sorry if I am going over old stuff

DreamsInBinary · 11/01/2010 19:55

City break, Trill? Barcelona? Madrd? There are some stunning parts of Majorca.

I also got the vax letter today (DD 21 months, DS 3 years), and I have no idea what to do. I am very pro vaccination, but this one feels different. I never make 'gut-feeling' decisions but...oh, I don't know.

I really like La Tasca - warm atmosphere, cheap and cheerful. And always the right noise level.

TrinityIsFuckingTrying · 11/01/2010 19:56

I clearly cant type at all

NormaSknockers · 11/01/2010 19:59

Evening all

Welcome Trinity, hope you enjoy you're stay, we're not that bonkers....well....maybe a little!

Oh DIB still no sign of your book? How long have you been waiting now?

Vinny glad it's not just me who can't just eat 1 biscuit with a cuppa!!

Trills sorry you feel a bit pap

DH came home early today as he used some TOIL & said he'd take us all to Pizza Hut - I tried really hard but still ended up wating 2 large slices of stuffed crust, several bits of garlic ciabatta & some pasta/salad - I did decline dessert though so does balance it out?

Lizzylou · 11/01/2010 19:59

Welcome Trinity.

Had Pork Escalope and salad, was nice.

Have an awful conundrum after I set up that date between my friend and DH's mate. DH went out with his mate on Saturday who was rather candid about why he felt there was no future after a few too many.

And it's sexual and personal and I wish I didn't know and could bleach my mind

Will never be able to look her in the face again!

BitOfFun · 11/01/2010 20:03

Come on then Lizzy, tell us. It will help, honestly.

Hi Trin! I've got a cross-trainer thingy. Displays clothes beautifully

hellsbelles · 11/01/2010 20:03

yes Norma I'm sure that does balance it out

No I haven't Trinity - everytime I get anything remotely like an exercise machine it ends up as an expensive coat hanger

Lizzy - nope sorry, can't let you get away with that we need details

BOF - our exercise bike turned into a brilliant clothes horse!

My period has started. Second one since my IUD was fitted. The last one lasted about 12 days, 10 of which were very, very heavy. I have stocked up on elephant-sized sanitary towels. I feel like hibernating but we've already done that for a week thanks to the snow

On the plus side, I always seem to retain water towards the end of my cycle and consequently lose a load of weight in one go after my period's finished.

Trill, you will get somewhere

We used to have a rowing machine out in the garage Trinity, but it was too cold in the winter to row out there. We do have a wii fit though.

BitOfFun · 11/01/2010 20:14

Are you not a fan of the cup of moon then, FB? I think they really help with heavy periods. I didn't really notice mine much (and it was bad) apart from the no shagging.

Saz - tell me about driving from Atlanta to Florida please? Anything you'd recommend?

DH and I are going to Florida in July but we wanted to fly into somewhere else and do a lot of driving but ending up in Florida as we're meeting up with people for the second week in a villa.

Trills, can recommend a fantastic hotel in Turkey - absolutely non chavvy, 5 star (proper 5 star, not foreign country 5 star) and fab prices out of season, wonderful food, posh restaurants included, beautiful beaches etc etc....the Concorde in Antalya.

bellavita · 11/01/2010 20:15

I don't think I could use a mooncup...

Lizzylou · 11/01/2010 20:19

WE honeymooned in Marrakech, beautiful.

OK, strictly between us:

She had the hairiest muff he'd ever seen, literally mid thigh

She made very strange noises

She had very strong muscles there (a good thing I'd have thought)

She kept on "doing wierd things" to him (no idea what they were but he has been married and is no virgin).

IN the morning he awoke to her "doing wierd things" to him, then she just popped up and said "I have to go and make a conference call"

I think that this was actually an excellent example of multitasking......

Thing is, they had got on briliantly before hand and he was v keen, then in the bedroom not his cup of tea. Not sure if he is vanilla (he didn't elaborate enough on wierd things) or she is overly frisky......

Why do I say he doesn't wnat to see her????

They're not that bad, Bella. Far, far better than I imagined as long as you trim the stalk.

I'm a bit wary of using mine since the Mirena coil, though, since one poster wrote about how hers was sucked out [hands on face a la Home Alone emoticon]

bellavita · 11/01/2010 20:22

Blimey Lizzy, I think you need to leave it to him to say why, I wouldn't get involved.

bellavita · 11/01/2010 20:23

Stalk it has a stalk....

SqueezyIsStartinAResolution · 11/01/2010 20:25

Lizzy, what a horrible position to be in. I'd just pretend that I know nothing at all. If he doesn't want to see her again, it's up to him to tell her in a nice way.

though.

DreamsInBinary · 11/01/2010 20:25

More like a spike

Oh yes. Very important to trim.

DreamsInBinary · 11/01/2010 20:29

LL - is she wasn't your friend that would be hilarious!

He seems a bit picky, doesn't he? Strong muscles, noises, weird things and a wake-up call are all good things, no? Boys can be so [yuk] when they are drunk with their mates.

Lizzylou · 11/01/2010 20:29

I know, I know more about her than I want to know now.

That'll teach me to fix people up.

Better talk to DH, he's rolling his eyes at me again

Lizzylou · 11/01/2010 20:31

DIB, he was very drunk when he told DH, he is also heartbroken after a bad split last year. I think he is looking for an exact replacement for his ex, and is being very picky.
I was very impressed with the muscles!
