our defense, the journey took 7 hours and we were stuck in traffic and roadworks for ages.

hells, how scary! Poor DD, hope she can get some rest tonight.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/04/2010 10:03

Shiney how smashing.

Just cooking a mountain of veg to go with our roast chook and tatties. Will only have one potato, as have been stuffing myself all afternoon in a hungover style. In between playing hairdressers and hospitals with the dds that is. I totally love girls.

DH is slumped on sofa watching footy. Yawn. Another thrilling Saturday night chez schiffer looms.

Have tip top day everyone.

hellsbelles · 03/04/2010 10:13

goodness I can't type at the best of times but when I'm tired .

Yank - I think that counts as an emergancy and egg devouring was totally justified

YanknCock · 03/04/2010 10:16

thanks hells. We both felt a bit sick afterward. And according to the scale this morning, I have gained 2 lbs this past week. Grim. Definitely taking paper WW trackers to the USA!

TotalChaos · 03/04/2010 10:31

Morning ladies!

yank - sorry the trip back oop north was grim.

hells - hope it's not too freezing for you with the aga off

shiney - glad you are having a fun weekend.

hellsbelles · 03/04/2010 10:34

morning total.

It's actually lovely now. We are 'allowed' to put the boiler back on and DH is playing guitar (so we are all feeling a bit hippy).

Yank - how was mini on the journey? Did he sleep most of the time

Alicetheinvisible · 03/04/2010 10:34

This is all too exciting

Lizzy - i don't think fascinators are naff

Yank - the weight is probably just easter egg

I am soooooooo tired, eating raisins and drinking water as feeling unhealthy too.

wastingaway · 03/04/2010 10:35

Good morning all! Very good for for some.

I only had two gins. They were very nice though.
I appear to have some sort of hayfever/allergy thing going on and I am not impressed.

Yank!! Sounds like it wasn't as bad as you'd feared. That does sound like a helluva trip to the US though. Worth it when you get there though.

Lizzy, hope the customers chill out for you. Not fair when they've been stewing all week about something and unbottle it all over you.

I haven't bought a single egg. No nutritional/philosophical reason, just badly organised.

Norma, I'm attempting some scrapbooking over the next few days, so may I ask for your expert paper-crafting assistance if I get wobbly?
