Guess what? I have just had a HUGE bouquet of beautiful yellow roses delivered! To me! These things are usually only ever for me to mind until the next door neighbours get in from work...I am grinning from ear to ear, and feel a bit teary at the same time.

The card says it's a secret santa, but I can't see a reference number. I have a sneaking suspicion I know the MNer responsible- all I will say here just in case I have not rumbled her correctly is that I think she is a DIAMOND

Oh, feels like I have been up and out forever today... Out of the house for 7.25 and have just got back in. Somehow, I managed to get a chip on my bonnet but I called at a Seat dealer near my work and they touched it up for me for free . I then went to the shopping park and called in at M&S and have got some nice things for our lunches tomorrow instead of sandwiches.

BofF - you got flowers . Have you any idea who they are from? Tell us all, how did they arrive and are they a bouquet type? What about the card - any clue? Did you think they were from your dp?

Had a physio session this morning, but slipped over in the snow on the way there, hurting my back. How's that for irony!? Still hurts, but I will now grudgingly accept that the boots I was wearing are not suitable footwear for snowy conditions

I ate a tin of cream of tomato soup for my lunch, with a piece of toast with a leedle bit of grilled cheese on top cut into quarters Although not exactly waistline-friendly, it was delicious and I don't feel like snacking now. Besides, I needed it after my fall, and to bring me back to earth from the pummelling the fit male masseur gave me

How's the snow doing for everyone else? We had more flurries last night and this morning, but it seems to be melting away now, thanks goodness. I'm going out tonight and don't want to face an ice rink on the way home.

Asbestos testing man been and gone. Will have result on Friday. He only tested the ceiling, thinks that if it comes back positive, then they will want the walls tested too. If they have to take down the whole ceiling, it will disturb the paintwork (crappy as it is), so at the very least I'd get our giant swirly orange artex walls painted a different colour.
