Oooh, a non recycler.....I was thinking, she doesn't iron (I don't either), she doesn't hoover (I do, but not every day).

It's not that bad a thing to admit but a lot of people are farty about it (me, am a little bit farty about it). We do it because if we didn't, our normal wheelie bin would be too full as they only empty it every 2 weeks now. I care about the saving the planet aspect whereas DH doesn't give a shit and is not environmentally minded so each to their own.

I might have thrown a little bleach bottle....but.....I don't use bleach as it's bad for the environment and would upset our septic tank [boak]

hellsbelles · 12/01/2010 12:45

Alice - I hope it goes well. How awful for you that they won't tell you more.

Squeezy - I think I know you got that ice water tip from - but I'll never tell - I promise

Shiney - - even I, the laziest person on the planet recycle.

I'm getting extremely bored of the diet and can't wait till Friday (when I move to the rather more exciting phase 2). Though very depressingly the last few days have seen very little weight loss - maybe half a pound if I position the scales on the right bit of the floor!)

TrillianAstra · 12/01/2010 12:54

Mmm, chilli with brown rice for lunch. Yum. Am trying to drink lots of water too.

BitOfFun · 12/01/2010 12:59

How is bleach bad for the environment? I like killing all known germs dead- well, when I can be bothered. Otherwise it's Stardrops.

Helloo to TDWP! And Syc- haven't seen you for ages, hope you are keeping that nanny in the style to which she's become accustomed

Can you tell Julie that I have been buying the yoghurt since the freebies (although I confess I let two pots go off after Christmas- too much other stuff to eat).

OP posts:
bellavita · 12/01/2010 13:29

I go through loads of bleach

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 12/01/2010 13:31

Hells - I think the ice water tip came from the Juice diet thingamy? I tried it in the past, bought the juicer and all the stuff to go with it, spent a small fortune......it now sits gathering dust in my dining room Might stick it on ebay at some point in the future.

Bleach is/can be bad as it seeps into the water supplies and can cause damage to fish etc, eventually (theoretically) getting back into the water that we drink....our water here comes from a natural spring so we have to be careful with everything we use, weedkillers etc. Linky here It could be seen as a picky argument though because there are obviously far more dangerous substances worth worrying about.....I'm just a sucker bit hippy farty about it all

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/01/2010 13:36

Oh I can't stand bleach! Even the smell makes me boak.

I'm strictly a stardrops girl - dettol for the loo.

VinegarTits · 12/01/2010 13:37

I dont use a lot of bleach, generally, a bottle of bleach will be in my cupboard for 6 months and still be half full

I try to buy those eco friendly disinfectant sprays, but i do admit to using flash spray

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 12/01/2010 14:02

Helloooooo everybody! I have had a good nights sleep and an extra 2hrs this morning whilst DS napped and I feel.. now.. what is that feeling... errmmm... OH YES, Like a normal person instead of a Zombie. It is strange but familiar (I think this may have been how it was in the days before DC... )

Amazing, but just having some sleep makes dieting sooo much easier.

Not read through the thread yet (am supposed to be working!) but:

five - hope it went well last night, let me know

yank - if your around, all clothes posted (I put cost on facebook)

everyone else - hello, hello, hello

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/01/2010 14:18

Hello, crisis being ignored for sake of my lovely DS, but thanks for encouraging words.

Hello TDWP, I have always loved you your name

SYC...... how lovely to see you...I hope you are well.

I will catch up with the thread shortly.

bellavita · 12/01/2010 14:30

I buy two bottles of bleach just about every week

Have had a cheese and piccalli sandwich for lunch on sunflower and spelt bread. The bread was lovely.

TrillianAstra · 12/01/2010 15:36

Shiney for some reason you are v v popular on the 'who would you be for a day?' thread. People seem to think your life is exciting and full of plumbers and penguins...

wastingaway · 12/01/2010 16:28

What's bleach for?

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 12/01/2010 16:45

Evening ladies. My head is ringing after spending the day with yr1 students who havent been able to get outside for break.

Alice - hope you are ok.

Syc - missed your poping in. hope you are ok.

Bleach is actually better for your immune system then the stuff that claims to contain antibacterial agents. But as bleach sets my asthma off, i dont use either and have a special alcohol based solution that i use for disinfecting surfaces. Toilets get a good dose of toilet cleaner, or cheap diet coke.

I havent been to the savanah - i have had imaginary tea from a desert. DS has found his imagination and is coming up with games and scenerios that i can get ibnvolved with. pretending to eat something whilst eating tea is a very easy game.

Speaking of which i have shepards pie to to make.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 12/01/2010 16:47

could someone with knowledge of lord ford come here and anwer this question.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/01/2010 16:52

Bleach.. I have a bottle in but very rarely use it.

I do recycle although have days when I think 'sorry planet'....and bung it in the bin.

DS was going out with a lassy from school, and finished with her over Christmas, I was dutiful in encouraging him to be kind.

However on Face Book, she has just put.. ''OMG, I am SO over you now, I am going out with a well fit lad''

Shall I try that with 'H'?

And MIL....'hey, so long, sos it didn't work out with me and your DS, but you were always a bit mingin, innit?''

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 12/01/2010 17:27

chaos: diet coke down the loo? Wow, does it clean?

Am in car on way 2 sil for bingo! Am too excited!!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/01/2010 17:32

oh yeas coke is great for removing limesacle- leave it overnight.

Mituishi - lol thats awful! My sister is 14 and I am forever amused by the things she puts on her myspace page.

But what is the bleach for? Honestly!

Blimey Shiney! Don't know what I'd do though, sorry.

BitOfFun · 12/01/2010 18:17

I would demand to know the nature of the complaints, if not the detail, yes.

Then start a thread on MN naming and shaming them if they don't tell you. Er, maybe.

VinegarTits · 12/01/2010 18:29

YAdefoNBU Shiney, i would be demanding to know if it was my nursery

Have had lamb steaks, salad with balsamic dressing, coleslaw and a potato waffle for tea (im shit at this dieting lark arent i?)

I finally got my graze box today, opened when i got in (couldnt wait) and ds2 promptly ate all my delicious olives

Im not sat here munching wasabi peanuts

VinegarTits · 12/01/2010 18:30

i mean now sat here

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/01/2010 18:31

I had some cheese , crackers and tomatos for lunch - nowt for breakfast.

saving myself as I've got friends coming for dinner.

Should really get my arse off the computer.

bellavita · 12/01/2010 18:47

Wasting - bleach is to erm bleach things... Kills all known germs! I throw it down the toilet, have it in a diluted spray in a bottle and clean the shower cubicle tiles with it, bleach my dish cloth.

Shiney, I think you are perfectly within your rights to ask if it is regarding the care of the children.
