Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

glands

ItWasntTheBigBang · 17/01/2010 18:30

because you are run down vinny and you have a germ incubator running around your house, that is very willing to pass on germs even if they are unwanted. Plus the weather has turned and that is when you are most likely to catch something. Lots of fruit and veg and a few early night following stressless days Take life easy.

Flam - it would appear my memory is actually pretty ok. Tis where i said it was just off junction 18 of M6

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 17/01/2010 18:34

Oh Jesus Vinny, can't believe you're ill again lady You've had a really bad run of luck with cold and flu.

Mycat - I'm on Saz and Yanks FB too.....holy is in my name if you wanna add me If you do, I hope you have a pic of you cat on your profile

My MIL is a pain in the ass.....can't be bothered explaining it but just grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

And breathe

MitsubishiWarrioress · 17/01/2010 18:42

Awwww Vinny, it sounds like you need a vitamin boost or something, iron maybe?

Food today

OK...it's not good..

Bacon and sausage sandwich, 3 kitkats, packet of mini chedders, bottle of lucozade, small piece of fruit concrete (I made a fruitcake that 'went wrong', but it is curiously nice. If you forget it was supposed to be fruitcake

I have had a massive clear out of the top floor where my 'studio' is so it feels more appealing to go up. I have boxed loads of the DC's Dad's stuff up and put it into storage and dragged out the rocking horse to ride for the DC's. There was the most amazing Peacock butterfly up there. My top floor is like a Butterfly sanctuary in the winter, and this one was HUGE, and the colours were like jewels.

I love Butterflies and use the a lot in my paintings... it must have been a 'sign'. (that I should tidy up more often lol!)

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 17/01/2010 18:48

at fruit concrete Mitts!

I'd love to be arty. Am good at crafts but couldn't paint or draw to save my life. Do you have any paintings online that I could nosey at Mitts?

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 18:51

Oooh, butterflies, how lovely. You need to top up that food with osme fruit and veg Mitts.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 17/01/2010 18:52

this is me/my stuff squeezy

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 18:53

Will a cute kitten help Squeezy?

MitsubishiWarrioress · 17/01/2010 18:54

I know Trills , I am strangely not hungry though!!

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 18:55

Oooh, I like the untitled black/white one Mitts, I love how it goes from being that stark monochrome to including all the beautiful textures.

jetcatisfrozen · 17/01/2010 18:57

sorry you're not well again Vinny

I actually cant remember who i am friends with or not on FB so feel free to add me if i am not on your list.

Flamingo - hope you]re feeling a little better

My decision for today, i have decided to join a dating site

AM taking it very slowly though, i am appealing for help with choosing a unique user name, not something tragic like angel or something

I will then need help with my profile, so am thinking maybe to do it on FB, so as not to announce it to the world?

Also, photos. OMG - do i have to!!!

ANy wise and calming words woule be really appreciated, and any helpful (or not!) suggestions as to where to start

bellavita · 17/01/2010 18:57

Aww Vinny - sending you a squeeze and a hug.

Holmes Chappel - brings back memories (I had a soldier boyfriend that lived in Siddington in Cheshire and we frequented Holmes Chapel a few times..)

Fruit concrete Mitts - those are the cakes that taste the best though!

Wow, Mitts, your paintings are fab!
I love the Lizards and the frogs especially, you are so talented

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 17/01/2010 19:01

Aw Trills, love the kittens..... It's big eyes are gorgeous!!

Mitts, those paintings are great! Love loads of them....the patterned frogs, bird and lizards are great and I love Elementum and Amazon....also love Petrol and Somnium....and Time For Peace.

What a fab talent you have!

Lizzylou · 17/01/2010 19:01

Jet, good for you, it is the modern way, this internet dating.

Am sure we can come up with a fiesty, confident and non-tragic nickname for you!

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 19:01

Jet - internet dating is a positive step, not at all desperate. If you want to find a man or woman to date then it would almost be silly not to use the internet, unless you already had someone in mind

bellavita · 17/01/2010 19:03

Mitts - your paintings are amazing

OP posts:
MitsubishiWarrioress · 17/01/2010 19:06

Oooh, jet, that sounds exciting . Would love to help if I can but I couldn't sell sushi to the Japanese so it might be wiser to take the advice of someone with a little more sense!

Great step though..

Thanks for the lovely comments . My new work is quite quite different for me and I am generally keeping it under wraps until I can exhibit later in the year!

jetcatisfrozen · 17/01/2010 19:07

Oh i wish i had someone in mind Trills All the men i know (prob about 2 are already taken. Apart from my ex........

and thanks for the nice words

VinegarTits · 17/01/2010 19:23

Have sent ds1 for lemsips, your right i am run down, and i only wish i could get some sleep and some proper rest, though i did sleep for Englan on Friday night/sat morn, but think the cold was already in my system by then

I caught ds2 sucking the sponge that i cleaned the toilet with before tis no wonder we are always ill!!

jetcatisfrozen · 17/01/2010 19:25

Vinny

bellavita · 17/01/2010 19:25

Oh bless DS2 Vinny.

Have you got lots of fruit in? Oranges, satsumas for Vit C?

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 17/01/2010 19:53

Got fresh orange juice (pressed, not that concentrate shit) oranges, clementines, apples, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, black berries, its like a green grocers in here (ds2 is a fruit monster)

hellsbelles · 17/01/2010 19:56

oh mitts - beautiful stuff. Have you seen allan forsyth I love his stuff (not the flowers) and some of your work reminds me of it. We got one of his pieces very early on (so it was much cheaper than it is now) - but now it's all very expensive - so you may well yet make your fortune!...

VInny - yes agree with the others get that fruit down you. My dd has a cold and is outraged (she's 11 months and this is her first one)....she doesn't know what the heck is going on and seems rather cross about it all.
