Ah don't be a silly arse.

You didn't ask for anything...it's been offered.

As I said, I couldn't contribute to the xmas appeal so am happy to help out a fellow 'threadie' if you need it.

Can't offer much, £40 maybe.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 21/01/2010 14:23

That Asda Chenille one is lovely btw

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 14:24

Jet, I am sure noone thought that you were hinting.
That Asda one is really nice, how much were you going to pay Brighthouse per week?

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 14:25

Well, between me and TDWP, you are almost 1/2 way there, please let us help out, you can't sit on the bloody floor!

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 14:42

brighthouse was going to be £23 per week, for a 2 seater and a 3seater over 3 years

i do actuall prefer the chenelle one as well, as the one i have now has those non-fixed back cushions, and they are a nightmare with mini

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 21/01/2010 14:44

jet - locally we've got emmaus, who buy and sell things to help homeless people. It is all second hand but they only take good quality furniture. I've linked there website here for you. They might have a local shop. Also they say that they offer discounts to people on low incomes. I'm sorry, I can't offer any money myself (v skint til I get more work in) but do try freecycle or the Emmaus guys.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 21/01/2010 14:45

... and don't go the the theiving bastards that are brighthouse! (please).

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 21/01/2010 14:58

Oooh talking of money.

I'm doing this thing a friends suggested.

to put £1 in a pot every day from change in my purse, and forget about it. By xmas I'll have £365 that I barely noticed missing.

bellavita · 21/01/2010 15:19

Vinny - shall I book us a room?

Did someone mention the Raddisson?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 21/01/2010 15:24

jetcatisfrozen - I don't do paypal, but let me send you a cheque

email me annabeldonaghey @ hotmail dot com

My Cat doesn't work anymore for some reason.

bellavita · 21/01/2010 15:25

Vinny, there is a pre-pay and save at £80 per room but that means you cannot cancel, or there is a best room rate of £90 or there is a bed and breakfast rate of £126 - I obviously don't want to do the pre-pay one, but would you require feeding? I think if we have had a night on the lash then a fry up is probably on the cards? But I am happy to do what you want.

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 15:29

thanks guys. i have been thinking, and if anyone wants to help then it would have to be a loan, as i wouldnt be able to cope with the guilt of you donating that much money.

TDWP - junior has a coin counting jar for that very purpose, but we keep having to cash it in. I have promised i will make it up to her, things are just a little hectic so soon after xmas.

I have made a big decision though. I got rid of my car last summer, when it was going to cost too much to repair. The plan was to get a lease car for a year while i saved for a new one (via the credit union). But, that kind of makes no sense, and tbh, i am liking the fact that i dont have to worry about the cost of petrol as well as any repairs. So, 2010 is going to be a car free year - i can convince myself i am doing it for the good of the environment as well as my purse.

I think that if i had a car now, i would not do as much walking, and i need to do that to become healthier. SO, trains and buses it is, which isnt actually that bad I can get the bus into two bigger towns from the end of my street, and the train station is about a 30 min walk, for when i am going to newcasltle. I realise i may feel different in the summer when i may miss the handiness of simply packing the kids in the car and going in picnics etc, but for now, thats the plan

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 15:31

bella - i did wonder about the breakfast part

what is everyone else doing?

BitOfFun · 21/01/2010 15:31

Vinny, I have texted you- could you check before we book anything?

MitsubishiWarrioress · 21/01/2010 15:34

I do that with all change under 50p TDWP, but just for rainy days. I do it for a couple of months and then me and the DC's decide what we are going to do with it.

Might do something for christmas as well though..that is a good idea.

Jet...can we share? I'll book the room if you want and then we can sort stuff out down the line. But if you would rather a single that's OK....

I have to go out. I have been very good today as I like to have a coffee and piece of cake before I go to counselling.

Oh and a quick cock before I go!!

bellavita · 21/01/2010 15:35

Feels out of the loop only having Shiney's moby number > I want to be BofF's and Vinny's moby friend too , but I have also left my phone at work today - I will track you two down eventually!

Jet, I have your address, do you want a cheque or Paypal.

I still have to OK with DH, should be OK, though I do only live 20miles away from Manchester, so will have to say I am at the Travellodge paying £20

I can't get onto the Radisson site either.

bellavita · 21/01/2010 15:36

Are you asking her to check my credentials before she commits to sleeping with me BofF?

BitOfFun · 21/01/2010 15:37

Right- no need to book me and Vinny a room because we can share a cab home more cheaply. Will still be a 45 minute drive, but quite a bit cheaper for us and they run all night. I'm overdrawn at the bank and still no job, so I'm reluctant to commit myself to spending money I don't know I'll have IYSWIM?

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 15:39

BOF, I may do the same thing yet

TDWP, is the Tapas restaurant you know El Rincon? Because if it, I can second the recommendation and you can have good set menus which work out v good value.

bellavita · 21/01/2010 15:40

Shiney, tis you and me then - I will book - do you want breakfast? as I said, there is a pre-pay at £81 but means you will lose the money if you cancel, £90 without brekkie or £126 with.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 21/01/2010 15:41

Lizzyou it is indeed - set menus and good fairly cheap wine too
