Welcome to our 36th healthy eating thread, where we will renew any healthy eating resolutions with all the viguor that the Christmas munchies require...

We chat, keep each other on track, and monitor our goals together- some on the thread have lost shed loads of weight, some are running ridiculous distances. Some, of course (like myself and Shiney, our dubious leader) have been a bit, er, remiss really. But that can all change with a New Year!

Come and introduce yourself, old and new, and let's get Mumsnet's famous Shiney Healthy Eating Thread kicked off for 2010...

And i have no bloody soap powder left to wash all the stuff that has sick on it grrr

Mitts i'm so sorry to hear what a crappy time you have had so glad to hear you are coming through it and seeing some light at the end, and lovely to hear that your ds is laughing again

BitOfFun · 06/01/2010 00:07

Oh no Vinny

Poor wee thing- hopefully he will drop off soon and sleep it off. Any towels to put under him?

Off to bed now- catch you all tomorrow.

VinegarTits · 06/01/2010 00:08

i've no idea, just came out of the blue after i had put him into bed (my bed, we co-sleep) he was fine one min and throwing his guts up the next, didnt even say he felt ill before it

Trying to think what he has eaten today, but nothing i can think would have made him ill

VinegarTits · 06/01/2010 00:09

he has dropped off now, have put a towel under him and a bowl next to him ready to catch if he is sick again

i have stuck things in the wash with some shampoo and lots of fabric softner, it was mostly water towards the end anyway

MitsubishiWarrioress · 06/01/2010 02:00

Awww Vinny, poor litle mite (and you...).

Go on Sazz, I like the idea of getting your fella to do the washing and you taking the bins out.

Thanks for the support..

Home made Eclairs Mamazon.... They sell them next door...

Lizzylou · 06/01/2010 07:15

Home alone today, DH has taken both boys to PILs, so I can do some work (is the theory).

Mitts, I agree that you are bloody fantastic, I bet you are so proud of your DS, you both sound amazing.

Iggi, a corset you say? Wit woo.

Vinny, am really hoping that your little boy is OK today.

Sazz, make him do the washing and the bins, then see who is stupid, grrr on your behalf

Hi Lizzy... What will you be doing ?

Yes....a corset.... I have an original one from the 50's somewhere that my mum gave me......hmm.... I wonder where that is?

DD is going making an igloo with a friend today, and I can join them if I get the chance. It sounds like fun.

Right, more tea.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 06/01/2010 08:45

at revenge Sazz.. although if someone called me a stupid woman I would be childishly petty less magnanimous!! Small slugs might make their way into the lettuce...he he..

traceybath · 06/01/2010 09:01

Well the snow came so we're going nowhere today. DS's school still open but we can't get there.

Good job as am exhausted as DD awake pretty much all night and then ds2 woke too and I have a hideous headache.

grump, grump, grump.

IggiBurns · 06/01/2010 09:06

Hi Mitts, just saw you were online (I shouldn't be) and wanted to say how moved/inspired/sad/angryonyourbehalf your story last night made me feel. I haven't expressed that very well! You have been through so much, but you come across on the thread as being so strong and thoughtful, I really think this year will bring you some much-deserved respite from the bad times.

bellavita · 06/01/2010 09:14

Morning girls.

Have had a nice lie in this morning as did the boys.

It is blowing a gale, cold and snowing outside.

Might venture out for a walk later though get the old blood pumping round the body.

Shiney, I take it you haven't gone to work?

Mitts - you should be proud of yourself

Mamazon, well done on not eating an eclair.

How is DS2 this morning Vinny? Poor little thing.

TrillianAstra · 06/01/2010 09:20

Oooh, corset

No snow here, but I'd be in work even if there was.

Going to ex-housemates this evening, no idea what they'll be feeding me. I have some homemade leek and potato soup for lunch, and some smoothie, and some raisins.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 06/01/2010 09:35

What is this snow that everyone keeps talking about?
What does it look like?
How does it feel?
