oh jet - how lovely.

Yank - you made me smile. My postie is a horrid grumpy git - I do need a few lust objects (apart for DH of course) in my life.

bellavita · 22/12/2009 13:00

Hello

Just been to the dentist for my check up. He has done a small filling and I am trying to eat my sandwich with a numb mouth as we have to go out again for my hopefully last appointment with the consultant over my knee.

Well done on your 31b jet - and what a wonderful surprise for you. As Shiney said, dressing gown and slippers or a lovely throw.

Yank - we never have nice posties

TinselianAstra · 22/12/2009 13:28

Make sure you get something for you as well as for mini and junior Jet! Shiney is rihgt, somehting that can be used again and again is best, esp since they will grow out of stuff.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 22/12/2009 13:37

Yay Jet, well done on your loss and hurrah for your Next voucher!
Make sure that you get something for you as well, that is an order.

Have scrubbed downstairs loo, utility and kitchen. Must have burnt off some energy there, the place was a pit. I think I may clean my oven this afternoon, or maybe not.

I would love to go to bed with my book, but DH is a bit ill, is covered in coldsores and feeling sorry for himself, so not fair really.

TinselianAstra · 22/12/2009 14:22

Watch out Shiney, BoF is creating her own clique...

FlamingoCrimbo · 22/12/2009 14:38

Jet - 3lb is fab. Please don't be down on yourself because it's not as much as you'd hoped.

jinglejet · 22/12/2009 15:15

thanks for all your comments on my 3lbs loss Funny how its not what i am thinking about now......

anyway, have been shopping (quick, i know and have got this skirt for mini, and the pink top for junior, though for some reason on the site it has it marked as a grey sequin top? It is second from the bottom. I got her some black leggings to go with it, as she has got loads of nice tops she always wears with jeans, so leggings will be a change

I did have a look for me, but i couldnt justify spending £18 on pjs for me - even if it was a gift! I havent spent all the money on the card though, so may have a look in the sales.

And didnt think to look in the home section

MyCatHasARedderNoseThanRudolph · 22/12/2009 15:28

ummm... I know I was on here before and then buggered off cause I couldn't keep up... er, don't suppose I could pop in now and again for some moral support?

I've got a stone and half to go to get to a normal weight range (started at 17st 5lb, now down to 13st 2lb). I'm 40 in February and would really like to be down to 12st 7lb by then.

tell me to sod off again if you like and I'll go back to lurking like a bad smell and just stealing your tips.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 15:32

Fabulous Jet . on the loss and the gift voucher.

I would go for a throw like shiney said, you can all snuggle and enjoy together.

bellavita · 22/12/2009 15:33

Bloody 'ell jet, spend the money on nice pj's if you need some.. >

That BofF is a right one ain't she...

bellavita · 22/12/2009 15:35

Show us the pj's jet...

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 15:41

Oh yes Jet...nice PJ's are a real treat. G'wan.....

jinglejet · 22/12/2009 15:48

good luck with your knee bella

welcome back Mycat

  • thats some impressive weight loss!!

pjs wise, i liked these ones but i can get a different nice pair from Primark for a fiver

but, it has acutally made my day, as when i started back in July, i wouldnt have been able to fit into either Next or Primark clothes

I am now just waiting for junior to get home, so she can try on her dress/top and leggings. I did think similar things to you shiney - and lovely though the dresses were, i dont know if they would wear them again, esp mini as she is growing quite quickly.

So, the skirt, i thought i would go with her brown boots, and tartan/check is kind of christmass? She has a lovely cream thick cardi she got for her birthday a week ago, so just needs a little top underneath, and she is all done!

Junior - now that i hopefully have her new outfit sorted, i may just be able to afford some new boots for her

thanks again Mumsnet santa x

TinselianAstra · 22/12/2009 15:52

Hi Cat, of course you can pop in.

Go Jet on fitting into normal shop clothes We'll have you in Topshop eventually

bellavita · 22/12/2009 15:56

Hello Cat, welcome back.

Those are nice pj's jet.

jinglejet · 22/12/2009 16:04

topshop Now in my day, that was the place to be seen

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 16:05

Hi Cat... pop in and out as and when you need to, but we do like new folk to chat at to.

I have used my current ironing board cover for a couple of months (washing it regularly). However on ironing a white linen sheet, it has leeched bright pink flowers onto it. I have put it straight in the wash (is that the right thing to do?) but have that sick feeling when things go wrong.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 16:09

I love Republic and adore Apricot, I am wearing a silly seasonal top from Apricot and would have one of everything from there.

awastingamanger · 22/12/2009 16:11

Afternoon!

Glad you've had such a nice morning Jet. You really deserve it.
I wanted to mention that once you've done low-fat diet for a while, you may find that fatty food goes through you regardless of any meds.

Hello again MyCat! You've done brilliantly! When did you start?

Hope the weather clears for you all. It's all slush and ice here now. Which was fun walking to Morrisons.

VinegarTinselTits · 22/12/2009 16:11

airport website is now saying ds1 flight not due in till 7.27pm, still cant get in touch with him, just want him to be home now

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 16:13

Are we doing a new thread in absence of our Glorious leader and the thread t.i.t?

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 16:14

Thinking of you Vinny, a worry, but he will be home soon...

bellavita · 22/12/2009 16:39
