Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

DWP, I'm local to Manchester, would love to meet up. I think there are quite a few that can get there easily?

VinegarTits · 19/01/2010 10:14

Yank yes i do work in an open plan office, and the air con is always cocking up too so the tempreture is never consistant and the windows have that stuff on them so you can't see in but also means there is no natural light getting in here either, it is grim, i'm probably lacking in vit D as i never see daylight

bellavita · 19/01/2010 10:14

Vinny - it sounds like you are constantly run down which is why you are catching every bug going. I second what Lizzy said about 3 for 2 offers at Boots & H&B. I hope it passes soon.

Well done Yank on going without the sausage roll. Savoury stuff does not interest me one bit - has to be chocolate all the way.

Just had a right scare, got a call from DS2's preschool saying that he said his neck hurt, he'd gone white and was sitting still (a sure sign somethings up) and saying he wanted to go home.
Sped there, thinking meningitis or somesuch (never let it be said I am not a Drama Queen) and it appears he cricked his neck picking something up. He is now at home having had some calpol and milk, asking to go back!

My heart racing must have burned some calories!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 19/01/2010 10:51

Bloody hell Lizzylou I'd have been scared too.

VinegarTits · 19/01/2010 10:51

Oh poor Lizzy, is he ok now? must have give him a shock poor thing

bellavita · 19/01/2010 10:53

Oh no Lizzy. What a shock for you.

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 19/01/2010 10:58

He's totally OK now.
Sat watching Cbeebies and drinking milk.

I wished they'd have said he'd cricked his neck on the phone, I was like a woman possessed driving to get him. Then when I got there they were all, "Oh it does hurt when you crick your neck", they made it sound so serious on the phone, I was planning my route to casualty!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 19/01/2010 11:12

Oh dear - just been to local shop and they have their newborn son with them.

He is 4 days old , 6lb exactly with a shock of dark hair. I wanted to sniff his head but that would have been odd. Still made me crazily broody.

YanknCock · 19/01/2010 11:22

DWP, wine sounds good! If you are broody, you can have my screaming 5 month old for a few hours, that ought to sort you out

VT, I found I got ill a lot more when my office moved from separate offices with just 2-3 people each to a big open plan. Sounds rotten with the light/air issues. Agree some antibacterial spray to keep in bag would be useful, and maybe some alcohol wipes to disinfect phone/keyboard/etc?

Lizzy, sounds scary! Glad he is ok.

Bella, I am ALL about savoury stuff. Most sweet things don't interest me that much, particularly puddings with fruit or any cake that isn't chocolate. I do love chocolate, but not as much as DH!

DreamsInBinary · 19/01/2010 12:11
