Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

Bella, sm doing much the same re: cooking/preparing the peppers, except have prepared a spicy lean mince beef, a fresh chopped tomatoes, courgettes and mushrooms filling, will crumble feta on top.

Just made it up, DH will have potato wedges, I will have a rocket and watercress salad.

Woooooo i am child free for the weekend

Goods news on the asbestos Yank

pmsl at Trill emergency weight in her legs

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 15/01/2010 18:46

Evening all.

Yank - I loved the robot suits. V cute. I'm glad they fit. Great news on teh kitchen too.

Sazz - fab weight loss. How about next week then. I'll text your or FB.

VT - I am bloody jealous of the child free weekend. My mum is having DD for a night in a couple of weeks, and although that leaves us with DS, I am looking forward to it.

Shiney - hope your feeling better this evening

Part 2 of MrMyCat as plumber not as succesful. The sink turned out to be (and I qquote) - 'a fucking useless peice of crap with non of the parts fitting'. However, he has persevered and we now have water (did I mention it was off most of the day - great fun with 2 dc) and a nice looking sink in the bathroom to go with the v nice loo. Just the bath to tackle now. Think we'll leave that for a couple of weeks though, not sure DH's blood pressure can take it.

thanks Lizzy I think you are doing fab too - your posts always make me

Bella, i cant believe you were horrible to anyone, you're too nice

Can anyone help me with a dilemma? I have a 50% off voucher for pizza hut Is there any point at all me going, or is it all going to be off the menu for me?? Junior is desperate to go, but apart from salad, i cant think of anything i would be able to eat

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 15/01/2010 18:52

jetcat - what about pasta?

hellsbelles · 15/01/2010 19:08

Trils - I think you are right - at 9 stone I was thin rather than slim - I think I maybe getting ahead of myself!

Squeezy - I'm allowed to start re-introducing stuff from today. Most importantly a glass of wine (or two a night!)....so for a week I can add in 1 carb sort of thing (can't remember what they call it in the book but basically one service of brown or basmati rice, or wholemeal toast or something like that) a day plus 1 serving of certain fruit...then if that works and you are still losing weight - you can add in a bit more.

Tonight we had lovely steak with salad that had mint, cucumber, tomatoes, parsely and chopped up wholemeal pitta. Sounds yucky but it was nice. Then strawberries dipped in a tiny bit of melted dark chocolate (allowed!) for pudding. Bliss.

Lizzy - I'll put the recipe up asap. First I've got to try and find the recipe thread!

O.k...can someone tell me if this thing is weird? I went to gymboree today with DD (sort of music and play thing for babies)....and it was my first time in the class so I tried to be friendly but not annoyingly so. Anyway I was chatting to one Mum and we asked DC's ages and that gubbins and I said 'is he your first DC?' and she looked at me like I'd farted and said 'why?' - I thought I'd misheard so I said 'sorry I didn't quite catch that' and she said 'why would you ask that?' in a really weird way.

I really had just been making conversation and I felt like a prize idiot. Do you think it was a rude question? I really hadn't meant anything by it. In the end I said - 'no reason, just a question' and then got away from her quickly.

I'm rubbish at all this 'small talk' shite. I probably should just give up

ughh - long post - sorry

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 19:15

Very strange reply Hells, maybe she has something to hid so got automatically defensive, dont let it worrying, some folk are just weird

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 19:16

Doesn't sound like a weird question to me Hells. Maybe she is paranoid about something or has had some sort of troubles in the past and was immediately on defense?

Shiney - join if you think it will benefit you. Maybe spending money on it will force you to 'be good'.....but then I'm the type of person who could buy a running machine for it to lay and gather dust. Depends on the sort of person you are I think.

There has been a distinct lack of arse kicking on the thread for the past few months so maybe that could help? On my part, I think that would help me, but I know that is not the answer for everyone.

I too am finding it really hard keeping a strong sense of motivation and staying on the wagon.

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 19:17

Gah, i need to start proof reading,

thanks both. Makes me feel better to hear it wasn't weird.

YANK - yeah on asbestos - great news

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 15/01/2010 19:20

at st james square meet up. If it was monday or tuesday i could do that, but stuck in uni and dont get long enough lunch to nip into town and attendance counts for passing course else would bunk. If you fancy a nip out i'm at the didsbury campus. enjoy the meetup.

iggy -congrats.

I had to get my car push out of its parking space this afternoon, the air out of tyres, digging away some ice, cardboard thing didnt work and the car kept sliding sidways back into the space. Two lovely lads push my car sideways for me so i could get out. Was very when they had to clean their hands on the ice as my car was so dirty. Going to have to find a car wash tomo. which is a bit scary as never done that before. Thats what i have ds for. cheapskate makes a fab afternoon activity. just too cold for that.

this diet talk is going to have to spur me into some action. i am doing really badly. And just want ds to go to bed so i can play with my lego..He is really annoying me right now.

It has taken me 30mins to write this due to inrterruptions so appologises if it hit the wrong conversation.

hellsbelles · 15/01/2010 19:20

and shiney tells it like it is as always! Thank you all - I shall stop analysing it.

bellavita · 15/01/2010 19:26

Hells - she sounds very strange indeed!

Will you stick to the online ww Shiney?

Jet - I think Pizza Express is much much nicer than Pizza Hut and 50% off voucher here for you

OP posts:
bellavita · 15/01/2010 19:27

oh what did it say to deserve a

Jet - I agree with Bella - pizza express is yummy and as the bases are thinner surely they can be considered more of a diet food

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 19:39

Mischief tonight anyone?

jetcatisfrozen · 15/01/2010 19:40

thanks Bella - that looks lovely! Does the voucher only work on one pizza though, or if i bought 2 (one for junior and friend) would they be half price each?

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 19:40

Hells she is with-holding information from me

I am going to go round with a lamp, a desk and wearing a balaclava and interrogate her later

traceybath · 15/01/2010 19:41

Hells - the lady was a loon - thats why now I avoid all such groups. Lazy mother of 3 emoticon.

Well just had yummy squid and pak choi stir fry a la nigel slater - may have some raspberries for pudding.

Vinny - A child free weekend is the stuff of dreams. What are you going to do?

DH just told me his plans for tomorrow - don't seem to include me or dc's just work and bike shopping . The allowances I make for his job.

VinegarTits · 15/01/2010 19:41
