Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

Bella
That first video they had when they reformed, on the beach wearing Aran jumpers - raaar!

Independence Day is one of my favourite films. I may watch it later.

bellavita · 16/01/2010 17:17

Good point there Trills with the painting!

bella, no, not the whole pizza, just half (four slices). I was thinking I was being better than usual because we didn't do any starters (but normally we'd get a medium pizza if we had starters). I probably could eat a whole large pizza quite easily though.

I am hardly ever full, get very annoyed at people who pick at a few lettuce leaves, leave half of them and say 'oh I couldn't possibly eat any more, I'm so stuffed!'. Yeah, f*ck you--can I finish yours then?

The day isn't completely ruined I suppose...I could salvage it by not having last night's leftovers and making baked fish instead. Plus yesterday I think I was about 8 points under what I should have been, so it sort of makes up for the damage today. Scale will tell me on Monday!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2010 17:33

Shiney, you have the added advantage of being a vegetarian as meat takes up a lot of points, I cook more with fish now than I did before.

Squeezy - you can call me whatever you like

Lizzylou · 16/01/2010 17:34

Hey all, am just catching up, couldn't MN from rubbishy computer at work.

I'd shag Howard, Bella, next Jason, then Gary (he's better with age) and if I absolutely had to Mark. But I think I may squash him.

Anyway, now you know my thoughts on Take That better let DS1 have a go on Club Penguin

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 17:35

Shiney, yes you were completely right over the baby. I will tell you my little problem, then start a new thread if you are stumped.

Ahem.....

About a month ago I noticed a spot in the area I like to call 'down yonder'. I have had cystic acne for years due to PCOS, so nothing new, other than it being on the edge of my outer labia. Thought it would eventually go, but it didn't. Thought it was getting smaller, tried to burst it (didn't work), but it's still there. Then last night in the shower, I realised there is something like a lumpy ridge near the spot (almost coming out from it), about 1.5 inches long. Am wondering if I've suddenly developed a varicose vein? DH could feel it too, reckons I need to see the GP. Any ideas?

bellavita · 16/01/2010 17:41

Yank - you have only recently had a baby... when I was pregnant and for a while afterwards I had two huuuuuuuge varicose veins down there, so I reckon that is what it is, although it is best if you are worried to see your gp or nurse? As for the spot thing, I am not sure?

Lizzy, I would take 'em on all together!!!

hideous ingrown hair?

Mitts tis ok - it wouldnt have been very relaxing it was a get jobs done trip. Ds' opticians is in buxton and we needed to get his glasses fixed. took ages and he is in an odd mood today. He spent most of the trip in the buggy i have brought for carrying the stuff for the post office Plus i was very tired and grumpy.

Am still tired and grumpy but have around 3 hours of ironing to do tonight although might just grab an early one. Had lovely roast chicken dinner and my eyelids are sitting heavy and i would love to dose off... but cant as have to do bedtime and the folks are off out so cant risk ds being downstairs on his own the mood he is in.

Have a lego treat for me for when the whole bedroom and office and ironing and paperwork mountain of doom is done. Hopefully car sorted out and cleaned too. Want to that tomo so could all you lovely ladies send drying thoughts in this dirrection so the rain holds off so it can get done please.

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 17:56

Blocked gland, if along a 'fold' bit could feel ridge-like. Best not to squeeze in case it is a vein. They're quite common around childbirth.

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 18:15

Thing I don't get is, if it is a varicose vein, why has it shown up now? I'm sure it wasn't there before. I didn't know you could get them months after a birth, and not even a vaginal birth at that!

Alicetheinvisible · 16/01/2010 18:19

Evening

Fanny - When i was in labour, DH said "Horses don't make nearly as much fuss" er, thanks

Trills - make sure you eat enough to soak up some of the alcohol the youth of today

Yank - that pizza sounds bloody good

Bella - when Take That had their 'quiet' years, Howard was djing in one of the local clubs and my friend shagged him. Said he was a bit smarmy though and was asking if she wanted to bring any friends along

Been quite good today, have been to the market and got some pears, some grapes and a couple of pineapples. Intention is there, and i am craving fruit today.

Alicetheinvisible · 16/01/2010 18:21

Oh and blueberries - meh, good in a muffin though

TrillianAstra · 16/01/2010 18:21

Horses don't have abnormally large brains that are completely unsuited for exiting via a pelvis made for bipedal walking.

I'll eat plenty Alice, don't you worry!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 16/01/2010 18:26

Evening all. We are leak free. Much cussing and banging around later a v proud (and faintly hassled) looking DH emerged from the bathroom. We now have a new toilet and sink. Just the bath to go (going to leave that for another week or 2) and tiling and all will be complete.

bella - I am sniggering at your hand job on the car

yank - When I was pregnant with DS I had what looked like blood blisters come up on my nether regions. All wsas well, although I can't remember what they were, probablyh small varicose veins. I had about 4 of them. They didn't really go for about a yr (this was with DD, they didn't really come up with DS). Maybe give the MW a call if your still in touch?

I'm out to a friends tonight and she's cooking us a meal: Butternut Squash soup, Beef Bourginon, Lemon Cheescake, all homemade and she is a good cook (or at least was last time). I'm looking forward to it. Tis my last night of pigging out for a while.

Shiney - I have found the babybel light cheeses are quite good to have as snacks. I think they are 1.5 points but are fairly filling, particularly if you have them with a load of tomatoes and sugar snap peas, which are 0 points.

Alicetheinvisible · 16/01/2010 18:27

This is true

I really want a Peroni this evening, so make sure you have a drink for me

Sazzles - those are lovely pictures. Having met your DD I can say that they are indeed very gorgeous. Like their mum of course .

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 18:37

Ouch Yank! I am of no help to you in these matters except to give sympathy I hope your mind is put at ease when you see the doctor.

Wine has been opened, Chinese has been ordered. Now just have to decide on a film to watch......Bourne Supremacy or Identity on Blu Ray....a Band Of Brothers episode or some boring submarine thingamy that DH got for Christmas, U57 or somesuch....? Am feeling the Bourne vibe......but then again I fancied watching Quantum Of Solace again....but DH says Jason Bourne can kick Danel Craigs' (apostrophe alert) ass any day so we should watch Bourne.....ho-hum.....dunno....I told him MNetters get to choose so have a vote if you feel hard enough

Jesus mycat - I bet you have saved a fortune by DH doing it all? Well done Mr mycat!

Alicetheinvisible · 16/01/2010 18:43

I think one of the Bourne films would get my vote.

We are going to watch Slumdog Millionaire when DD has gone to bed. Recorded it this week. frozen thin base pizza for dinner, smells good.....mmmmm

Daniel Craig's ass. The ass that belongs to Daniel Craig.

I become a vulture at parties, I stuff crisps and things as if I'll never see a crisp again in my life. So no worries about soaking things up.

Think I might have a G&T for now. Diet tonic of course.

DP has had a fun day fixing his parents computer and now he wants to Skype. Do you think he misses me?

Alice at sleazy HOward. He comes from up here (though had left by the time I'd moved up), I think everyone here is either related to him/shagged him/had a beer with him or a mixture of those 3.

Well done Georgi and Flam on your losses,Saz on her size 10 trousers and Yank, I think it is prob a varicose vein, please don't worry, it'll take a while for it all to settle down in that region.

Mycat, your dinner tonight sounds lovely.

Beef stew here, am famished.
