Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

Tracey tonight i am pampering myself a bit, dyeing my hair, exfoliating, false tanning and painting my nails

Tomorrow night i am going out binge drinking

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 19:44

Here, true but disgusting

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/01/2010 19:45

OK I don't think I want to see Joseph again for a it but DD enjoyed it just as much again. It is her birthday party tomorrow aswell so a busy weekend.

hellsbelles · 15/01/2010 19:46

Tracey - I don't really want to go either (particularly as the first time she went she caught the horrible vommitting bug - first time she'd ever been ill)...

This is DD's second 'class' and she's nearly one. But I feel a bit guilty as I used to do loads of stuff with DS. But it keeps being 'hard' work I won't bother.

Your dinner sounds totally delicious.

VInny - she'll never break you know. She's tough is shiney. and very at your child free weekend.

Trills - I need you - you always seem to know where threads are. I've back through all my 'I'm watching' and cannot find our recipe thread. Please help. And how should I mark it so I don't have to pester you for it in future. I usually just mark it as 'I'm watching' - is there another better way?

Vinny - both nights sound perfect .

Having a nice glass of wine in front of the fire and watching last night's silent witness.

You're all so tall on this thread - I'm like a little munchkin at 5ft.

bellavita · 15/01/2010 19:49

Oh that didn't quite work like I thought it would.

Bella - I think it is nice to know EVERY single details

jetcatisfrozen · 15/01/2010 19:56

thanks Bella, am liking the look of the lighter pizza - i am not sure it will be under the 15g of fat rule though

I shall own up now to having some pork pie over xmas, with some..... erm...... interesting and very smelly consequences So having just about got myself back to normal, dont want to risk high fat food again

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 15/01/2010 19:58

Bella - was there any small print with that voucher?

bellavita · 15/01/2010 20:14

Hells - your woman sounds bonkers, and very rude too. FWIW none of mine have ever been to toddler groups, except for DD1, and none at all to gymboree type thingies.

Sazzles - yay! Your weight loss is so inspiring.

I'm very happy this evening. Took DD1 and DD2 to badgers for the second time this afternoon. Last week DD2 came out very keen but DD1 less so - too shy to really enjoy it. However, this week I did a dump and run (although only ran about a yard and sat and waited outside the room as I'd promised) and felt very nervous the whole hour, but went in to collect them to have them bouncing around saying 'look what I did mummy' and 'can we get our uniform now, mummy' etc. The leader said they'd joined in the whole session. I am so, so proud of those girls and bloody two fingers up to all the divs who reckon that HE'd children don't learn to socialise!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/01/2010 20:29

Tracey...are you better?

Hope all are well...

I might go swimming tomorrow sazz, if the pool is open to the public.

Yank...fab on the asbestos..

And vinny, on the child free weekend. Sat nights good enough for me at the moment.

Have you all drunk Bella out of house and home yet?

wastingaway · 15/01/2010 21:12

Evening!

Hells, what a strange woman. Don't let the odd freak put you off.

Congratulations on your asbestos Yank!

Sazz, well done! That's a fab loss.

Flamingo, what's badgers?

Weigh-in for me. Stayed the same.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/01/2010 21:15

FB well done your 2 DD's. How old are they?

Evening all

Hells, the woman was a nutter, plain as that. I thought that was part of the questionnaire for making-friends-with-another-mother myself. I always enjoy the bit where I say 'Oh no, she's my third.' For some reason, it often makes people look at me in horror/pity/shock/disbelief. I like to think that the last one is because they can't believe I'm old enough [dream-on emoticon]

Yank, glad you're getting the new kitchen, and that DS enjoyed his foot massage. I'd think twice about laminate up stairs, my sister put down laminate in her children's bedrooms, thinking it would be easier to clean but she says the noise is horrendous.

Just been interrupted by DD3 - clearly, being evicted from our bedroom is not to her liking .Never mind, I deliberately switched her on a Friday as I reckon we're in for a few bad nights till she gets used to it.

Flamingo, glad you're feeling better. Is badgers The Woodland Folk? DD1 just started Rainbows this term and is loving it. Mind you, it's right up her street - lots of singing and messing about with crafty stuff.

hellsbelles · 15/01/2010 21:35

i hope she's not on MN...she'll probalby start an AIBU thread saying 'isn't it rude when strangers ask you if you have any other children' and everyone (apart from the the cult of course ) will say - oh yes, shocking, never heard the like, how dare the beetch ask such a personal question. Blah blah blah

FB - badgers sounds so sweet - is it like brownies?

Sazzles - very jealous - burger and chips and redwine. Perfect.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 15/01/2010 21:35

Boy in bed, i have lego
!

Poledra · 15/01/2010 21:36

BTW, is this the time to mention that I have a 10L box of red and another of white that we brought back from France in Oct and opened for Christmas? The white's out in the porch and the red's warming nicely in the futility room. There's probably still 5L left in each. And I've still got Christmas cake, mince pies and some crisps left.....

hellsbelles · 15/01/2010 21:54

oh lovely Poledra - I'll be there in 5 mins!

Chaos - we have lots of lego here.....and I wish I could teleport you over to sort it out. Poor DH is legoed out trying to fix all DS's presents together (christmas & birthday)

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/01/2010 21:57

Go Go Go Joseph you know what they say
Go Go Go Joseph you'll make it some day etc etc
is just playing over and over.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 15/01/2010 22:08

Ds declared i needed my own cos i keep doing his. So i spend a bit of my christmas money on a set. Its fab. I have just built a sea-mobile thingy and have a sea monster left to build. Will be honest though did get a bit legoed out making up ds' kits to check for missing parts. 12 kits one evening is not great. But ds normally does his own. Its character building and increased literacy skills and his motor skills. plus it keeps him busy for a whole hour whilst he makes it generally and for him its the building more then the playing that he is interested in.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/01/2010 22:11

We are venturing into the worls of Playmobile for DD's birthday. I am so glad DH was with me as I would have gone quite mad.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 15/01/2010 22:11

Evening. Just popping in briefly to see how it goes with you all. Can't stay long as I have to get myself over to Poledras and guzzle her wine.
