Morning - Tigga you're up early!

Fell asleep at 8pm last night so will be watching Ashes tonight.

Off to cinema with DS1 this morning to see 'How to train a dragon'.

Ate loads yesterday but weight staying the same pretty much.

Yank - how was the trip - were the in laws better behaved?

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 07:11

Morning all

I'm Norma, I have lost 44lbs so far & have 11 (maybe 18lbs) to go by following WW online!

Poor Tigga you were up early

I feel quite pleased with myself, DH & I were going to have a takeaway last night to celebrate but I said I'd cook instead & made really yummy chicken & vegetable kebabs

We seem to be absolutely inundated with Easter Eggs, so far the DC have 8 each, plus lollipops & bunnies

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/04/2010 07:29

Good Evening/Morning everyone.

I'm Claudia (not the real one obv, what the hell would she be doing here?!). I have about 8 lbs to lose. Was doing really well but the last couple of days have been shocking. I went to say in a chums fabulous beachfront house yesterday and drank my body weight in Gin and ate dd's body weight in crisps. Oh and also got stuck in to the choc eggs.

Today hungover, tired and have eaten mainly liquorice. God I am SO into liquorice at the moment.

I can heartily recommend Metamusil fibre drink - not sure if you have it in the UK - but you'd deffo have something similar. I've been on it for a week and my lavetorial habits have been splendid.

Yank as a veteran of long haul flights I can defininately confirm that direct is best - at ANY cost. Good luck with the flight tho.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2010 07:30

Ooh, thrust a cuppa this way please Norma , you make the best morning brew.... How are you you lovely lady?

Lolling at AbetaDad shenanigans .

Manufactured bread really is the pits isn't it? I have to be very careful, and lactose. I am mostly good but then have mad junk carb craving days when I relapse and the regret deeply.

I am at 'MiLS' today, which will be interesting because she is a handful and I have been in counselling long enough to hopefully be able to handle it....step out of the drama triangle and then take the three steps of assertiveness.....

And then..... drum roll.. I should have a night of and some meeeeeeeee time... yayy!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2010 07:32

Oh, and morning claudia.. . So glad your lavatorial habits are satisfactory .

What time are you there?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/04/2010 07:36

Thought you'd be glad to know my um, habits, Mitts,

It's now 5.04pm here, just fed the kids roast chicken, roast potatoes and salad. They've had their bath already, and am hoping they'll be tucked up in bed by 6pm (ha).

Our clocks go back tonight. So does that mean an extra hour in bed?

Enjoy your me time Mitts.

Do you let your dcs scoff all their easter eggs at once or ration them?

MitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2010 07:43

I don't get the DC's Easter eggs, and encourage relatives to give them pocket money . They get a gift or treat instead. (taking them to see Nanny McPhee) To be honest, they get sweets most weekends and chocolate at other times so it sort of lost it's special appeal to me.

I am not religious but am a bit at the over commercialisation of every possible religious holiday.

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 07:52

There you go chook

I tried that tatic re Easter Egss, MIL is great & gives the DC money each Easter to get some clothes instead & usually my mother doesn't even remember I have DC let alone buy them an egg but she did this year

Hope you get on ok at your MILs & get to enjoy your you time this evening - got anything planned or just slobbing out?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 03/04/2010 08:01

Claudia - I want your life.

Right must get off my arse and cook breakfast, 3 full English, one with fried egg, 2 with scrambled, a hard boiled egg and a child's portion of porridge.

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 08:07

Bloody hell Fanny you're cooking up a storm!

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/04/2010 08:35

Ha Fanny, how funny, I WANT YOURS!

Shall we do a life swap for, um, say a month? You come to sunny South Australia and explore the wineries etc and I'll come and luxuriate in beautiful Dorset.

Get Ch 4 to film it . . . or suggest it to your GMTV mates

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 08:42

Now there's an idea Claudia - you could for a really extreme Wife Swap

Lizzylou · 03/04/2010 08:48

Morning all( evening to Claudia), am in work, went to bed to watch Ashes to Ashes and didn't quite make it, DH said it was crap though???
Woke this morning very disorientated, no idea of day and where I should be going. All that fresh air yesterday.

Oh, and I have now lost 1 stone, yay. Though have a heavy weekend to get through and no spinning on Monday. Boo.

I want to go to Australia and drink gin in a beachside house with Claudia.........

Nice bed Fanny.

Alicetheinvisible · 03/04/2010 08:49

Morning

Bad nights sleep, mostly i feel from eating most of a chocolate bunny, which obviously worked as a stimulant on the small person currently squatting in my womb as it literally kicked the crap out of me for hours so i couldn't sleep. DH then had to do injections at 4am so got up for a bit then fell back asleep at about 5.45am If i had known Tigga was about i would have been on for a chat!

ABetaDad/Instructions - i don't feel as bloated on our own bread either, shop stuff has all sorts of nasties in it.

Easter eggs - I always try to put people off buying DD easter eggs as i don't want her eating that much chocolate and i don't need to eat it so eek it out. My mum says it easier to let the kids eat the whole lot in one go and then you only get 24hrs of madness and i am starting to see the appeal.

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 08:51

Well done Lizzy that's fab!

Alice - not sure even I a self confessed chocoholic could eat 8 Easter eggs plus the extras all in one go let alone the DC

hellsbelles · 03/04/2010 08:52

gmtv?! Oh I wonder who you'll get there? Fanny the bed is beautiful. I hope you had a wonderful sleep in it.

BOF - saw the gorgeous new photos of DD2. She really has the most beautiful face. And she looked like she loved her tree adventure.

Does anyone need any calming ointment after all the whipping that was going on last night .

Mitts- how brilliant - have you got anything specific planned?

we are all freezing and grumpy here (windows open and heating, hot water and aga turned off to avoid certain death ) - and no bloody engineer has called back. Very luckily they have an electric oven here so at least we will get food!!!

hellsbelles · 03/04/2010 08:53

who you'll get there?? I meant who will turn up.

I am totally exhaused as DD woke up 5 times (probably due to the freezing cold and her window being open

bellavita · 03/04/2010 08:55

Morning - bloody qualifying grand prix is on [cross]

Yogga brekka with sliced banana and then smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel for lunch.

I have got weighed and not lost anything again. I am getting slightly peed off now. My period still hasn't turned up and I suspect this has got something to do with not losing - I feel bloated and yuk.

Claudia - DH had some Metamucil biscuits at one time. When we have gone on holiday to the US we have always got a friend of his who lives in Ireland some Metamucil powder. DH had colitis although he is cured now (no bowel). But sometimes with a change of diet - like on holiday, the biscuits came in handy.

Yank, you are going to be bloody knackered - which part of the US are you going to?

Tigga - what on earth were you doing up at such an ungodly hour?

Holds cup out to Norma for a refill

My boy got four easter eggs each. They eat them when they want. I just say to them when they are gone they are gone so it is up to them to be reponsible about how much they shove down. I would rather they be given a couple of quid each though for their piggy bank.

NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 08:56

That doesn't sound fun hells hope they call you back & soon! Speaking of Agas my auntie moved house yesterday & her new place as a proper Aga & she doesn't know how to use it, I was really suprised by how teeny the oven part is can't imagine trying to a cook a roast in that!

bellavita · 03/04/2010 08:57

Hells, can you get back onto the agent again? or asked to be moved to another cottage?

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 03/04/2010 08:58

DH is watching the qualifing too.

MIL tried so hard with Nan & the family friend to get them to give the DC money instead but all to no avail. Nan even bought them an egg each and a massive bag of choc buttons
