Sazz, sorry for your crappy day

Someone mention cake? Yum.

I have got nice clothes on today, which I will admit always makes me feel better about myself.

Oh and I passed my driving test first time too and it took my very intellectual DH 3 times!!!

You would have been eating that on your own Shiney... give me a proper piece of meat anytime

I still buy Total though - usually 3 pots a week.

I'd try a QF - used to like the bird eye chicken breasts coated in stuff, I figure it's like that only, well, not chicken and probably slightly rubbisher.

TrillianAstra · 06/04/2010 21:07

You still haven't told me if I should share Alice's chocolate cake with DP...

traceybath · 06/04/2010 21:07

Sazzles - sympathy for your trying day - hopefully you'll get everything sorted soon.

Iggi - hope you've had a lovely lovely day.

Mitts - oooh may take DS1 to see Nanny McPhee.

Yank - hope you're packing and have a fab time at home.

Oh dear - just watching the programme about GOSH on bbc2 - its going to make me cry . . .

Lizzylou · 06/04/2010 21:08

Evening all

Bella, we love Hawes here, we go when we go to PIL's caravan. Main draw being the cheese factory where you can taste all the cheeses, we do love our cheese in our household. Boys love the cattle market as well. Your DS2 sounds gorgeous.

Jet, yay for your lovely girls spoiling you.

Mitts, would you say Nanny Mcphee was suitable for a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old? 4yr old is a bit wussy though, bless him.

Sazz, hope tomorrow is better for you.

Been to the gym, saw a few people I know, it is very embarrassing trying to chit chat whilst on the fat wobbler Did 4km and 20mins Fat wobbling though so feel better for that.

Hells, I like the gym, mainly the classes, if I am honest see if you can get a free trial somewhere to see if you like it?

Shiney, did you go for a walk today???

If Iggi did come on this evening I'd be worried, hope she is being spoiled rotten and quaffing champagne like there is no tomorrow...

MitsubishiWarrioress · 06/04/2010 21:08

I went out in a summer dress and lightweight jacket today in protest. It was bad enough being chilled...and then the wind really picked up, to DD's delight. I spent half of the time outside being slightly flustered and walking demurely whilst trying not to take off with my modesty in shreds in Derby. The skirt bit inflated menacingly like a barrage balloon with the slightest gust.

DidEinsteinsMum · 06/04/2010 21:11

Shiney there was a call for you on a thread about working as a copper with kids. did you see it. it was in unaswered last i looked but have be awol watching things being blown up in the name of science.

Ds is asleep, am going to head off for sleep soon. Hopefully will be able to rediscover this fun thing tomo although it could be chaos and a little optomistic. we'll see. taking buggy - i know he is too big but it works when he meltdowns so it will be the junk carrier for most of it and probably a stool for a better view.

bellavita · 06/04/2010 21:12

Lizzy, I have been threatening DS1 with booking a b&b up there. He fell asleep in the car (he will be 13 in June) on the way back - he is so not used to doing any walking) - he never falls asleep in the car

Evening!

Happy Birthday Jet!
And you for yesterday Lizzy.

Hope Iggi has had a lovely day.

DH is in Scotland, he said the weather is v. bad.

My lovely sister and her man popped in for a visit this afternoon. Hadn't seen them since we moved in October. And I've just realised I forgot to give her her birthday present. (Dec 24th!) Doh!

I think the photos of cupcakes on my FB drew her North.

I bought myself some jeans this morning. that I've had to fork out for the same big size, but the other ones had had it. £12 from New Look, so no real hardship.

Just chilly enough for my wristwarmers too.

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 21:14

Evening ladies.

Sazz, DS threw up his milk all over his cot tonight so if your happy with my bugs I'm happy with yours. I think his is from his cough, in that he coughs after having his milk then retches then chunders (nice). I have eaue de puke about me at the moment (even nicer!).

I'm watching Touch of Frost on catch up at the moment. A tad boring but watchable, particularly when your knackered.

Today I have had 21 1/2 of my 23pts. I had only had 19 but was really really hungry so had to have some toast and a hot (options) choc. Tea was poached salmon, roast courgette, onions and mushrooms with jacket potato. YUM.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 06/04/2010 21:15

Lizzy... I think so, DD is 7 and loved it. I wasn't watching it with my '4 yr old' antenna so wouldn't like to say for sure, but I can't think of anything really that is too terrible. It is very emotional in places, but very very funny and lots of 'cute' bits. Certainly I can't think of it being any more scary or worrying than the first one.

I love her attention to detail and I am so inspired by the quilts she uses in both films.

bellavita · 06/04/2010 21:16

I love a Touch of Frost MyCat

at Mitts with her Marilyn Monroe dress look!! You floozy

MyCatIsABastard · 06/04/2010 21:19

bella, I normally love Touch Of Frost too, I'm just not getting in to this one for some reason. Shame because it's the last one. I think it's because I am tired. I too was walking today (I'm not sure, but I think Shiney mentioned she'd done some ) and I feel like I've run a marathon!

TrillianAstra · 06/04/2010 21:19

at wristwarmers.

Alice had a v nice shorter-sleeved jacket on today, it woul dhave gone quite nicely with wristwarmers - they'd have gotten covered in drooly marshmallow though.
