oh stop it you lot with your domestic goddessness. Can't remember the last time I did any baking with kids. Instead I sent one of them to pre-school with no lunch today - had to give her the sandwich DH had made for me so I ended up having no lunch and DD was v. unhappy with just a sandwich and 'no nice bits'.

Would love to ask more about shiney's new man and Bof's plumber but I suspect that's dangerous ground.

Hey vinny, how are you?

Ciao bella - job is digital project manager and I'm completely lost. Seriously. Come home almost in tears everyday.

Mamazontopofsantabeingrude · 21/12/2009 21:02

oh trust me, i am very domesticly un godess like. its why i only bake with the children. if the stiuff we make comnes out shite i can blame it on them and force the relatives to eat it anyway

FlamingoCrimbo · 21/12/2009 21:03

Hi Vaca!

Just swore at someone on that AIBU thread who suggested she couldn't stay in a relationship with someone who was naive enough to forward that email.

Mamazontopofsantabeingrude · 21/12/2009 21:07

i have seen the thread Flamingo. I posted on it but darent return for fear of being branded the next DP

bellavita · 21/12/2009 21:08

Vaca - nooooo it was Shineys plumber.... (not the new man)

Blimey, Digital Project Manager sounds a serious job.... coming home nearly in tears every night does not sound good though

Mamazon - mmmm jam tarts sound good.

FlamingoCrimbo · 21/12/2009 21:20

I saw that you were in danger of being bashed, Mamazon. Looks like DP's got most of the attention though, luckily for you!

People can be very mean in the kind of ganging up way on MN sometimes

YanknChristmasCrackers · 21/12/2009 21:27

you okay, Flamingo? Just saw the other thread. Don't let her get to you, she doesn't know your DH and is just talking out her arse. FWIW, my DH occasionally says things that I think about and I always call him on it. Usually he hasn't thought it through very thoroughly before opening his mouth and immediately sees where he's gone wrong, just like your DH.

Now my BIL on the other hand....

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/12/2009 21:27

I have just tried and failed to get into my car. its frozen shut Going to make tomo exciting.

awastingamanger · 21/12/2009 21:46

Evening all! I don't like being too busy to MN, get twitchy.

Hello all poppers-in! Good to see you.

Flamingo, read your op, your first reaction was correct imo.

Vinny, hope you can get xfil sorted out.

Mamazon, MrsR is on another planet.

Shiney, I'm with them ^
DH looks sooo different to how he did 10 years ago.
Maybe a good woman will help him relaxxx a little.

Yank, yay for a pound! Yay for the mattress!

FlamingoCrimbo · 21/12/2009 22:30

Yank - I'm fine, just pissed off that she could say that when my DH hasn't got a bad bone in his body. He's just naive and doesn't read between the lines like I do.

TinselianAstra · 21/12/2009 23:01

Hi Mamzon and Vaca, welcome (back)!

Thanks for the baking compliments Bella - I don't think I'm a close second to you really, I just make more of a fuss.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 21/12/2009 23:37

Evening all! John Bishop was fabulous- loved him. He even had a few cock jokes.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 22/12/2009 07:02

Morning ladies.

What a morning. DH has been trying to get out the driveway for an hour. Was meant to start work half an hour ago. The car is now completely stuck and won't move an inch.

Bloody freezing too, -3 degrees, brrr.

FlamingoCrimbo · 22/12/2009 07:03

Squeeze - . It's nothing like this here at all!

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 22/12/2009 07:11

Morning Flamingo

He is going to wait till the farmer across the road gets up and see if he can either give us a push or bring the tractor over or maybe he has some road salt.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 22/12/2009 07:35

We have had wintery conditions, I live at the bottom of a very big hill, and the buses were struggling on Sunday.

I think I am down to my last load of work, (I have been up since 4). Apart from an out of house job today. I am, in all honesty, knackered.

FB, don't take any notice, some people are far too 'cat's bum' for their own good, like my MIL.

Only problem with being this tired is I tend to go on a carb fest.

Mind is scrambled so festive love to you all.

VinegarTinselTits · 22/12/2009 09:01

Morning all, its has snowed over night here too but its not too bad, i think i can at least still get out for last minute bits today (going to poundland for stocking fillers and resolve (only £1 for a box ))

Ds1 is due home from Lanzarote today, he has not replied to any texts though so slightly worried that the airport might be shut again due to snow

p.s i love you all, dont know what i would do without this thread

hellsbelles · 22/12/2009 09:11

morning all,

Yank - blimey - nice to hear delivery men going out of their way to do a good job for once!

Flam - I know I always say this but I really wouldn't give that silly woman the honour of even an oz of brain space. She doesn't know your DH (or you) and is talking . It's so easy to be 'perfect' in cyberspace and she's just milking it.

VinegarTinselTits · 22/12/2009 09:21

omg i just heard thunder

VinegarTinselTits · 22/12/2009 09:23

it is now snowing very heavily but i also heard thunder

I thought it only thundered when it rained?

TinselianAstra · 22/12/2009 09:34

Thunder is clouds hitting together, right? So can you get snow clouds thundering? Snow isn't that different from rain, it's just colder. (does anyone have DCs who are doing weather in school at the moment?)

Sounds very dramatic anyway.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 22/12/2009 09:35

Aw VT, the festive spirit is kicking in Hope your boy gets home ok

Mitts, hope you have a good day and manage to get everything done, fingers crossed.

And hells, I hope you're managing to get on top of the washing situation

Car is still stuck, snow is crispy on top and icy underneath, bloody lethal.

VinegarTinselTits · 22/12/2009 09:38

just got some flight information, his flight was due a 02.55 but has not arrived, just says 'next information at 8.30' getting worried now

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 22/12/2009 09:39

Who is he flying with VT? I'll see if DH can find anything out for you.

VinegarTinselTits · 22/12/2009 09:40

i thought the thunder clouds only happened because of the warm weather, its distant thunder now, very strange
