Yay for Fanny, bet you feel much better today.

Just got stuck on the road my Childminder lives on, all these burly men walked past, in the end a young girl who was tiny (7stone if she was a say) and a little old man pushed us out of the ice.

Hoping it's all going now!

bellavita · 14/01/2010 16:11

Sazz - I would be the same - cleaning before the cleaning lady came

Have just lost my temper with Tesco.com. The driver tells me that it is a short shelf life on my bread - that's fine I say because it is going in the freezer. I unload everything, sign and then he drives off. I have not got any of my bread, currant tea cakes, hot cross buns, pain au chocs, naan breads, nada, not a sausage. I telephone them and straight away it is "oh we will refund you". I sort of lost it and said I wanted the goods not a refund and I would like a redelivery tonight or tomorrow. She said she could not guarantee it. I told her to ring the store and to make bloody well sure it was going to happen. She has just phoned me back and said I will get my provisions before 8.00pm tonight.

Having the thai burgers with mango salsa for tea tonight.

It is always the way Lizzy....

Sounds tasty Bella, and good on you for getting a redelivery.

I've had a good long walk and my trousers kept trying to fall down. But this is a good thing, no?

I'm mostly annoyed about the plumbing because it's due to shoddy work in the past. Original plumbers squished too many pipes behind a joist. Last time the plumber fixed the one that was leaking, but left the rest. I'm hoping that because it's going to be such a big job tomorrow that he'll make sure he doesn't have to do it again.

Anyway, I've turned on the gas fire.
It looks older than me.

Yay for wastings trousers . I too have put our fire on in the room. DS1 is just lighting the candles - looks all nice and cosy.

I had a crap last half hour at work and unfortunately the girl on the end of the phone got the brunt of it.

BitOfFun · 14/01/2010 16:35

Ooh, I wouldn't want to mess with you bella- you are one meeeean muthafucka

I am feeling much calmer now thankfully!

If those flowers of yours don't last the week - you tell me and I will get on to M&S and kick ass!!

bellavita · 14/01/2010 16:43

Oh chuff.... have just outed myself

Lizzylou · 14/01/2010 16:54

It was BOF wishing you a beautiful life that gave you away, me lovely.

You denied it so strongly yesterday!

You are a lovely lady, and so is BOF.

bellavita · 14/01/2010 16:58

and I agree with you Lizzy, BofF is lovely and warm and gawgeous..

CheeeseOnToast · 14/01/2010 17:14

I've done a bad, bad thing. I had a pot noodle for lunch I just went into autopilot and my body walked itself to the shop and bought it, along with a choc dip , and before I knew about it I had gobbled it all up.

So to make amends I just had a big bowl of porridge, to persuade me from eating a big dinner. God I'm awful at this 'eating healthy' malarky, I just can't do it. AND I had a slim fast shake in the fridge, all ready and waiting, and I just ignored it. Gah.

Ahh bella, lovely about the flowers All you ladies are lovely

And well done for getting tesco to re-deliver, they can be a nightmare. In my last delivery from them they sent a bag of apples five whole days past their 'best before' date. They were all manky. . I got a 'we're sorry, have a refund' email. I didn't want the money back, I wanted the sodding apples!!! (so I made apple muffins, from cutting out the good bits. Mmmm)

wastingaway - well done on the slipping-down-trousers! You're living up to your nickname. I am finding mine more difficult to get into... I need drastic action! What can I dooooooo??! Perhaps I should just stock up on tinned soups, so i can have something hot at lunchtimes? The chilled slim fast shake just doesn't do it for me at the moment...

jetcatisfrozen · 14/01/2010 17:26

Bella - you're a true star I did PMSL when i saw you had outed yourself - thats the kind of thing i would do!

good news on the trousers wasting - i actually had to take a pair in - i felt so smug sitting sewing

I hope your plumbing is soon sorted Mycat, and cheese - at the pot noodle.

I have had oven baked scampi with salad for tea, and still have 250 cals to go according to the Lord - think that may be just enough for a packet of pickled onion monster munch and a sherbert dip dab

Did shiney escape then? Either that or she has finally lost the will to live being snowed in

Lizzylou · 14/01/2010 17:33

Pickled onion Monster Munch and a Sherbert Dib Dab? Gorgeous kiddy snacks, you been raiding the tuck shop, Jet?

Wasting, well done you at trousers falling down!

Boys have turned into Beavis and Butthead, am ignoring and dreaming of lying on a deserted beach with Daniel Craig next to me.

dearprudence · 14/01/2010 17:34

CheeseOnToast, don't worry about the pot noodle - we've all had that moment where we just know we're about to sabotage our healthy eating, but we do it anyway. Put it in the box marked 'the past'.

I did my first ever spinning class today - oh my God, it was hard. I actually felt sick. Still, burned over 400 cals and it meant I missed lunch, so actually had a good day.

Is everyone on this thread as nice as bella?

Lizzylou · 14/01/2010 17:37

Dearprudence, spinning is hard isn't it? The first tie I went I thought I'd lose a lung, fab for your bum and legs though.

jetcatisfrozen · 14/01/2010 17:38

of course we are dp, just not as organised and generous

Lizzy, its from junior's sweetie jar i did her for xmas, well, i say jar, it was more of a hamper really, with a cheque hidden in the middle. I think she is fed up with it now, so i am helping myself to finish it off

I do love a dib dab

TrillianAstra · 14/01/2010 17:40

That sounds like a lovely present Jet

bellavita · 14/01/2010 17:40

Dearprudence - I used to spin - I loved it! Does take a lot of getting used to though. Two days after the very first class I did with a gorgeous gorgeous ex army man called Ivan, I could not get out of the car literally - my legs and thighs just wouldn't move . But, it is addictive and I used to do 5 classes a week (and go in the gym and run on the treadmill beforehand).

Jet - sherbet dib dabs - now that brings back memories!

jetcatisfrozen · 14/01/2010 17:41

is spinning an exercise bike? I am toying with the idea of buying myself a real bike, as i would love to get one of those little trailer things for mini before she gets too big

We have a lovely old railway line not far from here, where i usually do an hours walk - 30 mins to a certain point, then back again. The whole line is 9miles long, and i would love to complete the entire thing, but i dont think i will ever find the time to do it on foot Figure if i bike ride, i should manage it.

But, its whether i could actually dare to show myself outside on a bike.......

bellavita · 14/01/2010 17:43

jet - it is a stationary bike on a stand if that makes sense with resistance dials.

jetcatisfrozen · 14/01/2010 17:43

thanks trills, it was a 'needs must' pressie really. I was entirely skint, so buy doing this, i could spread the cost out a bit more - friends kids got one each as well, with a smaller cheque and something cryptic wrote on the gift tag to hint at a treat inside

They went down a storm, so may have to do them again next year

How are you? Have you got snow?

jetcatisfrozen · 14/01/2010 17:44

oh, thanks Bella. so i wouldnt burn as much as on a real bike then?
