Evening all.

instructionstothedouble - the bread thing. That happens to DW and she thinks it might be the raisng agents in manufactured bread that stmulate yeastor bacteria in her gut. I am a coelic and also react badly to gluten in bread.

Try baking your own in a breadmaker. You coudl try doing normal bread or go for gluten free bread. Either is easy to do.

Manufactured bread has powerful raising agents and high gluten flours so cutting those out by baking your own might make a huge difference. I lost 2 stone in a year without trying at all by going gluten free. I used to gorge on bread and biscuits.

Myfanjoisdefluffed · 02/04/2010 22:21

[oh SHIT] ABetaDad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, it was just a joke....

[runs off to bed screaming]

ABetaDad, fancying seeing you here... spookily, someone mentioned your name earlier!

OP posts:
ABetaDad · 02/04/2010 22:22

What?

EasterBilby · 02/04/2010 22:23

Hello I was bilblio, and I've missed a whole thread. You lot talk to much and the IT people at work seem to have banned MN ... even though I've strayed onto porn and betting sites through the course of my work.

I've lost 2 stone 5.5lb with SW since October and I've got about 1/2 a stone to go to get to target (and not have to pay). I'd like to lose another 1/2 stone after that I think so I'm in the "healthy" band on those daft charts.

Myfanjoisdefluffed · 02/04/2010 22:26

Its a long and boring story, not worth searching for posts under my name to get to the bottom of, oh no sirree.

Get thee back to the breadmaking you kitchen god, you.

Or get Shines to explain next time she's around which I'm sure she will be shortly, she's just finishing a game of scrabble...

[keeps running.......]

That's really interesting about bread. Might explain why Atkins works so well?

ABetaDad · 02/04/2010 22:35

Kitchen god?

There seems to be a food theme developing in my life this week.

Why, I was complimented only yesterday on my 'lovely shopping' by the 50 something aged woman on the M&S checkout the other day. She then went on to explain that she loved the nice food I had bought and asked if I had anyone special coming round.

I felt oddly disquieted.

Myfanjoisdefluffed · 02/04/2010 22:37

Don't worry, I'm only 34

ABetaDad · 02/04/2010 22:37

instructionstothedouble - coeliac is a genetic condition. You may well have inherited it from your mother. Most coeliacs are intolerant to lactose in milk too as you probably know.

Myfanjoisdefluffed - I saw the other thread.

BitOfFun · 02/04/2010 22:47

I have just seen the DP one...I wonder why I get singled out as a nemesis? I do my best not to rise to that sort of guff. I'm getting more and more irritated that it just keeps coming though. With a side helping of Poor Ickle Me. Very odd.

Myfanjoisdefluffed · 02/04/2010 22:50

It wasn't my fault. Honest. It was that Mitts that made me do it. And then that nasty Total stole my pocket money for fags and flushed my head down the loo and .... ahem.... shuffles feet... heads off to watch crime on the (wait for it) Crime channel and avoid putting out. again

Actually I feel quite chastised by you ABetaDad, by your no nonsense one liner, probably like Shines feels with her headmaster. All sort of naughty girl

Myfanjoisdefluffed · 02/04/2010 22:53

My last post was to BetaDad not BOF!

Bof - my theory on that was that it was because she was on the girl crush thread and saw me mention you. I assumed that was why she then 'tied' us together

I dont really know TSC at all though so dunno why she mentioned her

ABetaDad · 02/04/2010 22:55

Dont worry. I have been teasing.

BitOfFun · 02/04/2010 23:04

TSC has had a few pops at her recently. I have too, I guess, but only obliquely.

Hey- I am the one who scolds ABetaDad: does that put me top of the food chain of whiplashers?

Myfanjoisdefluffed · 02/04/2010 23:09

Bloody hell you lot, you'll all be joining me at the Rubber Ball the way you're going

Now, enough of this, I can't avoid sex just by sitting here you know. I need to go upstairs which is the cue for the baby to start screaming

instructions - if you are going to have coeliac tests done then you need to keep eating bread otherwise the tests will not work.

My tests were actually inconclusive. I only started with a gluten free and lactose free diet out of desperation after all the tests had been done.

I found out about coeliac by reading MN threads. Although, I am not officially coeliac the difference in my overall health is stunning. I felt beter instantly. MN really changed my life after feeling really quite unwell for years.

Do go and have the tests and the after give the GF/LF diet a try and see how you feel.

We are back home oop north, but only until the wee hours of Monday when we leave for the US on a flight with two changes

Laundry being done.

oh, and I'm Yank, I have a million pounds to lose or something....I am officially doing WW online, but after the last week spent away from home and two weeks in the U.S. coming up, I will be lucky to just maintain my weight. Will do my official weigh in tomorrow morning or Sunday (will record whichever one I weigh the least).

dawntigga · 03/04/2010 05:14

Sobs quietly - don't take my bread away, it's the only pleasure I have left.
