...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

My toothache has got worse, I am going to have to give in and try and get an emergency appointment. I want to cry it hurts that much.

Just had some lovely dumplings with some nice thick homemade chicken soup and I couldn't even enjoy it.

Hello everyone.

BitOfFun · 06/12/2009 18:30

I'd go for Ignatius, BB- Iggy for short.

God, that's made me want to have a baby boy now. How cool would a kid called Iggy Jones be?

Hey ladies, and hi again to Reality! Haven't seen you much lately. My weigh in day is Monday and I am scared. This week has been sooooo bad. DH work xmas party on Saturday and I don't think all the spanx in the world are going to help me look alright in my dress. Also been ages since I put on makeup, have probably forgotten how!

Is someone naming their child after me?

MistressIggi · 06/12/2009 19:40

Feeling all glowly thanks to folk who congratulated me on (small) weightloss. Shame I ate a slab of tablet today. Oh but it was lovely.

bellavita · 06/12/2009 20:10

Shiney - am glad you put non sexually... but actually even it was, I am in too much pain to care!

Oh yes, well done Iggy

MistressIggi · 06/12/2009 20:13

Are you on any painkillers Bella? Getting the emergency appoint. usually helps the pain go away, in my experience! Poor you.

TinselianAstra · 06/12/2009 20:16

Is BoF up making another thread baby as we speak?

Went to go see stars. They were pretty. Oven chips are in the oven.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 06/12/2009 20:23

I am very fucj=ked off, pooter is mucking me about, will tell all tomorrow, when everyting has calmed down but woul be good to get your perspective.

jaquelinehyde · 06/12/2009 20:31

Bella I feel for you, I have just gone through weeks and weeks of tooth ache. It ended in me having my tooth pulled out 2 weeks ago.
Well I say pulled out, it took three of them to try, it broke half way through, they dug around for over an hour, discovered my tooth was double rooted and curled under the bone so they cut into my bone (fabbo) and still couldn't get it out! So they left it, and if it hurts anymore I'm off to hospital to have it removed. Hurrah just what I wanted.

Sorry for my little sob story, I'm sure yours will be sorted with a simple visit to the dentists Did you book the emergency appointment?

I'm on the secret santa mission, will have it sorted within days

DidSantasMum · 06/12/2009 20:49

eeek not going to get ss in post erm been a bit preoccupied ... has anyone else just had an interruption to connectivity to mn or isw it just me?

Right off to abke the biscuit that we have cut out, now that ds is safely in bed.

BitOfFun · 06/12/2009 20:51

Oh bellaaa- you poor thing, how awful for you. I think dental pain is just the worst. I had a filling with no anaesthetic once, and it was worse than giving birth.

Jaq, I will ring the dentist tomorrow morning, thing is I have my check up on the 22nd of this month too - if I could just hang on till then, but I can't. It is one of my crowned teeth that hurts. I remember the dentist saying when he did it that it may need root canal treatment further down the line... When I first had it crowned, it hurt like this and I went back and he gave me some antibiotics which cleared it up. Ouch for you though having to go to the hospital.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 06/12/2009 20:55

Evening ladies

Busy weekend. All Christmas shopping is bought and wrapped under the tree, am so proud of myself.

Drank quite a bit last night, made a big lovely veggie lasagne but haven't had the munchies today so that is good.

jaquelinehyde · 06/12/2009 21:00

Definately ring tomorrow bella and remember you can take paracetamol and ibuprofen at the same time (2 hr gaps is best) I would never wish tooth ache on anyone it sucks!

jaquelinehyde · 06/12/2009 21:04

Squeezy - well done on the Xmas front, that is some serious organisation.

MistressIggi · 06/12/2009 21:08

Nice to see you back Jaq by the way.

bellavita · 06/12/2009 21:11

That is one thing I can be thank full for Iggi, all my shopping is done and meat ordered at the butchers. Crackers bought, table ware bought, drinks bought.

I just need someone to wrap it all now!

MistressIggi · 06/12/2009 21:21

I'll do your wrapping if you'll just nip out to the shops for me!

DidSantasMum · 06/12/2009 21:22

Well being smug is the quickest way to down fall. i had just discovered i have forgoten someone on the christmas shopping . aT Least there is time to fix it...

BitOfFun · 06/12/2009 21:23

I have done most of my shopping too- pretty much all online, I think. I never wrap anything until Xmas Eve though, with It's A Wonderful Life on in the background and a glass of wine. That is the closest I've got to a Christmas tradition, I think.

Very excited at the John Bishop tickets- that should be a good night out.
