Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

DC's love blueberries, they are ok if part of something but have to e fairly heavily disguised.

jetcatisfrozen · 16/01/2010 15:40

ooooh i luuuurrrve blueberries - but ususally cant get a look in before the girls scoff them all

Alice - wow, i bet it was so exciting when you did see something, esp after preparing yourself just in case you didnt

Shiney - good luck with WW, maybe a change of routine will work wonders for you

I have finally accepted that i will not be swapping rooms back with junior, so am going to repaint next week, from the lovely shade of lilac she wanted when we first moved in Will probably end up with cream and be very boring

Got a huge pan of turkey broth on the go - smells delicious, and then fruit salad for afters - i am being sooo good decides not to mention the coconut cake waiting in the fridge

TrillianAstra · 16/01/2010 15:56

Well done with the turkey broth Jet, sounds lovely, I love when you can smell things cooking

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 15:59

at bella's hand job

hells, I saw an osteopath while I was pregnant for my SPD (made it so I could walk more than 3 feet again), and she actually specialises in children/babies, so might consider it if this keeps happening.

Alice, DS is 4.5 months and still exclusively breastfed, so am reluctant to introduce anything like juice--perhaps I'm being too rigid, but am really trying to exBF until 6 months. Maybe will try some water. How exciting to get scanned in your own home by DH!!!

Sazzles, we've gone to Carpet Right this morning to see what's on offer as far as remnants, but there's another one in the local shopping mall that is independent and probably cheaper for installation. I think we've found the vinyl for the toilet/bathroom though.

Fanny, glad it was a nice party.

MyCat, sorry MrMyCat's plumbing has gone a bit awry. That's why MrCock leaves all the DIY to me--his head would simply explode, he has no patience for stuff like that.

Still no poo to report. DS a bit moany, but not as bad as last two days (at least not yet). Feeding as normal, wet nappies, just no poo! And there he goes again, but it sounds more like the 'hungry' cry than the 'pain' cry.

I've got a rather embarassing problem and I'm trying to decide whether to do it under my own name or namechange, and whether to just ask you lot or start a new thread....

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 16:03

Afternoon lovely ladies!

Bella, v. impressive adventurous from DSs there. But not surprising as they have a good cook for a Mum.

I got the blueberries too. My delivery came while the plumbers were here yesterday, loads of baking stuff.

I've made chocolate cupcakes today. More complicated, separating eggs etc. But worth the effort. I'm going to give more of them away this week.

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 16:06

Yank, there can be no embarrassment on the Shiney thread.

Have you changed anything in your diet recently that coincided with poo ishoos?

TrillianAstra · 16/01/2010 16:07

New thread so you get more other people's advice, but link to it from here so we know it's you.

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 16:36

Shiney, how's your first day of point counting going? I've just completely screwed up my day with Pizza Hut. Large pan BBQ deluxe is 5.5 points per slice in case anyone wants to know

wasting, cannot think of anything I've had new recently. I do use onions and garlic, but I don't know how to cook without them and it's never appeared to bother him before.

My embarrassing problem will probably involve me setting up two mirrors again. DH has already had a look, said 'weird, go see the GP', but I really don't fancy getting my fanjo out for the doc if it turns out to be something very common.

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 16:38

Have you been having more dairy? More caffeine?
I suppose you could drink a large glass of OK and see if that helps.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 16:47

What's the difference between a virgin bloody Mary and an ordinary one?

Gonna have Chinese or Indian tonight

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2010 16:48

No alcohol

hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 16:51

squeezy - virgin means no vodka - still is yummy though

YanknCock · 16/01/2010 16:53

If anything I've been having less dairy and caffeine than previously. Used to drink at least a pint of milk a day if not more, lately just having it in tea/coffee/recipes. I love my diet Pepsi but haven't had as much lately since we couldn't get a tesco delivery.

bellavita · 16/01/2010 16:56

Have cleaned all upstairs so I feel that I have earned some time to mn .

Just having a cup of hot water and lemon (I was going to have another coffee but this will be better).

Shiney how are you today - a bit more positive?

Did you have the whole pizza Yank? Just write today off and start again tomorrow. Agree with Trills on a new thread - so everyone can have an input.

Turkey broth sounds good jet (as does the coconut cake)!

hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 16:57

I've just done that Bella - had a massive clear out in the bathroom. But went through that horrible stage when it all looked worse than when I started.

wastingaway · 16/01/2010 16:58

Hmm... a change in poo in itself isn't necessarily a problem. At 4.5 months DS only pooed once every 2/3 days.
Teething changes the acid levels of the gut and can give a sore bum, so might affect the poops.
Have you posted in Breast and Bottlefeeding board?

TrillianAstra · 16/01/2010 16:58

Yep, virgin = no vodka, just spicy tomato juice. Taste nicer with vodka though.

I have Independence Day on blu-ray in my lovefilm trial.

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 17:00

Ah, I see.....I was thinking that it was made with Virgin vodka Do you still even get that?

5gomad - I always feel weird thinking of you as 'fanny' because in Scotland (dunno if same down south), fanny is a really derogatory term....not just for fanjo but for a stupid person. A chavvy Scottish person would call someone a fanny as an insult so I kinda feel weird using it

hellsbelles · 16/01/2010 17:04

squeezy - at least you didn't think that it had to be a virgin that made it

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 16/01/2010 17:11

PMSL Bella, I was just about to say that they had matured quite nicely over the years

Is it the concert DVD from last year? SIL went and said it was the best concert she had ever been to, she is in love with Gary Barlow.

bellavita · 16/01/2010 17:14

Yes it is the concert one. (I went to the Sunderland one). I am watching the bonus dvd wich is the recording of the album at Abbey Rooad.

I am about to paint my nails. This is also good for stopping eating.
