Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

We are also off to B&Q. Going to look at vinyl as I'm not happy with what we saw yesterday anymore.

Trill, sorry for bending your ear about SIL on FB! Dunno where that came from!

I take your B&Q and I raise you an IKEA. I will go on FB to accept any friend requests (beg beg) later. If anyone requests me I will assume it is one of you lot, can't be anyone else.

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 14:24

I am making mash (rustic of course) with baked beans for proteiny goodness. I didn't have any bananas.

VinegarTits · 17/01/2010 14:29

thanks for your FB request Sazz, have added you off to nose at your profile

bellavita · 17/01/2010 14:35

Have just had to nip out and re hoover my car whilst DS2 has gone to the dump with DH. Bless him, he is so willing, but I am sure he put more muck in that he took out. I usually like the no muck option at all times, but because of the snow I haven't had a chance to do it at all.

DS1 has had the swine flu vac, he suffers with asthma. He has also had the normal flu vac.

Hello everyone. Hope your all OK.

Trills - I've had a hangover all day. I'm now in the desperate to sleep phase, which is hard with 2 dc!

Food Focus going ok, but because of hangover I've overeaten at lunch (it was a necessity!) so have only got 161 calories left for the day. A very light sandwhich later on I think.

I'm feeling sad. Noone has asked to be my friend on FB . At least I'm friends with Sazz and Yank .

ItWasntTheBigBang · 17/01/2010 17:06

Flamingo-hope you are ok.

Jodrell bank was fun, car has been emptied and ds is currently making up new lego. Naughty mummy let him get it 2 1/2wks before his birthday but as it is more money then one person would spend, and it is being discontinued thus limited supply i thought it was justifiable as he had the money saved.

diet wise is has been super shit today. probably eaten twice my calorie allowance already and not even got as far as tea But i guess tomo is a new day and a fresh start on the diet front. Early nigth tonight might help

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 17:09

HI MyCat. I have had about 1/2 a tin of rice pudding as well (from the tin) which is apparently 210 calories, although I'm not officially counting.

And now I'm watching the Hannah Montana Movie. I am only vaguely aware of Hannah Montana, but my friend who caem round on Friday has a pre-teen nearly-stepdaughter and says it's worth a go if you can get into the 11-yr-old mindset

TrillianAstra · 17/01/2010 17:10

Hi DEM (I assume). Have you had nice things with your too-many calories? I think the important thing is to make sure you enjoy all the calories you eat, and don't have meaningless ones.

ItWasntTheBigBang · 17/01/2010 17:34

Right first time trill calorie intake has involved large pieces of carrot cake and so much chocolate that feel slightly iffy. But very much enjoyed.

bellavita · 17/01/2010 17:40

Well, roast chicken dinner was bloody scrumptious. I did not have any of my fabulous roast potatoes (crunchy on outside, fluffy on the inside) 'cos I am having a glass of wine instead .

Have had a really good day today foodwise, although I was starving by 4.00pm.

MyCat - I am friends with Yank and Sazz - initials AM if you want to add me.

Trills, I quite like Hannah Montana tis hard not to when there is usually her or the Jonas Bro's on in our house.

Lizzylou · 17/01/2010 17:44

Thanks DEM/IWTBB.

I'm ok. My idiot brother came over to bring the screwdrivers and was lovely and made the girls tidy up for me. DH got home about an hour ago and has been fantastic. In a wonderful mood and taken over completely.

Bloody, awful shit day. I do not want more of these!

Anyway, you are all very lovely, as per usual Thank you.

bellavita · 17/01/2010 17:54

Glad things have taken an upturn for you Flam .

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 17/01/2010 17:58

Aw Flam, good for your Brother and your DH, have a nice relaxing evening

IWTBB, DH is always going on about taking our boys to JOdrell Bank, is it v expensive/any good for (almost) 4 and 6 years old?

Off to draw a zoo for DS2.

FlamingoBingo · 17/01/2010 18:00

What is Jodrell bank?

ItWasntTheBigBang · 17/01/2010 18:10

Lizzy -it is fab £2 entrance for adults £1 child, £1 each for 3d cinema. Not much of a visitor centre but nice playground and walk through the arboretum and if you are lucky you'll see the telescope move. Ds loves the cinema and the gravity pit balls. We have been going since he was 2. just recommend you go in nice weather and take spare clothes as ds got so covered in mud he had to come home in his pants. Spare trousers if it is muddy a must (as are wellies). The whispering dishes are fun too.

Flamingo - its the site of Lovell's radio telescope that tracked the orbit of sputnik satelite. The Satelite dish telescope is huge and you can get quiet close.

ItWasntTheBigBang · 17/01/2010 18:11

to qualify nice = not actually pissing it down. (and have suitable mud clothes as necessary.)

FlamingoBingo · 17/01/2010 18:12

where is it?

ItWasntTheBigBang · 17/01/2010 18:23

cheshire plains - urm outside holmes chappel (i think) here is link to info page

VinegarTits · 17/01/2010 18:25
