Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

Fudging hell how much have I missed - a new thread already?

Well I'm never going to catch up, anyone care to fill me in?

Ooooo chinese

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 19:00

Hiya Norma Hiya Lizzie

Well, I do admit to having a bit of a penchant for Daniel Craig....the famous trunks picture is my screensaver on the Playstation

DP must be missing you Trills

hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 19:04

Bourne for me to. It's so fast you can hardly catch a breath.

I love Take that too...though I wouldn't shag all of them as I suspect Mark would get very squashed (he's such a diddy boy isn't he). Got a bit confused by Lizzy's post though - it sounded like she included Bella in the list of Take that shaggables.

Yank - sorry I don't know how to help - go to the dr though - they are used to seeing far worse I'm sure.

CAt - we have the babybel lights too...the do the trick don't they?

Supper was homemade chilli con carne with basmati/wild rice. And I'm pushing the boat out later with some chocolate dipped fruit {when in my previous life it would have been a massive bit of chocolate cake or maybe a magnum )

FlamingoBingo · 16/01/2010 19:10

Hi Norma

Well done Georgi - sorry I missed your weight loss

I'm trying to download Google Sketchup and it keeps saying it's a corrupted file . Trying to plan the work we want to do on our house.

Supper was chicken basque (rice/tomato thingy). But I went to Costa with a friend and had a hot chocolate and a muffin

bellavita · 16/01/2010 19:12

Hells you are funny .

Don't mind them being sleazy either!!

Right, back to more mundane things....

Fanny, I had the couscous thing for tea. I was actually going to eat it all but when I had put the whole dish together, there was quite a lot, so have saved the other half for tomorrow.

I am feeling a bit guilty - DS2 made his own tea (a bacon buttie) he is ever so good and very independent. DS1 has had a handful of grapes because he is so lazy and cannot be bothered. He even asked DS2 to make him a sandwich too, DS2 declined. I think at nearly 13 years old, DS1 can and should be able to now and again get himself something surely? He has just asked if he can have an icecream and I have said no because all this would entail is unwrapping it. I am not asking him to cook a full blown meal as we obviously ate out at lunch time so he does not need another plateful, just a sandwich of some sort.

Forgot to mention that DH happened to see my post moaning about him renting Antichrist.

But what puzzled him most (and he only told me he'd seen it late today)...was 'DH' - he thought it was a personal reference to him (and I suspect he thought it meant dickhead!!). He was utterly confused - bless him.

bellavita · 16/01/2010 19:17

Hells!

hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 19:21

don't feel guilty Bella. From 11 we each had to make a meal for the whole family once a week. So they are getting off lightly! Mum pretended it was to get us used to cooking but more likely she just wanted a night off. I made carbonara every single time

NormaSknockers · 16/01/2010 19:24

Hells

hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 19:25

Trills - meant to say - I went to put the meatball recipe on the link and found you had already done it. What a very kind thing to do. Thank you.

NormaSknockers · 16/01/2010 19:28

Bella don't feel guilty, nothing wrong with giving them a bit of independence & getting them to make themselves something to eat - I think more parents should do it. Lets kids explore food by themselves a bit & you never know you may end up with a son who becomes a chef through his love of preparing food

Lizzylou · 16/01/2010 19:29

Hells! It did look like I'd shag Bella 2nd out of Take That didn't it (now worries, Bella, Jason is far more my thang)??
In my defence I was being harassed by DS1 wanting to feed his puffles or win a belt in Karate or something.

Thanks for the meatballs recipe, will be trying that.

I prefer Daniel Craig over most men tbh, can't think of anyone I'd rather have in my front room (except DH obv).

We can't decide whether to watch a DVD or not, it is "REvolutionary Road" with Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio, is it any good???

Lol, have just re-read your post Lizzy it does look like that, but I didn't read it like that originally.

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 19:38

Sazz - you are too kind to my dear mother. My carbonara was really horrid. I am a bad cook (though trying harder now)....it always had weird scambled egg type bits in it

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 16/01/2010 19:42

Ds has tidied his bedroom himself and is now practising writing numbers perfectionist alert

Hells bless your DH.

TrillianAstra · 16/01/2010 19:50

Not kind Hells, just wanted it to be somewhere I could find it so I can make it later on )

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2010 20:03
